GL WEEK OF FEBRUARY 16, 2009 RECAPS

At the farm, Natalia comforted Olivia, who broke down after hearing the news of Phillip's return. They assured each other that they trust in one another and will stick together to protect Emma, no matter what.
Frank denied Bill access to see Phillip in jail. Meanwhile, Lillian was pleased when Coop woke up from his surgery. Lizzie paid Coop a visit and apologized for treating him so terribly. She urged him to get better so he can be there for Beth. Coop said he's happy that Beth didn't marry Alan and
because of that, he has succeeded. Coop then surmised that Lizzie misses Bill and advised her to have a heart to heart with Beth to "forgive and forget and not let Alan come between you." After, a tearful Beth stepped outside and prayed, "God, please don't take him away. He's a good person." Lizzie approached her mom and revealed that she saw Phillip at the crash site. She expressed her fear and warned Beth that he's a threat to everyone. Beth countered that Alan is the enemy and that Coop's alive because of Phil.
They bickered and Beth reminded Lizzie that they both need her father right now. Lizzie called Beth fickle, weak and starry eyed as she blasted her for swooning over Phillip while her other love, Coop, is on the verge of death. Then Lizzie noted that every man she's loved has failed her, saying, "Next
time I fall in love, I'll be armed."
An emotional Buzz woke up at Jenna's grave and tried to explain away his regret, saying that he was only trying to make Coop happy and protect him, but now he blames himself for the accident. Then he begged her to help him
through this ordeal, adding "Where are you now!?" He then recalled holding Coop when he was a little boy and pointed out that he's afraid that he's going to lose him. Lillian arrived to tell Buzz to return to Cedars because Coop is awake. He returned and happily greeted Coop, whose condition had
been stabilized. Buzz excitedly discussed Coop's big get well party and was stunned when Coop said he's not sure how much time he has left. Coop thanked him for being such a great dad and said he's proud of him. Buzz was touched
and started to cry when he realized that his son was trying to say good-bye. "You're going to be fine," Buzz said before leaving to fetch a doctor.
Bill stopped by the farm to pay Olivia a visit. She continued to freak out about Phillip, but he assured her that Emma is safe. Then Olivia planted an unexpected buss on him. Bill was stunned; Liv apologized and said that she just needed someone to tell her everything will be okay. She then explained to Bill that she's afraid Phillip will target her because of the living situation with Natalia. Bill chalked it up to a big misunderstanding and said it won't even faze Phil, but Liv revealed that she does have feelings for Nat that are more than just female friendship. Later, Natalia returned
from Cedars and pointed out to Olivia that it was difficult being there because it's been almost a year since Gus's death. Then she added that she wanted nothing else than to be back at the farm with Liv, who promised that she's not going anywhere.
Bill saw Lizzie crying outside of Cedars and tried to comfort her. When she tried to blame him for her grief, he reminded her that they belong together. He advised her to steer clear of Alan and Cyrus, however, adding that they'll only set her up for more hurt by manipulating her. Outraged, Lizzie blasted Bill for trying to turn everyone against her and demanded that he leave her alone. Meanwhile, Beth went back inside to see Coop. They shared a sweet moment and he thanked her for everything she's brought into his life. "Promise me you'll never forget who you are and all that you can do," Beth cried as she urged him not to give up and expressed her love for him, adding, "You freed me!" Coop gave her a letter and told her to read it later, then, as his breathing became harder, begged her to find Buzz for him. Frank ran out to find his pop; Beth panicked when she realized Coop was saying farewell. Lillian promised her everything would be okay and urged her to call Peyton's nanny. Beth opened Coop's letter, laughed and started to sob.
Buzz returned to Coop's room and tried to soothe him by telling him the story of how Coop came into his life. Coop started to fade away. Buzz implored him to fight. "You know what makes me the proudest?" Coop whispered, "I'm just like you." Then he suddenly flat lined. Buzz yelled in anguish as the medical team rushed in.
