Natalia informed Olivia that she was going to spend the weekend with Frank. After, she kept Emma company while the little girl made Valentine's Day cards for her classmates. Emma was disappointed that Natalia wouldn't be there for Valentine's Day. Natalia joined them as she waited to leave for her trip; Frank then called Natalia and told her about Coop's car accident.

Mallet tried to comfort Marina, who was worried about an injured Coop. She felt guilty that she hadn't gotten him a Valentine's Day card. Instead, she gave him a novelty mug from the hospital store as a way to remind him that they have a lot to look forward to. Meanwhile, Lillian tried to calm Beth and assured her daughter that Coop would be okay. "I'm so scared," Beth sobbed, breaking down in her mother's arms. Lillian went to check on Coop, while Beth said a prayer.

At the hospital, Daisy told Ashlee that there's a lot going on with Grady, which is why she didn't want him joining them.

Lizzie went to the scene of the crash, where she ran into Phillip. He told her that he tried to get in touch with her. "What are you doing here?" she whispered. "I had to see you," he replied. "Stay away from me," she demanded. She was surprised when Phillip said that he knew about Coop's accident and accused him of spying on her. She then let her father have it for turning on her. "I will never forgive myself," he said quietly. "I'm back here to show you I'm sorry. I'm going to prove it." Lizzie admitted that she wished he were still dead. Phillip pleaded with her to let him be part of her life, explaining that he was sick and needed time to get well and be the father she deserved. "I wanted to come back a million times, but I knew I couldn't do it until I could make things right," he said. He asked for another chance. Later, he asked Lizzie about her kidnapping, but she didn't want to discuss it. "I will never let anyone hurt you again," he promised. Lizzie didn't believe him and again told him to go away. Before leaving, he handed her a box. "Just open it," he urged. It was an old stuffed bear of Lizzie's that he'd found in the attic. He explained it was for Sarah. Lizzie opened up a bit as she discussed her daughter and was visibly touched that he'd saved her toy. He promised to help her find Sarah. Just then, Phillip was arrested.... Natalia and Olivia were shocked when Frank called to tell them about Phillip's return. Liv panicked and wanted to leave town with Emma. She stated that she'd kill him before she let him take Emma from her.... Phillip explained to Frank that he was the one who got Coop to the hospital.... Natalia became upset when Liv began talking about getting a gun. She advised Liv not to get worked up and stated that they're not going anywhere. "You've got me. Let me be strong for you," Nat said. "Trust me."

Coop was wheeled into surgery as Beth, Ashlee, Daisy, Marina and Mallet looked on, concerned. Lillian soon informed them that the surgery went well, but he was still unconscious. When she said that two people at a time could see him, Beth stated that it should be family first. Daisy went and took Ashlee with her. They thanked him for always being a hero and begged him to wake up. He soon awakened and was talking. Next, Mallet and Marina went to see him. "I feel like there's a truck on my chest," Coop groaned. "My family spends too much time in this place." Marina promised him that he'd be fine and joked about the traffic fines he'd be getting. She then suggested that they take a family vacation when he's well ... and shared the news that she made the adoption list. Coop was confident that she and Mallet would make great parents. After, they returned to the waiting room and told Beth that Coop went to sleep, but had said Beth's name. Marina suggested that Beth sit with him.... Ashlee admitted to Daisy that she regretted breaking up with Coop and that she still loves him.... Coop awakened when Beth joined him. "You're crazy," she told him. "You're worth it," he whispered. She rested her head against him.

A guilty Lizzie sat on the bed clutching the bear Phillip gave her and cried. Meanwhile, Phillip was thrown in jail. "Welcome home, Phillip," he said to himself.
