Over breakfast, Reva encouraged Jeffrey to search for the mystery man following Shayne. When Jeffrey went to Shayne's room, he found the guy snooping through Shayne's things. He told him that Lara's father sent him to get info on Shayne, gave Jeffrey Lara's father's number, and took off just as Shayne was coming home. Shayne demanded to know who he was, and Jeffrey told him that Lara's father had sent him. Shayne said he didn't know anything about Lara's father, and asked Jeffrey why he was in his room. Jeffrey said he was just trying to make Reva happy. Jeffrey left, and when Reva called he told her what he'd learned. She asked Jeffrey to see what he could find out about Lara's family, but he didn't want to miss her doctor's appointment. Reva insisted he take care of Shayne and she'd take care of the baby.

Shayne found Reva at the park, and she was pleased to see him walking again. When she tried asking about Lara, Shayne quickly changed to subject. Reva told him she had an appointment, and Shayne offered to go with her. At the hospital, Reva told Shayne she'd been taping messages for the baby in case she wasn't around. Shayne didn't want to hear her speak that way, but Reva asked him to record a message too. He told his little brother that he was lucky to have Reva as a mom. Shayne wanted to leave, but Reva sat him down and told him that she still had hope in miracles because he was walking again and she was surviving cancer again. She wanted him to have hope, too. Later, Shayne left a message for Lara's dad and offered his condolences. Meanwhile, Reva decided to have a memorial for Lara, even thought Dinah said it was a bad idea.

Remy surprised Christina at the Park with coffee, and asked her to spend the day with him. Christina thought it was sweet that he was trying to distract her from being nervous about the MCAT scores, so she went along with it. Remy told her she'd be tagging along with him to work. Later, Remy and Christina celebrated her 38 MCAT score with a long, passionate kiss.

Mallet and Marina dropped off Maureen at Dinah's and told her that they'd caught her shoplifting. Dinah made Maureen call Vanessa to tell her what happened then apologized to Mallet and Marina and explained that Maureen was acting out for attention. Dinah told them she was sure they'd be attentive parents, unlike Vanessa and Matt, and then Mallet broke the news that they couldn't have children. Dinah was surprisingly sympathetic. She offered a few encouraging words and mentioned adoption. When Marina and Mallet went home, they questioned whether or not they would be good parents. After thinking it over, they both agreed that they definitely wanted to adopt.
