Lizzie tore pages out of her diary. She said goodbye to Roxy, and asked Lillian to find the dog a new home since she couldn't take care of her anymore. Lillian was shocked, and tried to convince Lizzie she was making a mistake. She reminded Lizzie that she wasn't Alan, and she couldn't hide her feelings the way he could. Lizzie said she was just looking for a way to live without Bill.

Bill explained his actions to Billy. Billy couldn't see how reading Lizzie's diary would help him. Bill explained that Alan was taking Lizzie to New York and asked Billy to help him stop her from leaving.

Coop talked to Buzz as he searched for his manuscript, and couldn't find it, but soon realized he had a copy on his hard drive. Just then, Beth walked in. Coop asked her if she made a decision and they got into an argument about sneaking around. He wanted her to meet him for dinner. He told her to stand up for them, for herself, and for Lizzie. Frank greeted them and walked over to Buzz mentioning how weird Coop had been acting. The subject soon turned to Natalia, and Buzz told Frank he should makes things happen.

Olivia and Natalia listened as Emma gave her presentation about her two mommies and Olivia got more uncomfortable by the minute. When she ran off, Olivia pointed out that everyone had been looking at them. Natalia left to call Rafe, and the teacher approached Olivia. It was clear she was under the impression that Olivia and Natalia were lesbians. Olivia tried to explain that was not the case, but they were interrupted before she was able to. She left and went to Towers, where she ogled men.

Beth rushed home to see Lizzie, who wasn't thrilled to see her. Beth was shocked to hear about Roxy. She said she'd come to apologize but that she'd changed her mind. Lillian ran into Bill while she was walking Roxy. She urged Bill to do something about Lizzie. She told him that she was giving Roxy away. Bill said he would take her. Back at the mansion, Lizzie and Beth argued. Billy interrupted them. After Beth left, Lizzie accused Billy of coming on Bill's orders. She wondered how many times she was supposed to let Bill hurt her. He urged her to take a chance on love and left. Alone, Lizzie found Roxy's bed and cried. Eventually, she got up, looked at herself in the mirror, and got herself together. Bill ran into Beth, and she apologized for doubting him. She urged him to be patient before walking away. Bill told Roxy it was good advice.

Natalia told Frank about what happened to Rafe. He offered to help, and then kissed her. She apologized if she'd given him the wrong impression. He insisted he still wanted to help Rafe. She thanked him and left. Frank let Buzz know that he kissed Natalia and it had gone horribly. He suggested Buzz give his advice to himself next time. Meanwhile, Natalia went home talked to Olivia about Frank helping Rafe. Olivia said she'd stopped by Towers to check out the men‹ next time she'd bring Natalia and Mrs. Jennings so she could see for herself. Natalia knew Olivia was upset about Emma's presentation, but couldn't understand why. Olivia did everything but spell it out for her, and finally planted a big kiss on Natalia.

Billy told Bill that seeing Lizzie was like seeing a pint-sized Alan, but he didn't think Bill should give up. He said Alan had been bested before... and that sometimes it takes a Spaulding to beat a Spaulding. A light bulb went off in Bill's head and he rushed off. At the hospital, Bill found Rick and demanded he tell him where to find Phillip Spaulding.

Coop was about to give up on Beth meeting him for dinner when she walked in.
