Grady's murder trial continued. After her emotional testimony, Cassie was dismissed from the stand. She stared down Grady on her way back to her seat. In the gallery, Reva, Josh and Frank discussed Cassie's statement. Josh departed to go check on her. Jeffrey, meanwhile, called Daisy to the witness stand. Cassie left the courthouse after telling Josh she's done all she can to avenge her daughter's death. After, Cyrus and Grady also discussed Cassie's testimony. Grady admitted that Cassie got to him, adding that he wishes he'd never returned to Springfield.

Alan and Daisy caught up at the makeshift memorial located at the site of Tammy's death. Alan tried to tell Daisy that Gus is looking out for her and that everyone deserves a second chance so she should not worry about testifying in court. After, Daisy recalled her boarding school days when she first met Grady, remembering how she was wooed by his bad-boy vibes even then. She headed back to the courthouse.

Josh found Cassie at Tammy's grave. Cassie took him by surprise, asking for a divorce immediately so she can start a new chapter in her life now that the trial is behind her. She expressed her disappointment in their failed marriage, but told Josh she's not angry at him. Josh noted that their marriage didn't fail, it just didn't last and agreed to give Cassie her divorce. Later, the duo paid Mel a visit to file for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Mel was stunned and encouraged Josh and Cassie to explain to her what had happened. They both stated that they've changed. After deciding that Cassie would retain custody of RJ but that Josh would be involved in his life, Mel finalized the paperwork and Josh gave Cassie a ride home. They shared a bittersweet good-bye and Josh departed.

At Company, Frank downed a beer. Then, he spilled to Natalia that Zach (who was with Harley) is back in town. Tipped off that something must have happened with Harley, Nat demanded that Frank tell her about Rafe and Harley's whereabouts. When Frank revealed that the duo was spotted by someone who "shoots now and thinks later," Nat freaked out, worried about her son.

Back at the courthouse, Jeffrey told Reva that he can't go easy on Daisy during the trial, even if she is Reva's granddaughter. Later, Daisy arrived and informed Jeffrey and Reva that she'd visited the spot where Tammy died. She admitted she feels terrible about her cousin's death and took the stand. Jeffrey began his questioning and Daisy confirmed that Grady is the person who drove the car that killed Tammy. Grady looked on nervously as Daisy took the blame for the accident, claiming that Grady lost control of the car because he was caring for her, adding that she was high and got sick from pills. Reva looked on in shock as Jeffrey continued badgering Daisy, claiming the teen had changed her statement. He reminded the jury that Daisy's had other run-ins with the law and can not be trusted to tell the truth.

After her testimony, Daisy stormed out. Reva chased after her, demanding to know why she lied on the stand. Daisy reasoned that she's already ruined one life, why ruin another, too? She surmised that Jeffrey would try to charge her with perjury, then reminded Reva that she's always been an outsider in Springfield and urged Reva to give Grady another chance because he's an outsider as well. Then, Daisy broke down as she reflected on how everyone in her life has abandoned her. Reva tried to comfort her, then told Daisy she made a big mistake in lying about Grady.

Meanwhile, back in court, Jeffrey questioned Cyrus who tried to defend his brother's honor. After, Jeffrey gave his final statement to the jurors, asking them to find Grady guilty of murder. After a brief deliberation, the jury returned with a verdict. Just as Cassie returned to the courthouse, Grady was deemed not guilty. Daisy hugged a relieved Grady as Alan smiled. Jeffrey, Reva and Cassie, however, were devastated by the surprising verdict. Reva urged Jeffrey to move on, but he refused. "It's not over," he spat as he watched Grady embrace Daisy

After everyone left the courthouse, Alan told Natalia that Grady's innocence proves that his messages from Gus are accurate and said that now he has time to help her find and save Rafe. Convinced, Nat phoned Rafe and urged him to come home. Cassie retreated to Tammy's grave and apologized to her daughter for not doing enough to prove Grady guilty, adding that she has to move on with her life. Cyrus watched from afar.
