Outside Metro Court Hotel, the hostage situation escalated. Mac ordered Rodriguez and Lucky to go inside and get as many people as possible out before things got worse. Meanwhile, Spinelli told Jason about Alacazar's briefcase; Jason quickly ran off to find Skye at the hospital and demanded to know what exactly Alcazar had that the robbers needed, broke the news that they were holding everyone hostage and people were going to die if she didn't help hand over whatever they needed. Skye claimed she didn't know anything, but remembered that Alan and Emily were there for the charity gala occurring on the top floor. She told Jason that Alcazar was only acting as a middle man for Mr. Craig. Then Patrick arrived to tell Skye that Alcazar was fine, but he was waiting on test results so he could remove more shrapnel. Jason let Patrick in on the news about the situation at Metro and told him he needed to wake Alcazar up, stat! They needed the access code to the briefcase; Alcazar's the only one who knows it.

Inside, Maxie and Three were still stuck in the vault. Maxie was curious about why there was a flashing light on the briefcase; Three informed her it was set up to self-destruct if anyone tried to take it. Just to make sure. She nervously made an attempt at conversation in order to find out the identity of this "Three" character, but he said he wasn't interested. Maxie couldn't believe that "Three" wasn't curious what was inside the briefcase, especially since it could possibly kill them.

Meanwhile, in the lobby, Sonny dared Mr.Craig to shoot him; Mr. Craig cocked his gun and pointed it at Carly, seething "Ladies, first." Later, a severely injured Robin started moaning. Alan said he was a doctor and begged the robbers to let him help her; no dice. Sonny spoke up, reminding the criminals that if they get caught they'll go to prison for good, especially for killing innocent people then asked once again if medical personnel could assist Robin. Finally the baddie allowed Elizabeth, Emily and Alan to assist Robin. Then Alan lost it and railed at Mr.Craig because he was unable to properly care for Robin in such conditions; the hooligan had Alan pistol-whipped and he fell to the ground.

At the charity at Metro Restaurant, no one was aware of the events unfolding below them. Monica searched for Alan, who had gone missing with Lulu. Meanwhile, Georgie snarked at Dillon, who sarcastically called Georgie's Prof. Pete her "slave driver." Then Georgie snapped at Dillon for only paying attention to her once Lulu left the room. When everyone found out the elevator was broken, tensions rose. Tracy commented that she was having a bout of déjà vu because the exact same thing happened when the Port Charles Hotel fire occurred; no elevator service and a large group of people trapped on the top floor. Everyone scoffed at her until Lucky suddenly arrived with Rodriguez (both in bullet-proof vests) to ask the charity-goers to please quietly and calmly evacuate the building because of a "security matter." They all escaped down the stairs, but once outside they started counting those who were still missing; Chaos erupted.

Later, Nikolas offered the criminals one million dollars (admitting he was a filthy rich Cassadine) if they let Robin go; Sonny countered that he had a better offer because he had lots of power in the P.C. He bartered that he'd find a way for the robbers to escape if they let Robin go; they weren't digging the proposition. Then Carly tried to create a diversion, but Sonny stopped her, demanding she not do anything he doesn't tell her to do. Meanwhile, Mac called the "kidnappers" who smugly informed him that they'd shot Robin; Spinelli spread word to Jason, who told a shocked Patrick.

Back outside, Luke didn't agree with how Mac was handling the hostage crisis, noting that Lulu was still inside. Mac said he was doing the best he could and added that Georgie, Robin and Maxie were inside as well. When Luke discovered where Lulu was last seen, he resolved to go inside to find her but Mac stopped him. Meanwhile, Jason and Spinelli tried to figure out why the hostages were being kept alive.

At the end of the episode, when Skye ran into Monica who was retrieving Robin's medical files, she lost it, screamed in anguish and threw her papers across the room. Meanwhile, Mes (one of the bad guys) explains to the hostages that the entire hotel is laced with explosives so they better just sit down and relax unless they all want to die. Sonny decided the masked men were likely going to wait until the vault was opened then blow up the entire hotel, but told Carly he was going to devise a plan because he wasn't going to let that happen.

Shooting their guns into the air, Mr. Craig and his masked mercenaries stormed the Metro Court and took everyone in the lobby hostage. Sonny surmised to Carly this wasn't a routine robbery and that "these guys are after something." Corinthos also wondered if Alcazar was somehow involved. Carly thought the voice of Mr. Craig sounded familiar. After the hotel's communications were cut and the security cameras were disabled, Mr. Craig ordered two of his goons, named Three and Five to search the vault and they took Maxie, who had been annoying them with her comments, along as assurance. While they were rifling through safety deposit boxes, Sam pushed the panic button which locked Maxie inside the vault with Three (Five was able to get out). When Carly announced that the vault can't be opened while in this mode, Sonny advised Mr. Craig to cut his losses and escape. Sonny even offered to go along as a hostage. Instead, he forced everyone to play a "get to know you" game. Everyone had to take turns describing themselves but Mr. Craig fired a shot and struck Robin.

While visiting Laura at Shadybrook, Luke encountered Lucky. "It's good to see you again," Lucky gushed to his father and they embraced. After Lucky left, Luke realized that Scott had visited Laura. Meanwhile, Bobbie met up with Scott and she filled him in on Laura's brief recovery. Scott became uneasy when he learned that Laura also remembered how Rick Webber really died. Scott later crossed paths with Luke, who ordered him to stay away from Laura.

Jason found out about the hostage crisis at Metro and was joined by Lucky, Rodriguez and Mac. While the police contemplated their next move, Jason ordered Spinelli to hack into the hotel's computer. The cops announced to the crooks that they had the hotel surrounded. Jason discovered that Alcazar's briefcase was also in the vault.

Patrick informed Alcazar that his headaches could mean something seriously wrong but Alcazar refused to undergo tests. "No business deal is worth your life," Skye declared. After the tests, Patrick said Alcazar needed immediate surgery to stop bleeding in his brain. Skye insisted on handling his transaction. Alcazar explained that the briefcase (now locked in the vault) contained a timing device that required a six-digit code to be entered at regular intervals or else the contents would be destroyed. Before Alcazar could recite the code to Skye, he suffered a seizure.

At Metro Court, Kelly reassured Sam that just because she can't carry a child, that doesn't mean she can't be a mother. Sam replied by saying that after everything they've been through together, she couldn't being a surrogate into the mix.

On the bridge, Jason told Elizabeth that wondering if her baby was his changed the way he thought about having kids. He wished that he could see Liz happy again but said he can't tell her what to do. Liz shared that she didn't regret their night together.

Alexis visited Sonny at the coffeehouse to discuss his testimony in the upcoming custody hearing, Sonny promised to be, "The most polite, charming witness the court has ever seen." Just then, Ric showed up to search the place for pot. Sonny and Alexis berated Ric as Lucky carried out Ric's orders. After the search turned up nothing, Alexis asked for a moment alone with Ric. She told him, "You win. You have won our sad little war. Be gracious in your victory." She then asked him to drop the suit and he could see Molly whenever he wanted. Ric said he couldn't. He insisted Molly come live with him, for her own benefit.

Carly literally bumped into Mr Craig, unaware of his true identity. Craig then met with Alcazar and proclaimed, "I'm in charge now."

As the Q's gathered to leave for the charity gala, Luke showed up at the mansion. Tracy asked the family for a moment alone with her wandering husband, and asked Luke what his first stop was back in town. He said there was no point in seeing Laura. "Did you divorce me in absentia?" he asked. No, she replied. Luke assured Tracy that he wasn't settling for her, despite his love for Laura. Lulu was thrilled to see her dad had returned. She filled him in about Helena kidnapping Spencer and said she held no animosity about his latest disappearance. He was proud of how grown up his daughter had become. She asked him to the charity gala but he said he was too tired. They hugged and she walked out. Tracy berated Luke on his lousy parenting skills. He countered by admitting, "I like being Mr. Tracy. We are husband and wife until you say otherwise."

At the hospital, Patrick refused Robin's request to retake the HIV test. Robin got indignant and called his behavior a slap in the face to anyone who died before treatment for HIV was available. She said she'd stand beside him through anything except his ignorance and stormed off.

Nikolas and Emily visited Laura at Shadybrook and told her about Spencer's safe return. As Nik thanked his mother for looking out for them, Scotty showed up with daisies. When the kids left, Scotty visited with his first love and apologized to her for being away during her brief recovery. Just then, Luke arrived. Scotty heard Luke's conversation in the hall with Lainey and managed to sneak out without being detected. Luke entered Laura's room and saw the daisies. "You have a visitor? he asked his catatonic love.

At Metro Court, Carly told Bobbie about Sonny's games. Bobbie said it sounded like something her daughter would do and asked Carly if she really wanted to go through with a divorce. Carly insisted she still loves Jax.

Liz arrived for the gala. Sam told Liz that the pregnant nurse had what she wanted most in the world but doesn't seem to appreciate it. Liz replied that Sam doesn't know what she's talking about should keep her opinions to herself. Maxie almost overheard Sam mention that Liz slept with Jason.

Robin met with Alan and she told him of Patrick's choice. Alan pointed out that once Stone was determined to be HIV, Robin did the same thing and refused to take a test. She acknowledged the truth and regretted her snippiness with Patrick.

At the hospital, Epiphany wouldn't have any of Patrick's guff and told him to take it to a shrink. Patrick told Noah about his test dilemma. Noah mentioned that Patrick performed the liver transplant against his father's wishes and said now it's time for him to turn the tables. Please take the test, his father pleaded.

Jason met with Sonny at the coffeehouse and Sonny apologized for lying to his partner about the wedding. Jason said he's got to stay true to his word, too, and help Carly get a divorce. Sonny refused to turn over Carly's passport until he had one more chance to make things right.

Elizabeth returned home to Audrey's with her new maternity dress, where Emily was waiting to see if she was okay about attending the charity gala with Lucky. Liz snidely asked what does it matter, since everyone is pushing them back together anyway. After Liz kvetched, Em asked Liz if she really wanted to be with Jason. The girls laughed about old times, then Emily warned Liz that if she's holding out for Jason, she could get hurt. Emily made an offhand remark that things might be different if Jason was actually the father of Liz's baby. "Hmm," Liz thought.

Dillon showed up at Kelly's to tell Georgie that he's a film major again. She was thrilled. He wanted to go to the movies to celebrate but she made plans to work with Professor Pete. He assumed Pete was after Georgie for her body, not her mind. She was insulted and he apologized, but she didn't break her plans. Georgie doubted the future of their relationship but Dillon still wanted to make a go of it. Just then, Lulu walked in. Lulu and Spinelli took a table to discuss Rick Webber's murder and suspected that Rick was blackmailing Alan. Pete arrived and offered Georgie an out, but she said no, she'd made her plans with Pete first. Dillon sat with the Scooby gang and Lulu and Spinelli asked him to steal Alan's PDA. Dillon suggested they make the swipe at the charity gala that evening.

At Metro Court, Patrick told Robin the results of his HIV tests were inconclusive. She wanted him to get re-tested but he wanted to go to Jake's for a drink. She dragged him off to the hospital. In the lobby, Mr. Craig quizzed Lucky about hotel security then Maxie popped by and told Lucky that Liz still doesn't want him.

At the penthouse, Carly announced Sonny's lie about their wedding, prompting Sam to excuse herself and head back to work. Jason called Diane and left a message asking for information about the nups. After Carly explained the whole situation, Jason admitted that Sonny should not have lied. Carly was furious and wanted an immediate divorce. Carly called Bernie and demanded answers. Jason said he'd take care of it but Carly vowed that Sonny would pay for his treachery. Carly left in a huff, just as Jason got a call inquiring about a ship from Black Star Industries.

Nikolas and Lucky met on the bridge, where Lucky was keeping an eye on harbor traffic. He asked his big bro if he was being too pushy with Liz. Lucky opened up to Nikolas about his recent bout with temptation. Nik encouraged his brother to stay strong.

Back at Metro Court, Maxie saw Sam and noticed she was having a bad day, but there was nothing she could do to help. Mr. Craig went to Sam and asked to see the vault, citing security concerns. She replied that wasn't possible but she'd do her best to reassure his concerns. Then, Kelly arrived and Sam asked if she could get a second opinion. Kelly said yes, but it probably won't change the fact that she can't have kids.

At the hospital, Robin assured Patrick that he needs to be re-tested and she will stand by him no matter what. After Alan explained the inconclusive situation, Patrick told Alan not to bother scheduling a re-test. "I'm as informed as I want to be right now," he barked. Robin was frustrated by his cavalier attitude.

Scotty Baldwin checked in Metro court under an assumed name.... Elizabeth ran into Jason on the bridge and she kvetched some more. He then asked Liz if there was anything she wanted to talk about.

At Wyndemere, the Spencers rejoiced at the return of Nikolas, Emily and baby Spencer. Bobbie mentioned the charity gala at Metro Court that night. Nik tried to get out of it but Em said they'd be glad to show their support. Then, Elizabeth tried to get out of it by saying she had no stylish maternity clothes (which was obviously not a lie, as demonstrated by her shocking orange checkered coat). But, Em said she'd take care of it and set up a shopping date for Liz. When Liz got to Metro Court, she was irritated to learn that her boutique salesperson was Maxie. The women got into it over Lucky and the boutique manager interrupted the fracas. Maxie apologized and went to get Liz more samples. She brought Liz back a suitable dress and they made peace. Lucky called Liz to say that Cruz agreed to cover Lucky's shift the night. They'd be going to go to the gala together. Back at Wyndemere, Nikolas and Emily made love and afterward discussed the possibility of Lucky and Elizabeth reconciling.

At PCPD, a still drunk and agitated Robin got into a screaming match with Patrick over his trip to Las Vegas with Pete. He insisted on taking her home but she claimed she had no home. Mac tried to keep the peace but when Robin said she'd stay at her uncle's, Mac said she needed to be an adult and work things out with Patrick. Robin refused and left in a huff. She arrived at Metro Court and got herself a room. Meanwhile, Mac tried to explain to Patrick that while she won't admit it, Robin's troubled history with her parents and Stone have left her with fears of being left behind by the ones she loves. Patrick went to Robin's room and insisted she hear him out. Robin, however, tossed her drink in his face. Patrick barked that he wasn't going to abandon her. As she threw things at him, Patrick said the only thing that's keeping them apart is her and stormed out. Robin went after him just as he got the results of his HIV test from the hospital. "There was a problem," Patrick said.

At Sonny's house, Carly eavesdropped on his conversation with Diane and thought she heard him say that they didn't have to get married after all. Jason caught Carly and she demanded to know if that was true. Since Jason's still in the dark, as well, he said no, it wasn't true. In their private meeting that followed, Jason told Sonny that he shouldn't take advantage of Carly since she did help him out. Carly entered and asked for a moment with Sonny. Jason left and Sonny made his case for making a real go of their marriage. Carly said that option hinged on the truth and asked point blank if she needed to marry him to keep him out of jail. Sonny confessed the truth — she didn't. Stunned, Carly cited their history and how she has paid for her lies in the past. He apologized and admitted he was wrong in the past. He admitted he wants her and needs her and will do whatever it takes. Carly replied he's not listening to her. Carly vowed to go through with the divorce and asked him not to try and stop her.

At the hospital, Sam was devastated when she got the news that due to her gunshot wound from last year, she was left unable to have kids. Crestfallen, Sam went back to the penthouse, where she went off on Spinelli after he made a crack about her desire to have kids. Jason entered and demanded to know what Spinelli did. Spinelli apologized to Sam if he offended her and she apologized and accepted. He left, and Sam asked Jason how he'd feel about never having kids. He told her that he can't wait until she's carrying his child. Sam was about to continue just as Carly burst in, spilled the news about Sonny's lie and demanded he take her to the Dominican Republic for a divorce. Meanwhile, Sonny met with Diane and ordered her to do whatever it takes to keep the marriage legally alive.
