At the DiMera mansion, EJ asked Sami what she meant by "her baby." Stefano followed him in and asked Sami if she was keeping secrets again.

Outside the room, Tony and Nicole's standoff over the baby lie continued. Nicole got teary and asked Tony why he hated her so much. He asked why she was taking everything so personally. Tony wondered how she hid the pregnancy so well from EJ. "How my cold showers did that man have to take?" he queried. Nicole slapped him hard. Tony smiled and admitted he deserved it. He crossed to the door to the living room, noting that Sami was inside. He opened the door to the conversation Stefano and EJ were having with Sami. Sami announced that she had decided to adopt a baby. Noting that Sami had been in witness protection, a confused EJ asked, "How did you find a baby, let alone adopt one?" Sami told him it was none of his business but Nicole pointed out that they wouldn't stop questioning her until she explained. Sami launched into a story about meeting a woman who abandoned her baby and she promised to give the baby a home. EJ asked if her own children meant anything to her. She slapped him. "How dare you question how much I love my children," she cried. He calmly explained that he was concerned for Will, Allie and Johnny since Sami was now alone with four children. An emotional Sami told EJ to stay out of her life, noting that the only thing they had to talk about was their son, and stormed out. "Oh, my, how kids stir things up, don't they?" smirked Tony to Nicole.

Rafe tried in vain to find Sami and left her a message. Brady overheard him and asked Rafe if he knew Sami. Rafe asked who the hell Brady was. Brady introduced himself; Rafe apologized for jumping on him. Rafe told Brady that he had been Sami's protector while she was in witness protection. He then asked if Brady and Sami were close, nothing that Sami needed someone she could trust. Brady was alarmed that Sami was in trouble. They sat down and talked about the DiMeras. Rafe fished for some info on EJ. Brady asked why Rafe was in Salem and guessed that Rafe couldn't "quit" Sami. Brady added that any time Sami has been in trouble, there's been a guy determined to save her. "Oh, that's good to know I'm just one in a long line of suckers," Rafe replied. Sami hurried in and said that she needed Rafe's help. She rushed into his arms; he comforted her. She looked past him and saw Brady. She hugged her brother and they caught up on family news, that John was doing well. Brady took off so Sami and Rafe could talk. Sami told Rafe they had to get Grace ASAP. They argued over it. "Nice knowing you... Have an nice life," he told her and walked out.

Back at the DiMera manse, Tony continued to unsettle Nicole. Nicole told him to just tell EJ the truth and see which one he believes. "Believes about what?" EJ asked as he entered the room. Tony calmly covered and left the room. EJ went to take Sydney for a walk. Alone, Nicole broke down in tears then had a drink, toasting to all the people involved in the Sydney/Grace switcheroo. She called Nicole and implored him to meet her at the pier in an hour.... EJ told Stefano that he wanted to make some calls to find out how Sami was able to adopt a baby while in witness protection. Tony came upon them and asked what was going on. Stefano said he and EJ were talking Sydney out for a walk.

Daniel called Kate to tell her her latest test results were great and she dropped the bomb that Lucas and Chloe got married in Las Vegas. Daniel told her to wish the newlyweds well, then abruptly told her he had to go. She said he would have his chance to kiss the bride at the reception she was going to have for them. Maggie brought some papers for Daniel to sign. He told her that she was right about everything. Right about what? she asked. "Me," he sighed. He then asked her to forgive Chloe, noting that he and Chloe were history. He also revealed that Chloe and Lucas had wed.

Lucas and Chloe entered the Justice of the Peace in Las Vegas to retrieve their wedding video and found Kate there. She said she was there for the wedding and explained that Will told her about it. Kate noted that she had wanted to share their special day with them and wondered what she had done to exile herself from their lives. Chloe said it was her fault because Lucas was just trying to make her happy. Lucas pointed out that when people elope, they want privacy and they didn't owe Kate an explanation. Kate explained that she was worried about them getting hitched in such a hasty manner. She suggested they annul the marriage. An angry Lucas said she had crossed a line; Chloe tried to mediate. She said they could redo their vows in Salem, but that she wouldn't annul the union. Lucas's cell phone rang; it was Maggie. He verified that he and Chloe had eloped.

Chelsea and Theo ran into Max on the pier. She told Max that Theo was going to be in a play and had a big part. Max asked if he was excited; Theo got upset and said he didn't want to do it. Max talked to him got him comfortable enough to want to do the play. After, Chelsea and Max went to the Cheatin' Heart. He offered her a snack, but she said no. She told him she was impressed by how he handled Theo. They cutely agreed to be boyfriend and girlfriend.
