Stephanie was frustrated with Rick's stonewalling and threatened to tattle to Ridge. "I'm worry about the family and a scandal," Steph huffed. Brooke declared she'll call the wedding off herself if it meant putting up with constant interference into her children's lives. Nick called Bridget with the news about the boat accident and everyone rushed to the hospital.

In the emergency room, Nick was thankful that Taylor seemed to be okay. "You look terrible," she mumbled to him. Nick joked that they weren't going to have anymore sex in order to avoid future catastrophe. A worried Stephanie burst in to see Taylor. Steph observed the warm interaction between Nick and Taylor. After Nick left, La Forrester advised Taylor not to "throw your life away on a bum like that."

Ridge told Phoebe about the photo of her and Rick on the Internet. Phoebe insisted that the set up was innocent and Dad believed her. Upon finding out about Taylor's accident, they headed to the hospital, too.

Soon Taylor's room was crowded with family members and Nick kicked them all out so the patient could get some rest. They all exited and gathered just outside of her room. Nick admitted to Taylor, "I think I'm falling for you."

Rick was able to tell Phoebe that his mother never said anything about them to Ridge. "We have to be more careful," Rick cautioned. He later passed Phoebe a note, but Stephanie saw it. She accused Brooke of secretly supporting Rick and Phoebe's relationship. "You slept your way through my family and I'm not going to sit and watch your son do the same thing," Steph seethed.

Nick and Taylor basked in the afterglow of their love making. "I don't want to stop feeling this," she purred. "I feel like everything is going to be okay." They fell asleep, but Nick was awakened when the boat started violently rocking. He looked out the window, then yelled that another ship was bearing down on them. "We've got to get off the boat!' he exclaimed as the Shady Marlin was suddenly smashed into pieces. Nick swam through the debris, looking for Taylor. He found her floating and seemingly lifeless. Nick pulled her onto a piece of debris, where he started mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Luckily she coughed to life as Nick shouted for help.

Brooke attempted to tell Ridge about Rick and Phoebe's continuing romance. They were interrupted by the arrival of Stephanie who was escorting Jarrett, the fashion reporter. Before the interview could begin, Jarrett asked about Rick and Phoebe's budding romance, thanks to a photo circulating on the Internet of the youngsters singing to each other at Insomnia. Both Ridge and Brooke downplayed the relationship while Stephanie warned Jarrett that his exclusives with the Forresters could end if he resorts to tabloid tactics. After Jarrett left, Stephanie fretted about the bad publicity Rick and Phoebe could generate, but Ridge insisted everything was fine because Brooke nipped that potential scandal in the bud. Brooke was then reluctant to say anything about their children to Ridge.

Bridget came home to find Rick hurriedly packing. "I don't know how to tell you this, but Phoebe and I can't stay away from each other," he announced and was determined to avoid the coming storm with Ridge. Bridget agreed that their mother was never going to convince Ridge that Rick dating Phoebe was fine. Brooke arrived and revealed she didn't come clean with Ridge, but the press was already snooping around. Stephanie barged in and could tell that Rick was guilty of something. She asked point-blank if he was still seeing Phoebe ,but he remained silent. "This is a big mistake, Brooke," Stephanie fumed. "Especially when Ridge finds out."

"You told me you were going to break off things with Phoebe, but you haven't," observed Brooke upon finding her son and Phoebe in each other's arms. Rick argued that there’s nothing wrong with his relationship with Phoebe. "I don't really see the harm in you two exploring a relationship," Brooke admitted, however she stressed that Ridge needs to know. Brooke hoped that Ridge would eventually "come around," but the lovebirds had their misgivings.

Taylor convinced Nick to steer his boat out to sea for a moonlight cruise. While they were smooching, the electricity in the Shady Marlin went out. Nick wanted radio for help, but Taylor talked him into enjoying the quiet time together instead. "We should break down more often," Nick joked. As they cuddled, Taylor said that her once-empty life seemed like "a whole new start for me." She then asked Nick to make love to her.

Stephanie asked Ridge if Brooke is really the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. "It really annoys me that you're meddling in this again," Ridge fumed, adding that he’s "150 percent certain" that he is doing the right thing. Ridge and Mom were both grateful that Rick and Phoebe split. Brooke showed up and asked to talk to Ridge alone. After Stephanie left, Ridge raved about their wedding plans, but noticed Brooke was troubled. "It's Rick and Phoebe," she sighed. "And you're not going to like it."

In the guest house, Stephanie was upset to learn that her mother hadn't been looking for a new place to live. Ann admitted that she wanted to stay in the guest house and be close to the family. "There is no room for you in my home," Steph huffed and accused Mom of trying to take over the role of matriarch. Ann wondered just what Steph does around the house anyway. "I haven't seen you lift a finger," Ann pointed out. "Pam is more of wife to your husband than you are." Steph announced that Ann will have to return to Chicago if she doesn't find her own place, but Mrs. Douglas declared that Eric won't allow that to happen. She said that Eric needed to take a firmer stance with Stephanie — like her father did. Steph was not amused and stormed out.

Stephanie charged into the house and told Eric that she was sending Ann back to Chicago. "That's not going to happen," he bellowed and gave his approval for Ann to stay in the guest house. As Pamela eavesdropped, Stephanie became unglued and Eric blasted his wife for her controlling nature and coldness in bed. Stephanie decided to check on the boutique and left. When Pam returned to the guest house, Ann said that Eric is too good of a man to be stuck with someone as "damaged" as Stephanie. "He deserves someone more like you," Ann suggested to Pam.

At the new boutique, Bridget, Felicia and Phoebe were surprised by Ridge's plans for a splashy wedding on Rodeo Drive.... Ridge tried to reach out to Rick, but the younger Forrester shut him down.... Felicia admitted to Bridget that she and Dante weren't working out. "I can't believe Dante would let you go," Bridget declared to her brokenhearted sister.... While Rick was in the storeroom, Phoebe snuck in and they started kissing. Brooke walked in on their make-out session. "What are you doing?" she exclaimed.

Taylor was surprised to hear from Ridge that Phoebe and Rick kissed, but that their relationship was over. Taylor was doubtful that the romance was really through and offered to talk with their daughter. Ridge asked if his ex was really really serious about Nick. "Let's just say I understand what Brooke saw in Nick because I see it too," Taylor said coyly.

Brooke visited Nick at the Jackie M boutique to ask about their divorce. "It's been weeks since we signed our divorce papers," she said but he accused her of being more curious about his personal affairs. Brooke claimed she was too busy with her own life and Nick brought up Rick and Phoebe. Brooke insisted that they weren't seeing each other anymore because she asked her son to break up with Phoebe. Nick scoffed at the notion that the relationship ended that simply.

Eric showed Stephanie their new store space in Beverly Hills, but he was still full of doubt. Stephanie became annoyed by her husband's lack of confidence. "Stop second guessing yourself," she barked. Ridge and Brooke showed up as Eric worried about getting publicity for the opening of their store. Ridge suggested having the grand opening of Forrester Originals and his and Brooke's wedding on the same day. "You want to turn our wedding into a publicity stunt?" asked a stunned Brooke. Stephanie and Eric liked the idea but Brooke still wasn't so sure.

While thinking about her kiss with Rick, Phoebe was distracted during her photo shoot. "I need you to focus," whined the photographer but Phoebe was still not responsive. However, Rick suddenly walked in and her mood brightened enough to make the shutterbug happy with her subject. Once the session was done, Rick took Phoebe to a storage room where they started to make out. They vowed to go public with their feelings after Ridge and Brooke got married.
