Janet found Jack on the Snyder porch, staring at a photo of him and Brad as boys. She became concerned when she smelled alcohol on her husband's breath and he claimed that he only had "a couple of beers." He bristled at her concern and she apologized for suggesting that his drinking was getting out of hand. Liberty overheard a part of the conversation where Jack and Janet discussed how he was drinking the night he shot Brad. Janet tried to explain things to her daughter, but Liberty stormed out of the house. Jack advised Janet to chase after her daughter.

Because of the visits from ghost Brad, a paranoid Henry went to the hospital so Ali could check him out. In the middle of the exam, Brad showed up and Henry started to freak out in front of Ali. When she momentarily left the room, Brad began talking to Henry who tried to ignore him. Ali returned and shared that Katie hasn't been spending time with her baby. Concerned for Katie's welfare, Brad instructed Henry to find an old notebook from Brad's childhood and make sure Katie saw it.

Margo saw Craig and Rosanna holding hands and he confirmed they were now together.... Holden tried to bolster a distraught Jack, who didn't know what to say at his brother's funeral. Holden advised his cousin to speak from the heart but Jack was tortured by childhood memories of Brad.

Henry showed up at Katie's house and she wouldn't let him in. He pushed through the door and shared his concern that she wasn't seeing her baby. She demanded that he leave and he found the notebook Brad was talking about. He left it on the coffee table and left. Katie was then surprised to find the notebook. Later, Maddie visited Henry at his hotel room and insisted that he go to Brad's funeral. He reluctantly complied.

Katie went to the hospital and rocked her son. She broke down in tears and admitted she wasn't strong enough to say good-bye to Brad. Katie went to the church and everyone was concerned when Jack was a no-show. After the service began, Craig talked about Brad's generosity, Janet spoke of his devotion as a father and Liberty affirmed her love for her dad. Katie got up and just as Jack arrived unseen, she revealed that she found a notebook belonging to Brad. She read Brad's essay about Jack being his hero, which brought Jack to tears. After she was done reading, Katie announced that she was naming her son Jacob Bradley Snyder, after Jack and Brad. Jack was overcome with grief and left the church without anyone knowing he had been there.

After the service concluded, Katie went into another room to bawl and could suddenly feel Brad's presence.... Craig professed his love to Rosanna and she did the same.... Liberty groused at Janet for Jack not showing up at his own brother's funeral.... In the church parking lot, Jack was shocked when Carly showed up.
