In the aftermath of Jack shooting into the dark warehouse, the crying baby led Henry to the unconscious Katie. Jack found Brad lying on the floor, bleeding from a bullet would to the chest. "Where is Katie?" Brad croaked. "Make sure she's okay." He told his brother that Manzo kidnapped Katie, and to tell her he's okay. "I feel so funky," Brad complained, then passed out. At the police station, Audrey told Margo that she has no clue where Ralph is. Meanwhile, a wounded Ralph stumbled into Metro, where he asked Teri for help on the down-low. She left to fetch bandages and antiseptic. Margo arrived at the warehouse with medics, and questioned Jack. He told her about the shoot-out, so she asked for his weapon. "I shot my brother," Jack sighed. At the hospital later, Margo and Henry got word the baby was okay, but Katie lost a lot of blood. Henry was distraught. Then Brad was wheeled past them into surgery.

Dusty was with Alison at Al's when she got paged to return to the hospital. Audrey begged Maddie to bring Casey to the police station. Audrey asked her daughter to plead her case to Casey, who would then talk to his mother. Maddie rolled her eyes. When Ali got to the hospital with Dusty, she checked on Katie and the baby, while Henry recapped the warehouse incident to Dusty. Dusty spotted Teri and quizzed her about Uncle Ralphie. She pleaded ignorance and left. Dusty followed, and said Henry told him Ralph was involved in the shooting, but she ran off. Margo went back to the station, where she told Casey about his Aunt Katie. Casey asked Maddie to go to the hospital with him. Margo offered Audrey leniency in return for Ralph's location. Audrey offered to turn him over in exchange for dropping all charges. When Margo agreed, Audrey said she can find him and set him up. Henry visited Katie's room, and told her the baby and Brad are fine. Janet arrived at the hospital just as the surgeon came to report to Jack that only time will tell if Brad will make it. "Who shot him?" a shocked Janet demanded. "I did," Jack confessed, recounting the incident. She was incredulous that Ralph was involved. Jack worried that he had killed his brother, but Janet insisted, "God doesn't work that way." When she mentioned that he'd been drinking, Jack shouted, "I was fine!" He told her to pray.

Janet went to church and prayed to the Virgin Mary to watch over Brad and Jack, and the soul of Liberty's little baby. Jack visited the unconscious Brad and scolded him for going to the warehouse. "You gotta make it out okay," he pleaded. Alison wheeled the baby into Katie's room. Katie asked for Brad. Maddie arrived, and took Henry aside, where he lamented his culpability. Janet returned to Brad's room just as Jack was summoned to the station by Margo. A woozy Katie decided to go looking for Brad, and was confused to see Jack and Janet emerge from the room across the hall. Henry stopped her from leaving the room, and allayed her concerns about Brad. Ali told Casey Brad is "touch-and-go. " Maddie, upset over Henry, hugged Casey, which upset Ali. Teri returned to Metro to tell Ralph, "I know about the warehouse." She urged him to surrender, and when he refused, she dialed the police herself. So he pulled a gun on her.

At the station, Jack recounted firing two shots. Margo claimed one shot Brad, and CSU found fragments of the others. She declared it a righteous shoot. Privately, Janet pointed out that Jack didn't confess he had been drinking. Jack said he's not going to. Audrey went to the hospital to ask Henry for her half of the inheritance so she can disappear. When Henry left, Katie wandered across the hall, and was shocked to see Brad unconscious.
