B&B’s Rome Flynn (Zende) needed no time to prepare for working more with Gianna and Isabella Garcia, the twins who play Nicole’s biological daughter, Lizzy, since he is the proud papa of daughter Kimiko, now 2 ½ years old. “Yes, I definitely came into this ready,” Flynn smiles. “I’m enjoying this storyline for so many reasons. As a parent myself, working with the twins has been great. They’re cute and we hang out on set, so it’s very easy to work with them. And being a real-life dad, I’ve got the baby talk down and I know just how to hold them in scenes. The storyline coming up is going to pull on a lot of heartstrings. Zende wants to be there for Nicole, especially now that he can give back to her after she has forgiven him for all his mishaps. They desperately want a child and despite how things may seem, he still believes in miracles, and based on merit, Nicole deserves one more than anyone else. I can’t see my own life without my Kimiko in it, and I wish Zende and Nicole that same joy.”

When DAYS’s Christopher Sean (Paul) picked up his script and read that he would be among the castaways stranded on an island, he immediately saw the potential for excitement and adventure. “I thought, ‘Wow, awesome! Everyone will work together, like on GILLIGAN’S ISLAND, and have a good time,’ ” he chuckles. What he didn’t anticipate was the big plot twist affecting his character, courtesy of a pesky mosquito. “I found out about the Jungle Madness and that Paul would be getting it,” he recounts. “On set, it became an ongoing joke. ‘Chris has got the fever!’ But for me, it was one of those things I knew in my head that if I didn’t perform on the highest level, that it would be a joke, so I made sure that I brought the best that I could to this particular performance.” His efforts paid off. “Everyone was watching in the makeup room and they said it was really good,” Sean shares. “So that was definitely a plus in my playbook.”
Because she’s working closely with Joshua Morrow (Nick), Y&R’s Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) has found herself in his dressing room more often. “It’s so funny, I always noticed a bunch of games in there, but never thought much of it. Josh is like a kid at heart,” she explains. “Then recently, we had a bunch of downtime and we were playing this basketball game where you click a mini-ball into a net. It was, like, meant for a 10-year-old but Josh likes sports so I just thought, ‘Yep, that’s Josh!’ Then I recently mentioned something to him and he’s like, ‘No, these are for my kids when they come to work with me.’ I was like, ‘Ohhhhh!’ All this time, I just thought he had all these games for himself [laughs]!”
You won’t hear Vinessa Antoine (Jordan) complaining about the long hours she spent on set taping the GH Nurses’ Ball. “I really like shooting the Nurses’ Ball because it’s one of the only chances we get to spend time with people we don’t usually have scenes with,” she notes. “When else would we get the chance to sit and talk and catch up for hours upon hours? I was sitting at the same table as Michelle Stafford [Nina], so she and I just went to town and gabbed our faces off. I even had time to catch up on a few Hulu and Netflix shows. I never perform, so I can just chill and watch everybody else do their thing.” Finola Hughes also took advantage of Anna’s status as a nonperforming guest. “I loved spending time with Roger [Howarth, Franco] and Becky [Herbst, Elizabeth] because I was at their table. That was really good. We talked a lot about comedy, our favorite comedy skits, nearly the whole time. Roger and I are both Louis C.K. fans, and he played me a clip from his show, LOUIE, that is brilliant. I love working with those guys and I don’t get to do it much.”
