Judi Evans (Adrienne) was awestruck when she learned Morgan Fairchild (Anjelica) was joining the cast of DAYS, and that she would be working with her. “I did a little fan-girling,” confesses Evans. “Morgan is an icon. But she is also the epitome of cool, and so down-to-earth.” One of Evans’s first scenes with Fairchild was a knockdown, drag-out fight. “Our stunt coordinator, Terry James, choreographed it,” shares Evans. “It was modified a little bit, because both Morgan and I are a little bit frail [laughs] and we didn’t want to get too intricate and physical. But Morgan was game for doing the fight. She studied martial arts for years. It’s been so fun working with her. She’s a total professional.”
Tobias Truvillion (ex-Vincent, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) has a full plate these days, and checked in with Digest to give the scoop about his new movie, Cigarette Soup. “I play Monti, a young Marine,” he shares. “The film is about a young journalist who winds up getting embedded with a band of American soldiers in Afghanistan and while out on their first mission together, they get attacked by insurgents and are trapped inside a bunker. During that time, surrounded on all sides, we get a chance to find out who these men are underneath the helmet. It’s a really intense story about courage.” As prime-time soap fans know, Truvillion just came off a successful run on EMPIRE as Jamal’s love interest, record producer D-Major, and he reports the experience was life-changing. “I’ve been a working actor almost 20 years, and now people who may have known my face know my name,” he smiles. “I have people calling me by my first name
walking down the street. It’s been a wonderful thing.” To find out where you can catch Truvillion in Cigarette Soup, check out the film’s website at www.cigarettesoup.com.
McKenna Grace, who has subbed as Y&R’s Faith whenever Alyvia Alyn Lind is unavailable, has been seen a lot recently on TV (ONCE UPON A TIME, DESIGNATED SURVIVOR) and film How to Be a Latin Lover, Gifted), and no one could be happier about her success than her contemporary. “Oh, my gosh, I love McKenna so much!” enthuses Lind. “We’re like best friends, and she’s doing really great with her career. She’s so sweet and we’re always talking about a million things.” Thanks to the entertainment business, the girls get together more often than people would know. “We’re about the same age, so we’re up for the same roles and I always see her at auditions,” Lind explains. “Sometimes an audition will take a while, so we’ll be able to sit and talk for hours while waiting to go in. We’ll laugh and even do each other’s hair. We have so much fun together.”
Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH) enjoyed getting the band back together when Port Chuck, the group comprised of himself and GH alumni Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny), Steve Burton (ex-Jason) and Scott Reeves (ex-Steve), set out on a mini-tour in May. “It was so great!” he enthuses. “I don’t get to see those guys very often. I see Brandon a little bit more because I come to L.A. pretty regularly, but I don’t see Scott and Steve much at all. It was wonderful to have a week of quality time with good friends. We ended up in Nashville, and getting to spend time with Scott’s family and Steve’s family ... gosh, we just miss each other!” He, Barash and Burton now share an extra bond, as they are all dads to 3-year-old daughters. “Harper [Barash’s daughter with Kirsten Storms, Maxie], my daughter, Finola, and Steve’s daughter, Brooklyn, have never been in the same room together. Finola loves Harper and talks about her all the time, but she’s never met Brooklyn. Juna, my 5-year-old, would just have a blast with three little girls that age. So, we’re hoping that the next time we’re in Nashville, we can all bring our families. Makena and Jack [Burton’s older children] are such great kids, and I think they would have a lot of fun with all the little ones running around. If we could get [Reeves’s adult offspring] Larry and Emily to come, too, that would be quite the picture!”
