1993: Sheila’s Nightmare
After committing a litany of crimes, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) strolled down the Forrester runaway in a wedding gown designed by fiancé Eric — until rival Lauren jumped onstage and exposed her. The showdown turned out to be a dream, but it shocked viewers as much as it did Sheila.
1994: Taylor Held Prisoner
When Hunter Tylo (ex-Taylor) took a break to do the TV miniseries THE MAHARAJA’S DAUGHTER, Taylor was presumed dead. The show hired her co-star in the project, Kabir Bedi, to play Prince Omar, who kept an amnesiac Taylor as his prisoner.
1996: Brooke’s Mental Breakdown
Having lost Ridge, and then kids Rick and Bridget when a vengeful Stephanie sued for custody, a devastated Brooke disappeared. Ridge found her teary and broken on the beach (shot on location in Barbados) clutching two dolls and calling them her babies, marking a game-changer for the
characters.
2001: HIV-Positive Tony Weds Kristen
B&B tackled a serious, topical issue when Spectra’s top designer, Tony (Paulo Benedeti), was diagnosed as HIV-positive. Forrester daughter Kristen (Tracy Melchior) insisted they wed, despite Eric’s objections.
2006: Taylor Runs Down Darla
Lives were irrevocably altered when a drunken Taylor accidentally hit Darla (Schae Harrison, r.) with her car along a dark road while rushing to aid stranded daughter Phoebe (Mackenzie Mauzy).
2012: Stephanie Dies
After 25 years as Forrester matriarch Stephanie, Susan Flannery quit and her alter ego succumbed to lung cancer. La Forrester died in the arms of former rival-turned-best pal Brooke, who sang Stephanie’s favorite song, “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling”, as she closed her eyes for the last time.
2015: My, Oh, Myron
B&B made mainstream headlines when newcomer Nicole (Reign Edwards, l.) revealed that Rick’s lover, Maya (Karla Mosley), was transgender. “You’re not my sister, Maya. You’re not ‘Maya’ at all. You’re Myron. You’re my brother!” Nicole declared.
2016: Quinn & Liam’s Cabin Fever
Quinn (Rena Sofer) held an amnesiac Liam (Scott Clifton) captive in a cabin so her son, Wyatt, could woo Steffy. Color us shocked when the two forged an unlikely romance before Liam’s memory came flooding back.
