“I have been shot about five or six times on the show and I remember one time down in the makeup room, they had put a bullet wound right over my heart and I was like, ‘I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but if Max was shot in the heart, he’d be dead.’ They were like, ‘Oh, yeah. Well, we’ll just move it here.’ So, they just moved it up to the shoulder. That was a moment where we could truly suspend reality since he has been shot so many times.”
“A couple of times I’ve been stopped going through an airport and people have said to me, ‘Oh, my God! Dr. Maddox. I love you — but why would you let [Curtis] take your girlfriend [Jordan] from you like that?’ And I have to say, ‘You know I don’t write the show, right [laughs]?’ I don’t mind it, though. It’s nice to know they’re invested in the show!”

“When I found out about the storyline with Caroline and Ridge: Thomas’s old girlfriend became his dad’s new girlfriend and then Thomas slept with her right before the two of them got married and then he was having a baby with her after they got married but didn’t know and they tried to pass it off as their own but then they broke up.”
“I did get recognized on the train heading in to work. That was really fun. This kid was literally sitting on the train watching DAYS and I was standing there studying my lines. He walked up to me, held his phone up, and it was me on the screen.”
“I remember being told to take a beat before my very first scene so they could insert a voice-over to say, ‘The role of Abby Newman is now being played by....’ ”

“Mine was pretty unique. That first year of Justin and Adrienne on DAYS was pretty magical. Going to Greece for their wedding and working with John Aniston [Victor] were definitely my ‘Pinch me, I’m on a soap’ moments.”

“Well, I had my first kissing scene the first week I was here. I remember thinking, ‘Hmmm, that escalated quickly.’ I was like, ‘Well, I’m kissing today. I’ll be married next week and have a 5-year-old child by the end of the month [laughs].’ ”
