Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R)
“Well, Kristen [on DAYS], of course. She’s so complicated and fun to play. Vicious, but vulnerable. Independent, but so needy. Vile, but oh so sweet! What’s not to love?”
Maura West (Ava, GH)
“Carly Tenney from AS THE WORLD TURNS, of course, not only because of the incredible character that she was, but I spent 15 years playing her! I had all my kids when I was on that show, I made best friends for life on that show, I met my husband on that show. I will always be grateful to Carly Tenney and that show.”
Emme Rylan (Lulu, GH)
“Lizzie on GUIDING LIGHT. Lizzie was like an Abby [her role on Y&R] and Lulu and I really like that duality, that she could do bad things to Tammy and to Jonathan and be really selfish, but you could also feel for her, like, ‘That’s inexcusable, what you did, but somehow, I understand why you’re so broken.’ That’s my favorite thing to play: doing something really bad, but with heart [laughs]!”
Gina Tognoni (Phyllis, Y&R)
“I really enjoyed playing Dinah Marler on GUIDING LIGHT. There was a lightness to Dinah and there was a depth that was so vulnerable. I’m always on the lookout to bring both of those qualities to Phyllis.”
Judi Evans (Adrienne/Bonnie, DAYS)
“It’s a real toss-up between Beth [GUIDING LIGHT, pictured] and Paulina [ANOTHER WORLD]. They were both good at heart and had tragedies in their lives. I loved Beth for her quiet strength, and I loved Paulina for her spunk and street smarts.

“Sierra, from AS THE WORLD TURNS. She
was such a
strong woman,
but also kind.
I liked playing
this educated, cool, independent woman.”
Heather Tom (Katie, B&B)
“While I certainly enjoyed my time playing Kelly on ONE LIFE TO LIVE and the whole New York experience, I would have to say playing Victoria on YOUNG AND RESTLESS. It was my first big job. I really became a part of a family during my years there and, of course, the highlight was working for and getting to know Bill Bell [creator]. I was just a kid when I started that job, and getting to watch him in action was just incredible.”
