If you're here reading my blog, it's probably safe to say that you are an Internet junkie. If your net junkie-ness, for lack of a better word, is soap specific, by now I hope you've had the chance to become pretty familiar with soapoperaweekly.com. We have breaking news, exclusive interviews, fun quizzes and timelines, and even cool soap videos. And of course, we have forums and message boards so you can tell us what you think about Soap Opera Weekly and all of your favorite shows. Since I've been working for Weekly, I've really gotten into checking out the web sites of the soaps. If you read my blog, you know I'm a fan of Y&R. I've been watching it since I was a little girl. With my love for Y&R and recent fascination with soap sites, you'd think I would have been all over the Restless Style site, but I'm actually just getting into it.

When the beautiful Jessica White appeared on the show and I saw her Restless Style cover, I wanted to see more of the magazine. That's what made me check out the site, and I'm glad I did! Although the idea of Restless Style often comes off a little ridiculous on the show, the web site is pretty cool. It's flashy and fun to look at. They have fashion tips, videos and interviews from Restless Style cover shoots. My favorite part is the YOUR STYLE feature. You can upload a photo of yourself (pick something cute!) and your photo will appear in a slideshow with other fans' style photos and a few from Y&R cast members. Some of the pics are cool, and some are pretty hilarious. Rock out to Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl as the photos flash across the screen and wait for your shot to pop up. I uploaded the photo that you see here above. It was taken during a night out in Brooklyn with my friends. Go see if you can spot me in the YOUR STYLE photo slide. Upload your on photo if you'd like when you check out the site at www.restlessstyle.com, then go to Weekly's Y&R message board and tell us what you think of the site.

I wasn't planning to rant again this week, but Y&R has me pretty perturbed. I have to start with the most offensive: Cane giving Chloe the same ring he gave Lily. I can't believe he would do that. He doesn't even want to marry Chloe, so I can't imagine why he'd give her a a beautiful, family heirloom! My sorority sister and fellow Y&R lover, Raven, hit the nail on the head when she joked, "I would have given her a bubble gum machine ring." It seems there are other fans out there who don't like the fact that the writers chose this route. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Chloe's scheme is exposed and hope there will be a day Cane can proudly snatch that rock off of her finger.

Another issue I have with Y&R this week is Colleen and Daniel hooking up. Colleen is such a hypocrite in my book. She's accusing Amber of being a slut for sleeping with Adrian (I'm not sure why she cares since she and the professor broke up months ago), and then she turns around and sleeps with her best friend's ex-husband. I'm not sure why this hasn't been addressed. If I were Lily, I'd let Colleen have a piece of my mind, but Lily probably won't care and she has too much class to rail Colleen, even though she deserves it.

The one thing I can give Y&R kudos for is juicing up the younger set. Things haven't been this exciting since since Billy, Mac, Raul, Brittney and J.T. (where are Billy and Mac, by the way? I'd love to see them return!) were hanging out at the Jabot house. I'm annoyed for now, but I have to admit, it's still good soap!

Hey there, soap fans! While I was pleasantly surprised with GUIDING LIGHT last week, this week I have to rant about my annoyance with BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL. I have HAD IT with Bridget. No offense to Bridget fans out there, but I think she's nutty. Why does she insist on shoving her life with Nick down Katie's throat? She knows Katie loves Nick, so why would Katie want to officiate their wedding, and most recently, be Jack's godmother? This weird, "open love in a friendship way" triangle Bridget is pushing with she, Nick and Katie is overkill. I'm not saying Bridget should let Katie have Nick or hide her happiness; I just think she can be happy without making Katie feel miserable. I'm glad Katie turned down the godmother proposition. It was nice enough for her to marry her niece to the man she's in love with. I don't think Bridget is a bad person, but she is either adorably clueless or just vindictive. I know some fans think it's terrible that Katie is pregnant with Nick's baby, because it will ruin poor Bridget's happiness. I agree that Bridget deserves to be happy, but I just hate to see her ruining someone else's happiness in the process — especially since it's under the guise of being noble and understanding. Ick. Yes, I’m on Team Katie...so sue me! My Weekly colleague Mala Bhattacharjee and I disagree about this all the time (she's on Team Bridget). So if you think I'm wrong, let me know. You won't be the first! Likewise, if you totally understand what I mean, let me know that, too! I'm curious to know how other viewers are, um, viewing these bold and not-so-beautiful events.

I never thought I'd say this, but I was so pleased with Cassie on GL today. Nicole Forester (Cassie) is a sweetheart, but I haven't been a big fan of Cassie's (I think I'm still annoyed from her antics when evil Will came to Springfield). Today I feel differently. Cassie gave a wonderful and moving testimony in the courtroom today during Grady's trial. As irrational as Cassie can be at times, today she was strong, levelheaded and just. She admitted that there was a time when she would have set Grady up to take the fall for Tammy's murder even if he wasn't guilty. Understandable, since her grief over losing Tammy had been an ongoing battle. But with grace and conviction, Cassie told the courtroom she's changed, and was doing her best to move on from her pain and resentment, as her beautiful daughter would have wanted her to. Forester did an excellent job, and her scenes were a treat to watch. I know what happens with Grady in the end, but as Cassie mentioned while she was on the stand, it doesn't matter if he's guilty or innocent. All that mattered to Cassie was that she knew the truth in her heart, and all that matters to me is that GL wrote a great episode, and the actors delivered. Bravo GL!

…now all they need to do is put Cassie in a hot new romance. I'm rooting for Cyrus. I'll call them Cassius!

This week I had one of the most exciting interviews I've ever done. Not necessarily because the topic was so juicy, but more so because I had the opportunity to speak with one of my favorite (if not favorite) daytime actor! Surprisingly, this actor isn't a GL cast member (GL is the show I cover). This actor is from Y&R, he's amazingly talented, wonderful to watch, and he's the best lawyer in all of Genoa City with one of the worst reputations (well, worst former reputations). By now you know I'm speaking of none other than Christian LeBlanc who plays Y&R's Michael. With my fellow Editor Janet on vacation (she's the superwoman who covers DAYS and Y&R), I was given the task of covering Y&R for the week. I was so excited when I learned I'd be interviewing LeBlanc because I'm such a fan. I casually mentioned it to one of my best friend Tenielle (she's a big fan of LeBlanc's work as well), she had a great question that I thought was worth asking. She wondered, as I'm sure many other fans have, how he's coped with taking Michael from a cold-hearted sex predator a caring, nurturing father, husband, brother and son who goes to any length to save his family. I asked LeBlanc about his character's transformation over the years, and here's what he had to say: "Mine is the best written character on the show, as far as my humble opinion. They still understand who the old Michael is. You know what I mean? You know where he came from. That guy doesn’t disappear completely, and he still has repercussions from his past. Nobody wants to be sweet all the time. It’s not really human right? We all have that duality where we kind of conquer our conflicts. I've gotten to carry this character who could play either card at any time. It's really a gift." If any Michael fans out there are wondering what LeBlanc is like, he's humble, warm and very chatty. I really enjoyed interviewing him via telephone, and hopefully I can meet him in person one day.

It's Friday again! Isn't that your favorite day of the week? It's mine. One thing I look forward to on Fridays is the inevitable soap opera cliffhangers. I didn't get much of a cliffhanger form GL this morning (though I absolutely ADORED the flashback scenes of Josh and Reva's wedding. Reva looked so beautiful!), so now my faith is resting on my other three favorite soaps — Y&R, B&B and DAYS. All three of these soaps have picked up over the last few weeks, and I'm excited to see how things pan out. Paul is slowly getting to the bottom of David's shady past on Y&R. Nikki still has faith in David, so I'm afraid it's going to take something huge for her to see the light. Meanwhile, I'm on edge to see what happens when Adrian finds about that Jack practically rewrote his article on Sabrina. I'm hoping he comes back soon so he can let Jack have it. On B&B, all my attention is on Owen and Felicia. I love Lesli Kay (Felicia), but Felicia is such a snake! I feel bad for poor Donna. She really loves Eric, but everyone is hell-bent on bringing her down. Now Ridge is lying to his dear old dad to take control of the company just so he can stick it to his stepmother. The Forester kids need to get real lives! Lastly there's DAYS, and there is plenty of cliffhanger material in Salem. There's Kate and Daniel's secret, EJ threatening to leave Sami for good, and Morgan's drama with her dad and Philip. I'm most excited to see how Chelsea will react when she finds out about Kate and Daniel. It may not happen anytime soon, but if it does, I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for the fallout. Happy weekend!

Thanks for asking the question! I have been watching Y&R since I was four years of age. It is amazing to see how the characters have transformed/evolved over the years, notably, Christian LeBlanc's character. I clearly recall the bathtub scene when he was scheming with Eva Longoria's character (Isabella Braña) to drown Christine. (LauraLee Bell) I patiently await as we watch his reunion with his father unfold.
