With the political gloom and doom of Ji Min's murder investigation and the never-ending plight of Coma Victoria and her baby, I'm glad to see that THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS is injecting some humor into the show. I just don't know if they intended for Cane and Lily's mutual crush on each other to be so darned funny! Between Cane spouting off all these platitudes about how beautiful Lily is, offering to burn her a CD of his favorite Australian music, and wimpily refraining from telling Heather "I'm just not that into you," he's coming off like a 16-year-old who just discovered girls instead of a 30-something businessman. Then you've got Heather, sighing about Lily is just SO young at 19...which would be believable if actress Vail Bloom didn’t look younger than Christel Khalil. Are we entirely sure Lily's the one too young for this triangle? Her levelheaded approach to this whole thing, confiding her worries in galpal Colleen and accepting Cane's compliments with adorably wary grace, makes her the most mature of the lot! Here's to hoping that Cane and Lily actually chuck this whole May-September angst thing and get together by Christmas.
