Billy Miller (Richie, AMC)
— ABC

From Joe Diliberto
Richie's faked suicide attempt continues to drive story on ALL MY CHILDREN. Annie pointed out how her loony brother hanged himself to make Ryan and Aidan look guilty of attempted murder. And Lieutenant Perry bought the set-up when he burst in. The newbie cop snarled that Richie obviously didn't put the noose around his own neck. But that ignores the fact that people hang themselves every day. No matter if his hands were tied — that's the point of staging: to make it look authentic. One might almost consider the cop's line insensitive to families victimized by such tragedies — it does happen. And a detective in a soap town should know that, even better than real cops.
