Is it me or does AMC's Richie bare an eerie resemblance to Spencer Pratt, controlling boyfriend extraordinaire on MTV's THE HILLS? Both share a love of blondes (Babe and Heidi, respectively), sport a beard that is three shades lighter than their actual hair and play the earnest psycho with a smile. Only difference is, Pratt is playing himself.

I don't even really care about the inherent silliness of the egg donor storyline, but can we please have at least one Barbara/Will scene a week? Thursday's chat about the worthiness of Alison's eggs was poignant, sweet and funny. Colleen Zenk Pinter and Jesse Soffer always manage to set the perfect tone for their dysfunctional mother-son dynamic that not only reflects the changing nature of their relationship — her little boy is all grown up, which is tough for a mom who likes to control everything — as well as a complicated history that involves joint stints in the psych ward. I love how their scenes are basically just constant struggles to be patient with one another (showing his new maturity and her need to not screw things up with her son again), because they really do love each other, no matter what has happened between them. Now if only Paul could stop by to see them a little more often, I'd be thrilled.
