Debbi Morgan and Darnell Willliams
Debbi Morgan (Angie) and Darnell Williams (Jesse)

From Joe Diliberto
Who says married life has to be dull? Anyone who watched ALL MY CHILDREN and AS THE WORLD TURNS today got taste of something that at least approaches marital bliss. And I, for one, am glad to see it. I'm sick of the "rule" that happiness equals boredom. All AMC's Angie and Jesse wanted to do was consummate their "real" marriage, but their honeymoon was anything but smooth. First, Jesse developed a spontaneous case of chocolate on his head. (What was that about?) After a quick shower, things started heating up again — too much so! One of those oh-so-romantic candles that all soap couples buy in bulk set the curtains aflame! And while putting it out, Jesse exposed a nearby party to the Jesse "full Monty." Still, Jesse didn't let that chill his game, and in no time, as Angie put it, "the calla lilies are in bloom again." But then an alarm clock blared (it could happen!). Bad for the Hubbards; hilarious for viewers. Time seems to have been kinder to ATWT's Margo and Tom, who have been together as marrieds for considerably longer than Jesse and Angie. Mr. Hughes teased his wife about whether she wanted to start the day "upstairs or downstairs." Later, Tom demonstrated how in-tune he and Margo are when he anticipated her using the phone. "I have a husband who can see through walls," she marveled, before noting he also has "the hearing of an Irish setter!" Tom piped up, "I heard that!" We all heard it — and enjoyed what we saw.
