From Jennifer Lenhart
Okay, this isn't exactly a new observation, but I've been paying much closer attention to GL lately because of Bill and have therefore gotten caught up on all the Jonathan/Lizzie/Sarah stuff, and it never ceases to amaze me how the P&G shows (who we all know to be completely obsessed with babies anyway) insist on making everyone in the entire town so terrified of two "bad" guys (Alan, Craig), that they’re willing to break the law, kill people and do all sorts of other insane things to protect babies to whom the guys have no established legal custodial right. It makes me imagine an elaborate, luxurious nursery in some tropical, non-extradition country, full of Spaulding and Montgomery babies who have been snatched and collected over the years. It would look like the end of The Witches Of Eastwick, with the gurgling infants being slowly programmed via giant TV screens that soothingly spout instructions for world domination and propagating their illustrious bloodlines.
On a totally separate note, how awesome have the Paul/Emily scenes been on ATWT? While their twisted past wouldn’t, in any rational world, be fodder for such witty repartée, I find it wildly amusing every time Paul mentions how Emily shot him and rolled him off a cliff (I mean, why shouldn’t he laugh? I certainly did) and she implies that she’d like to do the job right this time (wink-wink). I think they sparkle together in scenes — and adding Lucinda to the mix is just icing. Improv Queen Elizabeth Hubbard classes up any scene, but especially when you have no writers.
