When Bill camped outside Lizzie's window at Beth's house, I finally realized what has been bothering me about GUIDING LIGHT's new locations (all right, one of the things). And it wasn't the pathetic steal from the classic film Say Anything. It's been the lack of tall buildings.

I realize that Y&R has had a bunch of different writing teams over the past year, but they have some perplexing continuity issues over there. If Restless Style is having money problems, how was Nick able to empty out the office, turn out all the lights, decorate a big space like a New Mexico restaurant (complete with cactus) and get Trace Adkins to fly to Wisconsin to perform for Phyllis on their wedding anniversary?

I'm just one voice in a noisy chorus at this point, but seeing Snoop Dogg on OLTL was quite a treat. I have a lifelong beef about singing on soaps because it's frequently just awkward and brings the action to a screeching halt.

Watching ALL MY CHILDREN today, I suddenly realized how much we had been missing all these years with Opal so rarely gracing our screens. Whether she is with Richie or Adam, I am thoroughly enjoying her scenes.

Back in the day, I was a pro at staying home from school "sick" or cutting 6th or 7th period due to a sudden plague just to get home in time to watch my soaps. The last months of Stone's life on GENERAL HOSPITAL were probably the sole cause of my giant case of senioritis in 1995!

Count me among the legions of admirers of Beverlee McKinsey who were terribly saddened by the news of her recent passing. To this day, I remain in awe of the performances she gave as Alexandra Spaulding on GUIDING LIGHT
(which is not even the role for which she will be best be remembered; that
honor goes to her legendary work as Iris on ANOTHER WORLD).

Though I was against the idea of GL's Mallet and Marina getting together,
after watching this week's episodes, I think they may have a little rooting
power. Not that any match could compare to the supercouple that was Dinah and Mallet, but GL is so starved for love, I'm just happy to see a possible connection blooming between two actors who have good chemistry.

GHOST WHISPERER: Sadly, GENERAL HOSPITAL's Ignacio Serricchio (Diego, who's really ex this time!) had little more than a cameo in this episode in which Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) got a few answers about her father, Tom (played by indie film mainstay Martin Donovan).
