Aww! Today's episode of GL was so adorable. After loads of hype and diligent planning, Bill and Lizzie were all set and ready to get hitched ... And then no one showed up to the chapel thanks to a misprint on the invite!

Once Lily confirmed Holden's death in the Snyder kitchen on ATWT today, I thought it was funny that she comforted Faith and Damian held a sobbing Meg, while Emma (you know, the lady who brought Holden into this world) bawled by herself.

I am absolutely loving Jon Lindstrom as ATWT's Craig. He brings dry humor and vulnerability to the role, despite the fact that Craig is a villain, Lindstrom plays him as if he's simply misunderstood.

It's been a while since I blogged; my apologies. Where
to start? Between the Mets, MAD MEN, and MSNBC for political stuff, there's been a lot of nighttime TV viewing lately. Still crazy about OLTL, too. It appears the 1968 stuff has wrapped up.

The DAYS OF OUR LIVES wardrobe department really deserves kudos for their adept job at camouflaging actress Arianne Zucker's (Nicole) burgeoning belly. The actress is 7 1/2 months pregnant, but you'd never know it. You can barely tell on screen.

I don't want to sound like a fashion snob, but while watching Phyllis on Y&R today, I couldn't help but think how behind the times she is. Especially for
someone who is running a fashion magazine!

I've been meaning to blog about this for some time but wanted to wait until
it played out on-screen, which has only further reinforced my feeling that
Alexis's affair with the mayor on GENERAL HOSPITAL is a bunch of poppycock.

There was an interesting article in yesterday's New York Times, explaining how the U.S. Census Bureau is using a storyline in a Spanish-language soap opera to help wary Hispanics get comfortable with the census process.

GLEE is preempted for baseball tonight, and that totally bums me out, because it's my mid-week pick-me-up. Think about it: It's funny and daring, there's singing and the cast is diverse. It's SO a "Mala show." I mean, all it needs is a baby in a hat! And, well, if the Quinn/Terri baby switch story keeps playing out, I may just get that, too!

YouTube has made our lives here at the Digest a lot easier — there's no more reliable way of fact-checking than going straight to the source, and with such a wide array of vintage clips available online, we frequently luck out and find the very scene readers have a question about or that we want to describe accurately in something we're writing.

If you're here reading my blog, it's probably safe to say that you are an Internet junkie. If your net junkie-ness, for lack of a better word, is soap specific, by now I hope you've had the chance to become pretty familiar with soapoperaweekly.com.

With all the sadness surrounding Colleen's storyline on YOUNG AND RESTLESS,
it's been a relief to watch the much more lighthearted scenes featuring the
Chancellors and the Bardwells.

Something that always makes me crazy on shows is that houses don't seem to have guest rooms (except for Emma's house on ATWT; that place apparently has enough bedrooms to hold the whole town of Oakdale).

Yay to GH for acknowledging Edward and Lila's wedding anniversary on today's show! In an era of dwindling Quartermaines, it was a fond tribute to our much missed and beloved matriarch, Anna Lee (ex-Lila).

The new version of V is designed to be a reboot, but tacking on the conventions of our current TV landscape calls attention to the familiarity of the concept.
