Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008, is coming to Salem. Look for Stewart on June 20 when she portrays an Alpha Chi Theta adviser to DAYS OF OUR LIVES's Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) and Morgan (Kristen Renton).

Joseph Mascolo (Stefano, DAYS)

It's true: DAYS's Joseph Mascolo is out of Salem. "Stefano is still in a coma and that's where he will remain for now," a show spokesperson tells Soap Opera Digest. Needless to say, the actor who has played the DiMera patriarch for over 25 years is not pleased with this development. Brandon Beemer (Shawn) and Martha Madison (Belle) will last air on DAYS on March 24, when their characters sail out of Salem. The actors speak out to Digest about their axings and final days. "It was like a smack across the face, like 'What just happened?' " admits Beemer of getting the news of his exit. "I'm sad," admits Madison. The duo attended a charity event in Hartford, CT this past weekend, where they got a chance to talk to the fans. After, Madison headed to New York. "This is my second trip to New York, hint, hint. DAYS has finally recast the role of Mickey Horton. Kevin Dobson, who most recently appeared as B&B's Judge Devin Owens, but is best known as KNOTS LANDING's Mack McKenzie, will take over the role that was last played by John Ingle (Edward, GH) in 2006. He will first air in April.

"When they write and tell me that it feels like there's a hole in the Brady family, then I want to come back. I am very protective of the loyal following I have. In an exclusive interview with Digest, the actor talks about the changes he's made in his time away from Salem and how he learned he'd be coming back. "I am putting a lot of trust out there. I love the show; it's what I do. I love the relationship I've had with the audience and that has really opened my eyes here in the last couple of months. A lot of people are still very emotionally attached to this show. There's a way to turn this show around. All we have to do is get it out there on the stage. We have to get it on the page."
