SLIDESHOW: Y&R's 37th Anniversary Party
Y&R celebrated their 37th anniversary in style! Check out these pics from their party.
What The Stars Said About The Party
Stephen Nichols (Tucker, Y&R)
"The best part was the mere fact that this show throws a party for the cast and crew while so many others, crying poor, have given up that tradition. It was nice to see the level of respect the producers have for their team. The gag reel was pretty funny too."
Lauralee Bell (ex-Christine, Y&R)
"It was a great time. I always love seeing my Y&R friends and it was fun to get to meet some new cast members. It was, is, and will always be the most talented cast and crew."
Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R)
"The best part is that we are still going strong after 37 years. It really does feel like a huge accomplishment."
Thom Bierdz (ex-Phillip, Y&R)
"I loved catching up with old friends like Stephen Nichols [Tucker]. Last time I saw him was when I was catering for Rob Reiner! Stephen was very gracious to me because I was a little embarrassed to have lost my fame and fortune at that point and was catering."
WOW! Would I have loved to have been at that party! I've been watching for 35 years and would have enjoyed so much meeting everyone.
It would have been really wonderfulto be at that party, the pictures are great, Good Luck Young and Restless, here is to another 35years.
I have been watching this show for 37 years. I saw the premiere episode, as I just had a baby. Unfortunately I missed many stories until the VHS arrived and then couldn't wait to come home from work and watch my soaps. I've been very faithful to the show through thick and thin (stories too dragged out and too many remarriages. I love seeing past actors return for a visit, like Tracy and she is a wonderful actor. I would have loved to have been at the party and personally meet everyone. Just watching and enjoying the program for so long, and feeling a part of it, has been a party.
Happy 37th Anniversary to the Young & The Restless. I have had the privilege to watch the Y&R over the past 10 yrs, and up until date it's been wonderful and the most amazing & entertaining show of all. I remember rushing home from school just to watch this amazing daytime show. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on their success in making the Y&R very watchful throughout the years. My favorite character are Sharon, Nick, Phyllis, Michael but above all I love Victor Newman(cause without him, I personally think the Y & R will flop big time.) Good luck to all. Bye!!!
Happy Anniversary to the Young & Restless. Great seeing the slideshow of many of the stars. I have been enjoying this soap opea for many, many years and hope to enjoy it for many more with all my favorites. I too would have loved to be at that party, I believe that would be every Y/R fan's dream. God Bless All!!!!!
I was a newlywed, we just moved to California from Oregon in 1974 and when I started watching the show, they were on for 30 mins. a day. We moved back to Portland, where I currently reside with the same husband, when they started the 1hour show. I started corresponding with Melody Thomas, Danny and Gina. The fan club wasn't as big back then, Melody sent me a card every Christmas and even a couple 8x10 photos of herself. I asked for my Y&R LP cover signed when I ordered it. They did. Much later, we visited CBS and I bought a signed T-shirt and I still have it, bought from at the Gift Shop. I wear it proudly during casual days. I've been watching it ever since! When Nikki had Victoria, my oldest son was born. When she had Nick, I had my second son, named Victor. How I wish to be a Background Extra for the show. You'll see me in the episode for Leverage dressed in my Ethnic outfit, as BG airport traveler. Cheers to everyone & congrats!
