Born in Los Angeles, Megan Ward and her family moved to Honolulu when she was 4. There, her parents started a theater company and began teaching acting. As a child, Ward soon found herself cast in the plays they produced. In fact, her very first role was Baby Bunny in Peter Rabbit. By the time Ward was 9, she was appearing in commercials for local department stores. Having amassed an extensive portfolio by the age of 12, she began modeling, traveling to Japan for six years for various assignments.
Ward's modeling work led to her first TV role: hosting the show Science Q in Japan. Eventually, Ward moved back to Los Angeles to pursue acting; her career began to flourish with a variety of television and movie roles. She got her big break in 1992, when she was cast as happening high school girl Robyn Sweeney in Encino Man. The next year, she landed her first TV series, CLASS OF '96. She has also recurred on PARTY OF FIVE and MELROSE PLACE. In 2007, Ward joined GENERAL HOSPITAL as Sonny's former high school girlfriend Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri, a fashion magazine editor.
Ward met her husband, Michael in 1988, when they were both in the same acting class. The couple have been together ever since, marrying in 1995. Ward gave birth to their first child, Oliver, in 2001. Daughter Audrey arrived in 2006.
