Francisco San Martin was born in Spain and lived there until the age of 5, when he and his family moved to Montana. Growing up, he divided his time between Spain and the U.S. When San Martin was in his teens, he began taking acting lessons in a youth community program. He is also a photographer and recently traveled to Mozambique to photograph small children. He donated the proceeds from the photos to benefit kids in orphanages. In 2010, Martin came to Los Angeles for a summer course at the Acting Corporation.

  2. San Martin was first cast on DAYS because he had just returned from Mozambique and the show thought he would fit the role of a character who had just returned from a Third-World country, where he contracted a deadly disease.
