LeBlanc's Five Favorite Y&R Moments

— By Deanna Barnert

Michael Baldwin was bad to the bone when he rolled into Genoa City 15 years ago, but he's come a long way since then. Now he has a family, a baby on the way and if he does the wrong thing, it's usually for the right reason. We asked Christian J. LeBlanc to share his top five favorite moments with THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.

A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS
1. "Above all, I appreciate my experience of this cast for this many years. I have to say, I have a ball when I walk in that door. I laugh throughout my day and the people I bounce off here make you step up your game. They're great and they make me better. Not to sound mushy, but I've been so lucky to have jobs where I enjoy the people. I know there are jobs where people are miserable. You can love your work and be stuck with people who just don't. I worked in a hospital with my best friend, Keith, where it was high-pressure, high-volume work that was very important and you couldn't screw up, but you laughed through the day because you were with people who made it a joy to be there."

LUXE LIFE
2. "Going to Monaco with Eileen (Davidson, Ashley). I love travel, and it was cool watching the show in Italy with [Prince Albert] and sitting in an auto grill in the Autostrada."

HI, MOM
3. "Joan Van Ark being cast as my mother and then meeting her for the first time when Michael met his mother for the first time. That was a great moment. For the Emmys, I submitted a scene with Joan."

OH, BROTHER
4. "Greg (Rikaart) being cast as Kevin. We found out we were going to be brothers at the same time, and it was a huge change. It provided me with some of the best material I've ever had. I got the Emmy for the scenes when he was in the hospital. I make no bones about the fact that it was because of Joan and Greg. I tell Greg, 'When you're unconscious, I shine!'"

YOU'RE HIRED
5. "Being cast on the show. People asked, 'What is it like being cast on the No. 1 show?' I was like, 'Huh?' I'd been out of soaps for a while, so that was the last thing on my mind. I was thinking, 'A job!' I had just come back from Egypt, so I was very relaxed about it. You could have blown me out of the water and I would have said, 'Bring it, baby!'"
