YOUNG AND RESTLESS Interviews
Summertime With Joshua Morrow— By Deanna Barnert "This has been the most fun summer I've ever had," Joshua Morrow reflects. "I'm not doing much on the show. They were pounding me for a while with story, but now I'm watching Phyllis get thrown in prison. I'm just observing, and it's a welcome break." One he's spending with his boys, Cooper, who will be 5 in September, and Crew, 2. "Man, it's heaven," he sighs. "They're getting to the level now where you don't have to bring strollers, diapers, bottles and everything. We can just throw on some trunks and baseball caps and roll. They're also at this great stage where all they want to do is play sports." Anyone who knows Morrow knows that's a slam-dunk with him, though it does have its downside: "It's exhausting!" he laughs. "I've been playing tons of paddle tennis and doing lots of swimming, biking and running. Then I get home and I have to go to the backyard and hang out with them for two hours, playing baseball and riding scooters." Morrow was recuperating from a whole weekend of fun when Weekly caught up with him. "We have a beach house, and it was just me, the wife and the boys," he shares. "We played baseball in the sand, made sand castles and took outdoor showers. It was awesome." Yes, he said outdoor showers! "It's very liberating to drop trou' and take a shower in the sun," Morrow reflects. "People can see you if they're crafty, but they've got to work at it." As for whether he and the missus are working on adding a third little athlete to the family, Morrow hedges. "We're not on any clock, but I think it will happen some day. We're going by the seat of our pants."
