Tammin Sursok's Five Greatest Y&R Moments

Although she's barely been part of YOUNG AND RESTLESS fold for two years, actress Tammin Sursok has amassed some memorable moments during her tenure as Colleen Cecile Carlton. First and foremost, she's had to adjust to the American celebrity experience, having started her career in her native Australia. Sursok recalls her top five memories since joining the show.

WELCOME TO AMERICA
"I'll always remember my first episode, because it was very new to me. I had been doing TV in Australia for seven years. You think it's exactly the same thing, no matter where you are in the world, and it has some similarities, but all in all, it's a very different thing to work in the States. Everyone was just very professional on-set, and it was definitely a different feeling working here. I really felt like I had accomplished something after my first day."
DOUBLE DUTY
"I was filming the movie SPECTACULAR! in Australia last May [2008] and doing YOUNG AND RESTLESS. I was playing two different characters at the same time, so I had to travel back and forth to Los Angeles. It really made me appreciate coming home and being able to be Colleen; then, leaving and being someone else. It was one of the best times in my life. I was able to do Y&R and something else at the same time, and I put a lot of effort into coming back and doing great work. I remember being on an airplane and learning my lines for Y&R. I had a rabbi next to me on the plane and asked him if he would run my lines with me. I would go through the turbulence holding his hand, while he was running Brad's lines and I was Colleen."
OH, DANNY BOY
"All the stuff with Daniel [Michael Graziadei] was memorable. I hadn't had to do anything too sexy before that. There was one scene where I had to take my clothes off and we had to kiss extremely passionately. We ended up knocking into each other really hard. It was hilarious. I might have even been bleeding. We joked and laughed about it afterward. It was interesting showing that sexier side of myself. You become very self-conscious when you're doing those kinds of scenes. Then you realize [that] when they say action and the cameras start, you might as well just go full speed ahead into your love scene."

"Going to the Emmys [in 2008] was a huge thing for me. I'd never been to an American award show before. I brought my parents with me. It was an extremely thrilling and exciting experience, and made me really grateful to be part of such a good show. The Emmys were different from any event I'd ever been to in Australia. You know less people at events in America. The industry in Australia is so small that you've met pretty much everybody, or you've worked with everybody. So you feel more of a friendship vibe with everyone at events. The Emmys in the States just seemed a lot bigger and definitely glossier."
BYE-BYE, DADDY DON
"Don [Diamont, ex-Brad]leaving was a huge thing for me. I got to really go there emotionally when Brad died. A lot came out of my character when she lost her father. It was tough to keep repeating those emotions in every scene, but it felt very fulfilling at the end of it. Don's leaving also really showed me how close everyone is on YOUNG AND RESTLESS. It made me appreciate being part of a show that had been around for so long. It really felt like being part of a second family, and that was a great moment."

Please don't let Coleen die. I love the scenes with Coleen and Lily. True BFF. I feel so sorry for JT. I would like to see him and Coleen together. Victoria doesn't deserve him.

Please let Colleen come back!! She and JT belong together !*Even though JT and Victoria are married in REAL LIFE.* The show needs another great couple!! Tammin is a GREAT actress!!!!! I've been crying all week watching the show!!
I think they should really rethink letting Colleen die myself and lots of my friends really like the BFF between Colleen and Lily. They really need to rethink this.
Killing Colleen is a HUGE mistake. What are the writers thinking? I am so disappointed.
I really hope the writers rethink killing off colleen she's great! I really began to love her character when Sursok took over. If anything we wont miss Victor he's becoming an unlikeable character. PLEASE KEEP COLLEEN GIVE HER ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE LILLY REALLY NEEDS HER.
I hate that Colleen is leavening you need to put her back on .she is a real good actres. this is not good that you are taking her off. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WRITERS. IF I WAS THE WRITERS I WOULD KEEP HER ON . SO WRITERS PLEASE KEEP COLLEEN ON .
Why are they having Colleen die? BIG MISTAKE!! Lily needs her BFF for her to have the courage and determination to fight this cancer and treatments. Maybe if the writers gave this some thought, they would have know you need someone close to fight this ugly disease.
I don't think they should kill off Colleen either. I think Victor has Brad frozen in ice somewhere and will someday bring him back to make up for all he had done to Colleen. I also thought Adam had Nikki held hostage somewhere for telling Heather about him and Raif. I figures Ashley would end up with sharons baby. I think Y&R should have a miracle and let Coleen live.
I also think Colleen should stay. I wish the writers would bring the adam story line to an end. It has gone on too long. Any pregnant woman that doesn't feel the baby moving all this time, and doesn't see a doctor, should know there is something wrong. come on writers, get it together.
Please I do not like Colleen, matter of fact all the Abbotts get on my nerve from Jack all the way down to Abbey. Yall act like Colleen didn't cheat on JT when they were together. How she left JT for professor Corbel. Please JT and Victoria belongs together. and JT is not innocent he and Colleen was messing around too so all the blame is not on Victora.

I am sad to see Colleen leave Y&R, but what a twist for her heart to go to Victor and imagine how weird he's going to feel after all he did to get her off the board.....I hope Victor survives and that his character is kept alive even if played by someone else. He & Niki need to reunite and everyone should find out about Adams' bad deeds and how he has just destroyed Ashley's mind. Adam needs to be locked away for good.
I think Colleen should be removed, she was horrible at acting anyway. What I think is crazy and not even close to being realistic is the situation with Sharon and Ashley..I mean, be serious, the chances of both women ending up in the same mental institution, across the hall from each other, both going into pre-mature labor at the same time??Be serious. And Why are you dragging out Adams's evils plots? It has gone on for so long until it's almost stupid. Who goes that long carrying a baby that's dead in your stomach and has no pain. I am not watching The Young and Restless for atleast another month until this craziness is over. How in the world can you put a mental instituion on lock down, deliver a baby while on lock down, no one comes in to check on 2 pregnant ladies during the lock down!!! This is way too STUPID...Do the writers who write this stuff actually go over what they are writing? They cant, because if they did, they would see just how crazy there story lines have been
The writers need to rethink killing off Colleen, maybe leaving the show was her demand but this sucks. What is Lily going to do now? or J.T?
I am really disappointed with the Colleen deal as everyone else. Is she leaving because she has other opportunities? If so, I can respect that. As a loyal fan, I think that there should be somewhere for viewers to read up on an actress/actor, when they are leaving the set. Knowing if an actress/actor leaving the show would help understand why the story line changes the way it does. I am also tired of the Adam deal. Why is he not in prison anyway? The writers are really not thinking realistically here. I mean really guys, I know this is a soap opera, but can we try to be more realistic here. This guy should be in prison but he's on house arrest because he is Newmans' half son? Under what judicial system, Sesame Street! As an adult I am seriously insulted. Again, I know this is a soap opera, but for clean adult entertainment, the storyline quality really sucks, because its not even close to being realistic. An we want even go there about the resurrection of characters after death. Can they just die f

Oh come on guys, this cannot be happening. I just finished watching Y&R. This really sucks. I know that Victor can't die, but Colleen can? How about they find out what Adam did to Sharon, Ashley, Nicholas and Victor. Let Nick kick the crap out of him,let him die, Colleen wakes up with J.T at her side and Victor gets Adams so-called heart, Sharon gets her baby back and Ashley gets Victor, Bottom line? KEEP COLLEEN!!!!
Please don't kill off colleen (Tracy's only child)let Adam die and Victor takes his heart...now there's an idea for that horrible person after all he's done...Victor gets his heart awesome and i beg you, beg you, beg you... Let Sharon have her baby. That storyline just makes me sick to my stomach....Nick and Sharon belong together everyone knows that...and Phyllis stole him from Sharon...she deserves what she gets
Why was Colleen killed off the show? Adam should go, he is awful. He needs to go ASAP!!! How in the world could you make a story line to steal Sharon's baby from her? That is just ridiculous. I have always watched The Young and the Restless and still will but the story lines are crazy these days. I agree Nick & Sharon belong together. Phyllis is a *itch! She will get what she deserves from stealing Nick from Sharon.
Having faithfully watched Y&R for 21 years now, I have seen drastic changes in the story lines and writing. Why such a downward spiral of quality in the past couple of years? The story lines have been horrible. Get back to the realistic stuff and leave this fantasy/pathetic excuse of story lines in the past. Let the psychotic and unbelievable parts be over already! Please??? I'd like to remain a faithful fan, but it's getting hard to do so.
I have watched Y&R for years and always favored it over other soaps because it was the most realistic. These days the story lines are terrible and are making people want to stop watching!! Why are the good actors being let go and the terrible ones being kept on?? The quality of the show has definitely been going downhill. I understand keeping things exciting but turning off your loyal viewers doesn't work!! ADAM MUST GO and the whole storyline with Ashley and Sharon and the baby. End it already, so lame and annoying. Everyone wants Sharon, Nick and the baby to be together!!!!!
I've watched Y&R since the first air date. The story lines got so bizzare I stopped watching until Nick and Sharon were reuniting. There wasn't nearly enough time with them together before they were ripped apart again. The baby switch story is so upsetting. Sharon deserves happiness & IT'S NOT WITH ADAM! Give us back our favorite couple & their baby!!
Working in the medical field for 30 odd years, you should really get a physician to read your story lines before you tape them. No one goes through any kind of heart surgery without coming out on a ventilator. All Victor had was a nasal cannula.Come on guys,you can do better.And who could be not pregnant and not know somthing was wrong with the baby when its not moving. Ashley is just plain stupid. Adam,what can I say, he needs to go. Blind or not no one could do what he has and not get cought. We are adults watching this show, not some child you can just hope won't catch these things. The baby switch has already been done by Shelia years ago. Give us a break and give Sharon her baby, send Adam back to Kansas, Ashley back to Paris, Decon back to Forrester, Gloria & her no good husband to anywhere. Lets get real, or a lot of us will just stop watching. The story lines have really started to suck. Im just sick and tired of the whole thing. Get with the program people !!!!!!
