Magic Hour: Heidi Mueller Powers Up Kay

— By Heather Filemyr

With Kay coming into her powers on PASSIONS, the magic is back in Harmony. Here's what Heidi Mueller (Kay) has to say about it.

Soap Opera Weekly: How is Kay handling her newfound powers?
Heidi Mueller: She's excited, but wishes she'd known about it a long time ago. She could have fixed a lot of her problems back in the day! She gets too confident about it and thinks she knows how to use them, but she's not well-practiced.

Weekly: What is it like to play the magic again?
Mueller: I'm having so much fun doing it. They've always asked what my dream storyline would be, and it's always been to have magical powers. Now that I'm doing that, I'm having a blast.

Weekly: Is this a sign of a return to Harmony's mystical past?
Mueller: I think so. What was so great about the show was that we were different from the other shows, because we had that supernatural twist. They're bringing that back...this summer. It's going to be a lot of special effects and magical, creepy stuff going on. Filming has been wacky! The fans will enjoy it.

Weekly: What was your reaction to the move to DirecTV?
Mueller: I'm excited, and from what I hear, DirecTV's excited. It's uncharted waters, so nobody knows what to expect. But the fact that they picked us up and want to continue the show is great. A lot of the cast is coming back. We're a big family and we're all going in together to see what will happen. Hopefully it will stay for a long, long time.

Weekly: At press time, Mark Cameron Wystrach and Adrian Bellani, who play your love interests, Fox and Miguel, had not signed with DirecTV. What will it be like if they don't make the move?
Mueller: I don't know their situation, but if those guys don't come back I will miss them! The three of us have been working together for over a year, so it will be different. If the characters don't come back, I would be surprised.... But I have to trust that the writers know what they're doing. I'm anxious to see what's going to happen.
