A shared interest in the environment led GUIDING LIGHT's Frank Dicopoulos (Frank) to join forces with a popular singer to preserve land in his home state of New Jersey.

"I shot a public service announcement for Monmouth Land Conservation with Deborah Harry from Blondie, and a top DJ, Big Joe Henry," Dicopoulos explains. "My wife is on the committee for Monmouth Land Conservation. They found out that I was on GUIDING LIGHT and asked would I ever be interested in doing a public service announcement? I said yes, so we did it."

What was it like working with Harry? "She was totally cool," raves Dicopoulos. "It was a real hoot meeting her. She is really sharp. She lives in Red Bank, about 15 or 20 minutes from our house."

Before even airing, the PSA had been honored twice, with the AEGIS and MarCom Creative awards (in the fields of video production and marketing, respectively), and been nominated for another, the Telly (for local commercials).
