Fin, Begin Again

You had to be under a rock to miss the recent headlines about the soap "war" over Finola Hughes (Anna, GH). Though the actress was set to recur on GH this summer, Y&R wanted her for a brief stint in June as Zara. However, when ABC got wind of the request, they asked the actress to stay put, citing a big summer story they'd planned for her. Hughes complied. Well, Anna's back in Port Charles and Rick Springfield (Noah/Eli) is on his way. What lies ahead?

You Don't Say? Anna (Finola Hughes, r.) is back in town to give Robin (Kimberly McCullough) some advice on motherhood ... or is that vice versa?

Soap Opera Digest: How were you able to do daytime and tape episodes of your series on The Style Network, HOW DO I LOOK?
Finola Hughes: It was great and both shows were very accommodating. We were able to determine the schedule ahead of time, so GH put me in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I didn't work on HOW DO I LOOK? So, we had no conflicts at all.

Digest: Are you enjoying playing the comedy of Anna dealing with impending grandmotherhood on GH?
Hughes: It's fun. I think that it's interesting to look at it from a perspective of somebody who perhaps isn't ready to be a grandmother because God knows, I'm not even sure she was ready to be a mother. I'm not sure how long that can play out, though. In my mind, Anna should stop making it about her and move forward, but we'll see.

Digest: Would you like to see Anna back in action and fighting crime, like in the good old days?
Hughes: I would love for her to get to grips with some crazy crime that happened and actually try to solve it. That said, I don't want her to go into something where she doesn't solve it because the police tend to play second fiddle to the mob. That's all well and good for that line of storytelling, but it would be nice if it actually played out so there would be equal footing and you see the other guys using their brains as much as the criminals do.

I love Finola - she adds so much to her scenes. It's exciting that Rick Springfield is returning - they are so darling together, and with their kids. I look forward to great summer viewing - glad GH got Finola and glad they got Rick Springfield to return - pretty people, great talents.

I cannot believe Carly is still a hit on GM. I am sick of her trying to control every person she knows especially Sonny & Jason. She should fix her own life before she messes with them. She is so jealous of everyone!!! Can"t watch anymore!j7ukbt

Will the Jackel ever have a real love affair with whoever? he is a pretty good actor and deserves more then just being used as a computer

I am so glad that Rick Springfield returned. It will be great with him and Finola. rick with Jason Thompson who plays his son Patrick are the best. Also Finola with Kimberly who plays her pregnat daughter are great too.

I have been a Huge fan of GH for many years. I watched Robin grow up...well, I thought I she had, but pregnancy has turned her into a selfish, controlling BRAT!!!! Its not fair that she is trying to keep THEIR child away from THEIR child's FATHER! Just because Patrick was man enough to admit that he could not see children in his future,does not mean that his mind and heart could not change. Robin's attitude about this baby is totally SELFISH!! She could have lost this child,but his quick action and unconditional love for her helped save them both! She needs to wake up and realize that there are so many women who want their child's father to be even half way involved in the child's life, but she SELFISHLY only wants involvement on her terms. Word of advise... Don't cause your child to resent you when they are old enough to know that their father was kept at arm's length because his/her mother was on an egotistical control trip.

Is Carly bi-polar, too? I've have just about enough of whinning, lieing, cheating,SELFISHLY hypocritical,CHILDISH Carly!! She kills the desire to watch the show because she is never knows when to quit! I agree.. isn't it time to give this blonde a brain or completely let her go?!
