Felisha Terrell's Fun DAYS

Chicago native Felisha Terrell joined DAYS OF OUR LIVES this spring as Rafe's nagging sister, Arianna. The daytime newcomer shares her thoughts on her first soap role, what it's like working with Passions' alumni Galen Gering (Luis) and Eric Martsolf (Brady), and how she came to daytime via the world of pharmaceuticals.

Soap Opera Weekly: You play a waitress on DAYS. Isn't that ironic, considering that's how a lot of actors support themselves while they're waiting for their big break?
Felisha Terrell: Actually, not [always]. Before I went into acting, I had a completely different job: I was in pharmaceutical sales. I went to college and worked for Fortune 500 companies. So it's definitely been a long road for me and a huge change, although I did wait tables in college, briefly.
Weekly: How did you end up going from pharmaceuticals to acting?
Terrell: My parents were very strict about my focusing on school. So I went to college and did all that. But eventually, I realized that acting was what I really wanted to do. So I moved out to Los Angeles about 2 1/2 years ago, and started taking classes and auditioning.
Weekly: Had you ever taken any acting classes prior to moving to L.A.?
Terrell: No. I never did a school play or anything, although I think I [played] the Sugar Plum Fairy when I was 5.

Weekly: DAYS is your "big break." Did it take time to acclimate to the world of professional acting, particularly the harried soap scene?
Terrell: Absolutely. I'm honestly still getting used to it. But I walked onto such an amazing set with great people, so getting acclimated wasn't so much of a struggle. I'm really hard on myself, with my work ethic coming from the business world. I sometimes want to be perfect. But in this business, you have to give yourself a break and realize it's a process.
Weekly: What can you share about your two leading men, Galen Gering and Eric Martsolf?
Terrell: They're both jokesters and great guys. Between takes, Galen will always throw something random at me and make me crack up. Sometimes I'll tell him, "If you make me laugh, I'll kill you," because I need to get through the scene. He's always teasing me about playing the nagging sister. Both Galen and Eric have been very helpful to me. I'll ask Eric questions about how he approaches certain things, and he always has great answers for me. He's a great family guy. It's nice to work with someone who's as grounded as he is. He's been in this business for a while, but he hasn't lost sight of what's important.

I have been a Days watcher for over 22 years. Very sad about Mr. Hogestyn and now also with Felisha's departure. Every once in a while there is a couple that have that so called X-factor and I feel that Felisha and Eric really had the potential to make a great connection. So sorry to see her go. Also, if the doc (Daniel) or Eric (Brady) leave the show, I will have a very hard time watching Days. I know people come and go, but it's hard when the people you love leave. Thanks

Hello Felisha! I am a big ariana fan but I was watching the TO show this weekend and I want to beg you NOT TO TAKE HIS SORRY ARSE BACK! He is a loser who cheated and if he has an attitude w/you as he does w/his teams and team mates... then girl you can do MUCH BETTER!! There are plenty of men who would love a chance to be with you and they would be loyal. Dont stick w/a zero..go get a hero
I think you have done a wonderful job with the role of Arianna. It should not be recast. I unerstand that you went to college at the U of Iowa. I live clos by there, and so I feel happy about that.
I think it will be weird to see Teresa on the sho especially sine Rafe and Brady are also there I like Arianna but guess somethings have to come to a stop.
I think Felisha has done a wonderful job as Arianna. In my opinion Days is making a big mistake in trying to combine two soap operas that are so totally different. Lindsey is a beautiful girl but I hope she has learned to do something else besides tear up and cry since Passions. Days should bring back some of the actors we love, John & Marlena especially, instead of bringing on new people.
I am a big fan of Day's. I can not believe that Arianna is leaving. She played a good role. I can not see Lindsay playing a drug dealer.It is nice to see Lindsay coming back but you can make her the new girl coming to Salem. I will miss you Felisha and hope the best for you in the future, i hope you will be back on Day's soon. Let us know what you will be doing in your career. I miss Marlena & John. Patch and Kala, bring back the veterian casters. I really do miss Nick, Belle and Shawn as well. Good luck to you Felisha, i will miss you.
I was shocked when I turned on Days today and Rage called some other chick Arianna. What is up? I didn't watch Passions so why is some actress from Passions on Days? I thought Passions was cancelled...so the newcomer gets "canned" i am soooo disappointed!!!
I am so happy to see an excellant group of actors get a big break and come to Days. I have been a Days fan since i was a teenager, I am now almost 65 in 12 days. I have enjoyed both Days and Passions, ironically i hope that Days would cast some of the Passion actors. Sure I liked Felisha Terrell a newcomer but i don't think she can come close chemistry wise or acting talent as Lindsey. As far the drug dealing, writers I have figured that out already. Maybe I will be surprised, I hope not.
I am so disgusted that Days is letting Felisha go - I have so enjoyed watching her. She is Ariana! She and Brady had great chemistry and I looked forward to watching them. Very disappointing - but getting used to that with Days...
Felisha (Arianna) has much better chemistry with Brady than Lindsey. They just seemed to mesh much better. Lindsey is much too animated, where Felisha was more natural and her and Brady compliment each other better, besides they make a better looking couple. I think Days should bring her back, since she did start this role. It seems to have been made for her. I say out with Lindsey, and bring Felisha back.
Really disappointed that the original Arianna is now gone. The new gal just doesnt cut it.
So sorry Days let Felisha (Arianna) go. She had much better chemistry with Brady and Rafe... and I think she is a better actor. Wish you would bring her back. A fan of Days since 1969.

I really liked Felisha she is a very good actress I was dissapointed to hear she wont be playing Arianna on Days of our lives.Wish you the best.And to the writers wish you would bring her back soon I mean soon.

I am a little behind in watching Days of our lives and have the back episodes on DVR. I just watched the episode where Arianna has been replaced by the new/old actress. No offense to Lindsay but Felisha was amazing as Arianna! I just felt she and Brady had great chemistry and she was such a natural beauty. It made me jealous everytime I watched her. Days you made a big mistake and I think Felisha should be brought back to play Arianna!
I am extremely disappointed with the new casting of Arianna. I was surprised to learn that she was just new to acting, she played the role very well and I felt had a much better chemistry with "Brady". I just can't seem to get use to the new Arianna, something about her I'm not fond of.
