Thanks to Babe's nefarious ex, Paul, and the baby switch he orchestrated, Babe's son ended up in the arms of OLTL's Kevin and Kelly. Babe, meanwhile, was raising Bianca's daughter as her own ("Bess") while Binks mourned the presumed death of Miranda. Bianca had no idea how close her child was when she served as Babe's maid of honor at her wedding to JR (their first union had been proven invalid).

As her marriage crumbled back in Pine Valley, Babe spied her son in OLTL's Llanview and, with Jamie's help, went on the run with him. She intended for Bianca to get her daughter back, but that would take a while longer.
