Annie came to town while on the run from her husband, Terry, who had molested young girls. With Erin's help, she found a place to stay: Ryan's penthouse.

September 2006
Ryan and Annie grew closer, while Terry taunted Annie with phone calls. On edge, Annie shot Ryan as he came into the penthouse, thinking he was Terry. On the same night, Terry had attacked Lily, and Jonathan, coming to her aid, shot and killed him. Ryan recovered from his wound, and Annie was grateful to Jonathan, since she would no longer have to live in fear.

October 2006
Ryan stood by Annie when Tad and Dixie claimed her daughter, Emma, was actually their daughter, Kate.

November 2006
David discovered that Ryan was Emma's biological father (via sperm donation) and told Kendall, who decided to keep the information from Ryan.

December 2006
Annie and Ryan went on their first date.

January 2007
Annie helped Ryan take care of Spike during the Satin Slayer murders. Under the influence of truth serum, Zach clued Ryan in that Ryan had a child other than Spike. Kendall confirmed the child was Emma. Ryan, in turn, told Annie.

February 2007
Ryan and Annie made love for the first time.

March 2007
Ryan proposed to Annie. Thinking Ryan wanted to marry her only because of Emma, Annie didn't say yes right away. Eventually, she did accept.

May 2007
Ryan and Annie got married, only to find out the marriage was invalid thanks to Greenlee, who had recently returned to town, and never filed divorce papers. Greenlee, Ryan and Annie flew to the Caribbean, where Ryan and Greenlee got a quickie divorce and Annie and Ryan were legally wed.

January 2008
Ryan was shot in the head, and although he survived, he lost all memory of his life with Annie.

July 2008
When Ryan regained his memory, he realized he was in love with Greenlee, not Annie.

August 2008
When Annie discovered the truth, she moved out.
