Heather Tom Performs In Vanities

Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Matthew Lombardo will present five-time Emmy Award-winner Heather Tom in Vanities directed by John J. Castonia. Tickets go on sale January 10, 2014 for the acclaimed Jack Heifnerplay, which is part of the WinterStage Season at the Parker Playhousein Fort Lauderdale, Florida from March 26–30, 2014.

The story centers on the lives and friendship of three Texas cheerleaders starting from high school in 1963, continuing through college as sorority sisters in the late 1960s and ending with the dissolution of their friendship in the mid-1970s as their interests and livelihoods change. Vanities had one of the longest Off-Broadway runs on record, playing 1785 performances at the Chelsea Theatre Center (now the Westside Theatre). Heifner received a 1976 Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding New Play.

 

Performance times are: Wednesday, March 26 at 8 p.m.; Thursday, March 27 at 2 and 8 p.m.; Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 2 & 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m.

Individual tickets are $28, $46.50 and $66.50 with discounted tickets for groups of 10 or more priced at $26, $42 and $60.
