2008 Emmy Predictions

Emmy Fever:
Digest and Weekly Weigh In

Although the nominations for the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will not be announced until April 30 live on THE VIEW, we here at Digest and Weekly are feeling the pre-Emmy fever and have generated our own predictions based on who we think should be nominated out of the pre-nominees. Some categories were tough to narrow down, so there are few in which we included six actors instead of the usual five. These are in no way official or affiliated with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).

You should check your list more carefully. You have Rick Hearst listed as being on GL, he's on GH.

I can't believe you left Bradford Anderson off the list of best younger actor?

I am shocked they left out Bradford Anderson as well. He is such a talented actor and should be recoginzed for his work over the past year in GH.

You pick Alison Sweeney but not James Scott for lead actor? Sami wasn't having conversations by herself for the past year.

I hope that Judith Chapman gets nominated. She is doing such a GREAT job on Y&R. Also, Laura Wright has had a good year as well. I also agree that Bradford Anderson should get a nod. I also hope that Thorsten and Maurice get the nods that they have richly deserve.

Even Steve Burton acknowledged the fact that Bradford has the hardest dialog to act and memorize. He should be on the list.

Some crazy nominations this year - Vail Bloom? Are you kidding? The nomination process really needs an overhaul. Shouldn't the actors being nominated have had an essential part of the story? I am so disappointed in the list of nominees that I don't see the need to watch the show.

So very disappointed in the nominations this year. I will not even watch the Emmies (for the first time). Bradford Anderson should have an award for the most difficult script - he did such a great job, and is just about the only reason other than Steve Burton that I watch the show. How could Kristin Anderson be left off? What a talented young actress she is, and she did have a good story line! There are so many that should have appeared on the nominee list. I do believe that someone was out to sabotage ABC soaps! Sad situation. Something needs revision.

I hope Days of our lives wins best soap and each catagory that they are nominated. The emmy's owe it to them, since the other two major networks are always winning!HATERS!!

Sooo many people deserved noms, Bradford Anderson, Tyler Christopher, I haven't cried that hard in a long time, amoung others. I agree something is weird with the emmy's this year but I hope GH can at least bring home best Drama.

It's a shame that Days of Our Lives gets so little notice anymore. It's a great show and will be lost before long and I think lack of advertising in the magazines and on SoapNet have had alot to do with that. There are great actors on that show, please don't give awards out to the newbies as others are so much more deserving.

why don't you put both luke and Noah in the catagory for favorite couple of the year.
