Young and Restless Recaps

Y&R Week of November 15, 2010

Monday

At G.C.A.C., Daniel was not only glum about waiting for the results of the paternity test but also over the fact that it would've been his and Amber's first wedding anniversary. Phyllis did her best to lighten her son's spirits but being apart from Abby added to his depression.

Sharon was caught off guard by a kneeling Nick's proposal. She suggested that, for now, living together as a family was enough. Nick then presented her with the first engagement ring he gave her when they were teens and assured his proposal was "straight from the heart." Sharon was touched that Nick found the ring and finally accepted.

Victoria and Jack informed Abby that a judge ruled that Victor must turn over his company's financial records to be reviewed. Jack wanted to see how Victor was reacting to the news and headed out. Abby feared that Victor would disown her but Victoria assured that her sister needs to fight for her independence. Still, Abby had second thoughts about taking such drastic measures against their dad and announced she wanted out of the lawsuit. Victoria advised Abby to be tough then ran out to shop for her birthday
gift.

Adam ran into Sharon at Crimson Lights and she told him that she and Nick are engaged. Adam put on a stoic front and fibbed that the most important thing is that Sharon is happy. Adam returned to Gloworm and turned in his resignation to Gloria.

Victor arrived at his office to find Vance there with a court order to turn over Newman's records. Victor refused and Vance warned he'll be arrested. Victor called Michael and learned he had no choice but to cooperate. He grudgingly allowed Vance to leave with the records as a gloating Jack showed up and admitted that he was indeed behind the lawsuit. Jack then scoffed that Victor can't come after him because Vic still needs Jack for their plot to bring down Adam. Victor warned that once their joint plan is completed, he will be coming after Jack.

Victoria arrived at Newman Enterprises and urged her father to reach out to Abby on her birthday. He exploded that his business is in crisis because he had to release his financial reports and ordered Victoria to leave.

Ashley and Tucker arrived at Victoria's house for Abby's birthday party. She was shocked to find Pericles, the horse she sold to help finance THE NAKED HEIRESS was waiting for her outside. Tucker had bought him back for her gift. While Abby was thrilled, Ashley was peeved over such an extravagance and declared that her daughter couldn't accept it. Daniel arrived and assured Abby that she did the right thing by breaking up with him, which didn't make her feel good. After Daniel left, Tucker tried to take the horse back but Abby insisted that she wanted him. Victoria showed up with her gift, then everyone was stunned when Victor unexpectedly arrived. He asked about Pericles and Tucker confirmed that he bought the horse back as a birthday gift. Victor stormed out.

Nick told Phyllis that he and Sharon were going to remarry. Phyllis seemed okay with the news but after he left, she became emotional in front of Jack and told him that she missed him. He thought it wasn't the right time to discuss their estrangement but she insisted she wanted to. Daniel interrupted with the announcement that the paternity test results are in.
Nick and Sharon shared how well both Phyllis and Adam took the news. Meanwhile, Adam showed up at Skye's room and said he wanted to come back but only if they're complete partners. He smooched her, then declared, "Let's make some money."

Tuesday

At Crimson Lights, Heather saw Ronan with a bottle of pills. Nina showed up and Ronan told his mom that he has an update of a case to share with Murphy. Nina suggested he come to the Chancellor mansion with her and he agreed. When Ronan gave Heather a pep talk about being unemployed, Nina mistakenly thought there was something more between them but they quickly dismissed that notion. Nina invited Heather to visit Murphy with them and she agreed.

Daniel and Phyllis anxiously waited for the paternity test results at the hospital. Jack, Michael and Lauren came too and they gathered in Daisy's room for the verdict. Daniel was sure Daisy was lying about being the sire so, you know what that means? Yep, the doctor confirmed that Daniel is indeed the proud papa and that the gender is female. Everyone was in shock, except Daisy who begged Daniel not to let her go back to jail for their baby's sake. Daniel stormed out of the room and Daisy lamented she will be giving birth behind bars. Fearing for her unborn grandchild, Phyllis tried to reason with Lauren about not sending Daisy back to that environment but Lauren wouldn't budge.

Katherine asked Murphy why he never mentioned that he had a son. Murphy explained that his son Francis married Meggie then ended up on life support after an accident. Murphy never wanted the plug pulled on Francis but Meggie authorized it. After she collected his life insurance, Meggie left town. Nina, Heather and Ronan arrived and he announced that Meggie will be locked up for a long, long time. Heather and Ronan later left together so he could drive her back to the coffee house, where she left her car. As they were leaving, Ronan dropped his pill bottle and she saw the label.

Michael texted Kevin about the paternity test. Kev approached a boozing Daniel at Gloworm and asked what he plans to do about his child. Daniel told his pal to back off.... A persistent Phyllis proposed to Lauren and Michael that Daisy be released into Phyl's custody so she can keep close tabs on Daisy 24/7. Lauren incredulously asked if that meant Phyllis wanted Daisy to live with her but Phyl said no. She was thinking more of a secured place with around-the-clock security (um.... isn't that what jail is?). Lauren refused to consider that option.... Heather asked about Ronan's pills and he claimed he was taking anti-inflammatory medication for carpal tunnel. She researched the med on-line and discovered that was a lie. Heather told Ronan that she knows he's very sick.... Kevin told Michael and Lauren that he would raise his niece if Daniel didn't want to step up.... Daniel visited Daisy in jail and demanded that she give up their baby for adoption but she vowed that wouldn't happen... Jack advised Phyllis to hire Vance Abrams about Daisy.

Wednesday

Heather surmised that Ronan is ill but he denied it and demanded she mind her own business. When she refused to back off, Ronan suggested they go back to his place so he can take off his clothes and let her examine him. An offended Heather called him a jerk and scoffed, "I was worried about you. Forget it."

Lauren and Michael were shocked by Kevin's assertion that he wanted to raise Daisy's baby. Lauren dubbed the idea as "insane" but Kevin insisted that the baby is blameless and deserves a loving home. As the conversation became heated, Michael advised his brother to wait to see what Daniel really wants to do about the baby after he has had time to process that reality.

Phyllis feared Michael and Lauren's reaction if she hired Vance Abrams, per Jack's suggestion. Still, Phyllis wanted to at least know her options and met with Vance. She made it clear that she only wants Daisy out of jail till she gives birth. Vance suggested they have doctors evaluate Daisy's mental state but she'll need a place to stay while under house arrest. "Daisy can live with me," Phyllis declared, shocking Jack. Vance said Phyllis would have a much stronger case if Daniel signed on, too. After Vance departed, Jack urged Phyllis not to let "that freak" move in with her but Phyl assured she can handle her.

Heather ran into Victor and told him that she lost her job. Mr. Sensitive
huffed that she should blame Billy since he published "that inflammatory
article" about her. "You don't care what happens to me at all, do you?"
Heather posed. Victor said he had enough of his own woes to worry about and
left.

Jana visited Daisy, who reiterated that Kevin will be impressed with his ex
if she doesn't testify against his little sister. Daisy assumed Jana was on
board but she assured she will be testifying against Ms. Carter. "You are
trying to use me and Kevin ... I will never, ever let that happen," Jana
raged.

Kevin was surprised when Daniel shared that he wanted Daisy's baby to be adopted. Daniel later met with his mom and was stunned to hear her plans for Daisy. Furious, Daniel stalked off.... Jana visited Lauren and learned that Kevin wants to raise Daisy's kid. Jana offered to talk Kevin out of it.... At Gloworm, Heather witnessed Ronan almost passing out but he claimed he was fine. She wanted to call his doctor but, fearing for his career, Ronan refused and told her what she saw, never happened.... While being examined, Daisy got so upset about the prospect of giving birth behind bars that the doctor feared her blood pressure would shoot up.... Since Michael's workload was becoming unmanageable, Victor suggested he hire Heather to help out.

Thursday

Lily lamented to Neil that Cane has been working long hours at the office. Lily and Neil discussed a family Thanksgiving and she hoped her dad could get along with Sofia for the holiday. Neil admitted that he recently took Sofia out to dinner since Malcom is out of town on a photo shoot and they actually had a civil meal. Neil was curious when Lily mentioned that Cane got his friend Blake hired at Tucker's company.

Tucker had doubts about James Collier and wanted Sofia's take on him. Meanwhile, Cane tried to coach Blake on how to appear competent at his new job but Blake didn't seem to take it seriously. They were summoned to Tucker's office and Cane grew nervous about Tucker wanting to further scrutinize James Collier.

After spending the night together, Nick and Sharon happily admitted that their engagement seemed surreal. "Everything I've always wanted for years, I finally have it," she chirped. They agreed to officially announce their engagement on Thanksgiving. Until then, Sharon reluctantly removed her ring so nobody else would see it.

Victor sent over another big check for Jack to invest in the Newman Fund. Jack called Skye with the news that he had another potential investor and she invited him to join her and Adam at Gloworm. Jack met with the couple and he introduced his friend Marion to Adam and Skye. After their presentation, Marion agreed to invest and left. Victor showed up with Justin (whose dad Richard was killed in the G.C.A.C. explosion) and his aunt Sally. They approached Adam and Sally said they she wouldn't accept the $100,000 Adam sent them. "I want my dad back, but you killed him," Justin cried. Victor advised Adam to leave this family alone and Sally led her nephew away. Adam was visibly rattled by the encounter.

In Tucker's office, Blake told Tucker and Sofia that he goes by his middle name Blake and not James. Sofia wondered why Cane never mentioned that he and Blake are pals and Ashby said he didn't want it to look like he was asking for a favor. Blake managed to sound reasonably intelligent discussing business. After the meeting, Blake reminded Cane to write that prospectus over Thanksgiving that's supposed to be Blake's presentation.

While Victor was out of his office, Nick found a receipt for the check his dad wrote to N.A. Partnership. Noticing that it was delivered to Jack's home address, Nick aasked Victor what he and Jack are up to.... When Jack was alone with Skye, he advised her to get away from Adam and the hedge fund.... After shopping for early Christmas presents at Fenmore's, Sharon realized she’d walked off with a bracelet without paying for it. Frazzled by her behavior, she ran into Adam, who noticed she wasn't wearing her engagement rung.... Tucker told Sofia to do a background check on Blake.

Friday

Michael continued to be concerned about Lauren's paranoia, especially when she wanted to leave town with him and their son for Thanksgiving. Michael assured that Daisy is locked up but Lauren admitted she didn't want to be around Kevin, who will most likely bring up the subject of his criminal sister. Michael finally agreed to think about the travel plans.

Phyllis fretted to Jack over Daniel's attitude with her for wanting to help Daisy. Phyl tried to wrangle an invitation from Jack for Thanksgiving but he wanted to first see what plans Kyle had.... Nina asked Ronan to join her at the Chancellor house for Thanksgiving but he claimed he had to work.

When Victor refused to reveal to Nick what kind of partnership he had going with Jack, Nick threatened to ask Jack. Victor relented and explained that he and Jack have been investing in Adam's hedge fund. Nick became angry when Victor admitted that he was using money from his children's trust funds to do so. Victor finally confessed that he and Jack are planning to destroy the hedge fund. Nick deemed the scheme too risky.

Sharon explained to Adam that she wasn't wearing her ring because she and Nick were waiting for the right time to announce their engagement. Adam asked if Sharon was having second thoughts about marrying Nick and she insisted that she and Nick belong together. Adam reminded her of all the heartache Nick has caused her. She became emotional when he said he had gone back to Skye and stormed away.

Diane was surprised to learn that her hotel bill she had trouble covering had been paid till the end of the year. She confronted Jack, who copped to taking care of the tab. She objected, but he shrugged that off and asked if she needed a loan to hold her over. She insisted everything was fine. Diane reminded him that she would have a job by now if it wasn't for Phyllis's article. Jack invited Diane and their son to spend Thanksgiving at the Abbott house and she accepted.

Michael asked Heather to work for him under a two-year contract and if that works out, he would make her a partner. After hearing that Victor knows about Michael's offer, Heather happily accepted.... A greatly embarrassed Sharon returned the bracelet to Lauren, who said that mistakes happen. Sharon confessed that she felt overwhelmed and Lauren suggested she get out of town for a break.... Jack and Phyllis officially ended their breakup. He explained he'd be spending Thanksgiving with Kyle but wanted to meet with her later for dessert that night. When Diane stopped by and asked Jack what she should bring for Thanksgiving, Phyllis kept her cool. After Diane left, Phyllis was angry at Jack for not telling her that he would be spending the holiday with not just Kyle, but Diane, too.... Upon learning that Ronan turned down Nina's invitation, Heather warned that she could have too much
wine and slip to Nina that he's sick if he's not there to stop her.... Nick was shocked when Sharon announced that she wanted to go away for Thanksgiving — alone.
