Monday
At the Halloween party at Jimmy's, Victoria slapped Billy across the face. Mac concluded that she hit him because of the exposé he'd written about Victor. Billy admitted that he'd also written a story about Victoria having an affair. Daniel and Amber defended Victoria, explaining that she saved their relationship. They didn't believe that Victoria would've slept with Deacon. Billy asked Mac to help him out, but she angrily told him that he was on his own.... Ryder hung around outside the bar and became upset as he remembered a Halloween from his childhood where another boy had teased him. Kevin invited Ryder in for a quick drink.
Ashley went to Crimson Lights looking for Abby, but Noah and Eden hadn't seen her. Meanwhile, at Jimmy's, Abby, who was dressed like Amy Winehouse, was chatting with her new friend, Daisy, who was dressed like Gwen Stefani. Amber and Chloe came over to say hello and the teens asked if they could get them some drinks. Amber and Chloe obliged. Kevin then introduced them to Ryder, whom Abby recalled meeting the other day. Abby explained that Daisy was going to be a senior at Walnut Grove High. Chance arrived and was ready to bust the girls but Chloe and Amber explained that they gave them non-alcoholic beverages. Chance agreed to let them off the hook, provided they go right home afterward... Chloe flirted with Chance, but he backed off, explaining that he wouldn't "share" her with anyone, namely Billy.... Ashley arrived looking for Abby. Chance told her that he kicked out Abby and her friend for being underage.... Mac continued to be furious with Billy. Later, at the coffeehouse, Daisy flirted with Noah, to Eden's chagrin. Ashley finally found Abby and demanded that her daughter go home with her immediately.... After Mac shut down the bar, Daniel and Amber stuck around and enjoyed a private slow dance together.
Nick and Phyllis took Summer to Sharon's for Halloween. They were surprised when Adam answered the door and explained that he was visiting with Sharon. Nick was not pleased, which Phyllis noticed.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria read a letter from J.T., where he explained that he's accepting the job in New York and isn't sure they can fix their marriage.... Victor and Nikki made plans for Victor to go to a special cardiac clinic in Belgium. Nikki told him that the "J" and "B" words — Jack and Business — are off-limits, and that his primary concern would be getting strong. Victor agreed, but stated that Jack had better watch his step. Victoria arrived and said that she wants to resign. Victor insisted that she
and Nick run the company for him while he's away. Nikki suggested that Victoria take a leave of absence. Later, Victor summoned Adam and Nick to his hotel suite and informed them of Victoria's impending leave. Victor told Nick that he's leaving him in charge of the company and wants Adam to have more responsibilities. Nick promised not to let him down and Adam promised to behave.
Adam stopped by the tack house and asked Phyllis to convince Nick that he's harmless so Nick would back off of his friendship with Sharon. Phyllis just laughed at him and refused to get involved. Meanwhile, Nick asked Sharon why
she wants to be Adam's friend. She implored Nick to give his brother a break. Nick feared that Adam would hurt her, but Sharon didn't want Nick to be her protector.
A tipsy Billy visited Colleen's grave and spoke to his late niece about how his life was falling apart. He became emotional as he stated that he misses her. After, he went to the Chancellor Estate and impulsively kissed Chloe ... which Chance just happened to witness. Chloe backed away and said that she can't be Billy's consolation prize. Billy apologized and left.
Victoria caught up with J.T. at the airport so she could join him in New York.... Victor invited Nikki to come with him to Europe so they could enjoy the adventure together. Nikki happily agreed. "You and I can't live without each other, can we?" Victor said. "Obviously," she replied. "But isn't it lucky that we don't want to?" Nikki then gave him a gift — a new puppy that looked just like the late Zapato! Nikki and Victor declared their love for each other. He was grateful to have been given a second chance at life.
Tuesday
Lily noted that the kids who came to their house during Halloween took almost all of the candy she and Cane had put out for them. She then went on about how adorable the kids were. She and Cane began to get amorous, but were interrupted when Roxanne and Devon stopped by with some food. Cane and Lily subtly tried to get them to leave, but Devon and Roxy weren't taking the hint. Lily feigned being tired and they finally left. Cane scooped up Lily and carried her to the bedroom, where they made love.
At Fenmore's, Michael lamented to Lauren that he's not sure he could get the S.E.C. away from Newman Enterprises, thanks to Billy's exposé in Restless Style. Lauren wished she'd pulled all of her ads from the magazine before Billy took over.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey and Gloria received an eviction notice from Phyllis. Still, Gloria believed that Billy's article would lead to them getting their money back from the bank in the Cayman Islands. After, Michael joined his mom at Crimson Lights and agreed to pay their rent for a month. Gloria didn't want a handout; she wanted justice for Victor swindling them. She asked Michael to nudge the S.E.C. so they'd help the victims. Michael replied that he'd see if he could get any information, but wouldn't sabotage Victor. Gloria was confident that Michael wouldn't let them down.
At Jimmy's, Amber warned Mac that Billy has a tendency to be a jerk to people. After, Mac admitted to Billy that she's not sure if their relationship can ever be salvaged.... Amber went to Fenmore's, but felt badly that people weren't buying her clothes. Lauren offered her a job as a sales woman, which Amber eagerly accepted.
At Sharon's, Noah asked if she'd spent Halloween alone. She replied that she had a visitor and ended up having a nice time.... Nick went to work at Newman Enterprises and promised aloud that he'd make Victor proud, now that he was acting as boss. Adam arrived and Nick implored him to stay away from Sharon. Adam insisted that he and Sharon are just friends and that he'd never hurt her. Nick said that if Adam wants to continue to work at Newman, he's going to follow orders, and then arranged for his brother to go out of town on an assignment. Ashley then arrived and told Nick that she's keeping her seat on the Newman board. Nick noted that he wanted to take Newman in a whole, new direction. Ashley approved, but reminded him that Victor doesn't like change.... Michael stopped by Newman and warned Nick that thanks to Billy's article, the S.E.C. has latched onto the Cayman Bank issue. Nick asked how to make the problem go away; Michael explained that Newman would have to pay back all of the money Victor withdrew, plus interest. Later, Michael informed Gloria and Jeffrey that they'd be getting their money back. Gloria toasted to Billy.
Sharon found Billy at Jimmy's and quit Restless Style, explaining that his article hurt Noah and Abby. Billy argued that he didn't even mention them, but Sharon pointed out that they were still affected because of their ties to Victor. After, Sharon told Adam that she quit her job. Adam filled her in on how Nick demanded he stay away from Sharon.
At The Newman Ranch, Abby was cold toward Ashley. Ashley explained that she was worried about Abby hanging around in bars. Abby didn't want to hear it and was upset about Victor leaving town with Nikki. After, Abby and her new friend Daisy went to Crimson Lights, where they ran into Eden and Noah. Eden and Daisy clashed when Eden insinuated that Daisy's a rich snob. Daisy retorted that she's attending Walnut Grove on a scholarship. Abby then made fun of Eden's fashion sense. Later, Amber ran into Daisy at the coffeehouse and offered to help Daisy get a job at the boutique. Abby bristled when she overheard Eden say that Daisy is the last thing that Lauren needs. "You don't even know her," Abby pointed out. "Neither do you," said Eden. Daisy went to Fenmore's and buttered up Lauren by saying how gorgeous Lauren is and how wonderful Amber is. Daisy admitted that she doesn't have any retail experience, but assured Lauren that she learns quickly.... Lauren informed Billy that she's pulling all of Fenmore's ads from the magazine.... Daisy returned to the coffeehouse and happily told Amber that Lauren offered her the job. Ashley found Abby there and demanded that her daughter come home immediately. Abby was furious.
Nick sat in his office and sighed loudly as he worried about the company's future.... Sharon told Adam that she'd miss him while he was away.
Wednesday
After making love, Cane offered to get Lily breakfast, but she wanted him to stay in bed with her. She admitted that she's grown tired of being careful and having everyone ask her how she's feeling — and being "Lily, Cancer Patient." She added that for the past few days, she's been feeling like herself. Devon and Roxanne got cozy in the coffeehouse as they enjoyed hot chocolate. They planned to go see a concert together, but Devon wanted to check on Lily first. Roxy reminded him that Lily and Cane had just renewed their vows and probably wanted some alone time.
At the Chancellor Estate, Chloe proudly informed Chance that Billy kissed her, but she blew him off. She was a little surprised by Chance's (who'd spied the smooch) reserved reaction. He wasn't sure that she could really stay away from Billy. She was hurt that Chance didn't seem to care about her
standing her ground with her ex. Later, Chance stated that he really likes Chloe, but isn't sure she can move forward in her life. She noted that her life is messy right now and he can't seem to accept her for who she is.
Katherine wasn't pleased with Jill's press release announcing her return to Jabot, but Jill believed that it was necessary. Jill was surprised when Neil arrived at the office for their meeting about the company. Kay then revealed that she planned to take some of Chancellor Industries public. Jill and Neil were touched when Kay explained that she wanted them to benefit from the move since they're both family. Jill wondered why Kay really wanted to bring her in on this. Kay admitted that she wants to earn Jill's forgiveness. Kay added that though she's surrounded by loved ones, she still has a daughter somewhere and feels some emptiness by not knowing her.
Nina and Paul met for coffee at Crimson Lights. He lamented that Patty was still suffering from amnesia. However, he wasn't sure he wanted Patty to remember everything that had happened with Jack, Victor and Colleen, either. Nina questioned him about Emily; Paul noted that Emily and his sister seemed to share a strong bond. After, Phillip met up with Nina and they discussed Chance. He explained that he's making a point to not push his son to get to know him. Nina invited Phillip over to look at some old photo albums. They arrived, interrupting Chance and Chloe's argument. Phillip
planned to leave to give them some space; Chance called his father a coward for always running. "I had a father. His name is Ryan," Chance stated. Phillip was glad to be having such an honest discussion, but Chance didn't think that they would ever have a solid relationship.
Emily ran into Jack at the G.C.A.C. and was furious that Billy had included Patty in his exposé against Victor. Jack insisted that he was against Billy writing the article, but Em didn't buy it. Jack accused her of judging him before getting to know him. Em still wasn't interested in hearing his side of the story in regards to Patty. Paul interrupted them; before Jack left, he asked Paul to let him know if he could do anything for Patty. After, Paul implored Emily to stay in town for Patty's sake, but she refused, explaining that her job back home was important to her. She promised not to let Patty fall through the cracks. Later, she got a call from a medic named Dr. Lambert, who offered her a job as the dean of psychiatry at Genoa City University. She was intrigued until she heard that his outreach program is funded by the Abbotts.
Neil met up with Devon at the coffeehouse and was pleased to see that things were going well between his son and Roxy. Neil asked if Devon had seen Lily; he replied that Cane was taking care of her. Neil had doubts that Cane and Lily's relationship would last.... Lily and Cane went to the bookstore and enjoyed a day out.... Devon revealed to Neil that he intends to pursue a career in music.... Later, Neil visited Cane and Lily and was visibly uncomfortable as his daughter and Cane kissed and snuggled. Lily informed him that she and Cane had renewed their vows. Neil reluctantly gave them his blessing and said that he's happy for them.
Jack informed Jill that he's pulling the plug on one of her projects. She argued that sales were up, but agreed to trust his instincts. He became suspicious that something was up. Kay denied that anything was going on, but Jack vowed to get to the truth.... Jill asked Paul to find Katherine's real daughter.
Thursday
Lily and Cane were relieved that Neil took the news of them renewing their vows so well. They invited Neil for dinner, which Lily intended to cook. Neil feared that she was taking on too much. Later, Lily began to feel faint. Cane felt her forehead and noted that she had a fever, but she brushed it off as not being serious. Cane took her to the hospital, where
she told the chemo nurse that she's been having stomach cramps. The nurse confirmed that she had a high fever.
At the Chancellor Estate, Chloe told Chance that he bottles up everything inside and tends to over-think stuff. Nina interrupted them and said that she was glad that he finally said something to Phillip. Chance thought it was too late to forge a relationship with his father.
Paul and Jill met at the G.C.A.C. Jill asked him to find Katherine's daughter for her, but not tell Kay about her request. Kay ran into them at the club and they lied that they were talking about their kids. Jill left with Kay so they could meet with Neil at the office. At the meeting, they discussed Kay's plan to sell Chancellor's stock. Neil believed that Jack would want to buy shares so he could control Jabot. Kay warned them not to underestimate how shrewd Jack is.
Nina and Paul dined at the club. Nina told Paul about Chance's blow-up at Phillip and asked how Paul managed to have a relationship with Heather as an adult. He admitted that it was challenging and is still a little rocky. He called walking away from Heather the biggest mistake he ever made. "What I try to do now is to just be there for her when she lets me," he said. He advised Nina not to expect too much, too fast. She feared that Phillip would walk out on his son again and confided that she's been reluctant to write about her family's story in her screenplay about Kay's life. She wondered where Kay's daughter was.
At Jimmy's, Billy took a business call from a client who didn't want to be associated with Restless Style. Mac looked on sympathetically and apologized for yelling at him earlier. After, Billy met with his staff in the bar and announced that even though they were working out of a bar instead of an office, they'd be successful at putting together the magazine. Mac encouraged him to use the magazine for something positive, such as doing a profile on an everyday hero. Billy liked the idea and even wanted to put the hero on the cover. Later, Chance stopped by the bar to pick up sandwiches and was surprised to see Chloe there. He was suspicious about her being there with Billy, as well as her explanation that she was there for work.
Chloe found Nina at the club and told her that she thinks what happened between Phillip and Chance was a breakthrough. Nina didn't even want to speak with her. Chloe implored Nina to give her a chance, noting that Nina herself has changed since she was younger. Paul chuckled, comparing Nina's reactions to Chloe to the way Jill used to treat Nina. He believed that Chloe sincerely cared for Chance.
At Crimson Lights, Jack ran into Emily. She informed him that she received a job offer in Genoa City, which she assumed that Jack was behind. He confirmed this and she told him that she's not for sale. Jack insisted that he's not playing games with her, explaining that he never meant to hurt Patty. "Regardless of what you think, I care a great deal what happens to Patty," he said, "and I happen to think you can help her in ways no one else can. And if you have a problem with my doing everything I can to see that that happens, too bad." He further added that he had no say over who the university decided to hire. Later, Dr. Lambert called to see if she was interested in the job. As she was on the phone, Billy and Chance arrived. Billy was frantic about "Patty" being there. Chance went to arrest her, but Jack stopped him, explaining that Emily isn't Patty. Chance called the psych hospital to check things out and apologized to Emily. Emily bristled when Billy called Patty "one sick puppy" and accused him of exploiting her patient in the magazine. Billy argued that he was just telling the truth.
After, Chance overheard Billy trying to book a conference room at the club and realized that Chloe wasn't lying about working out of the bar. He called Chloe and left her a voice mail, apologizing. Chloe arrived and accepted his apology.... Mac and Billy forgot about their earlier argument and enjoyed some time alone at the bar.
Cane called Neil and let him know that Lily was at the hospital. Neil rushed over there, where the doctors and Cane were tending to Lily. The doctor informed Neil and Cane that Lily was reacting badly to her chemo and had an infection. Lily feared that she was going to die. The doctor stated that
they needed to bring her fever down. Cane sat with her and tried to keep her calm.... When Jill stated her concerns about Cane handling Lily's illness, Kay noted that Jill thought of Cane like a son. The women acknowledged that they didn't have to be blood relations to be family. Neil then called Jill
and reported that Lily's infection was getting worse. Cane found a private corner of the hospital and broke down crying.
Friday
Upon learning that Neil contacted several investment bankers on behalf of Chancellor Industries, Jack assumed Katherine was trying to raise cash and offered to buy Jabot from her. When she turned him down, Jack guessed that she was taking her company public but Kay remained mum.
As Chance and Chloe were bonding at Crimson Lights, Phillip and Nina interrupted them for a talk. Chloe skedaddled, and Chance apologized for his earlier outburst. Phillip encouraged him to be honest about his feelings.
Ashley expressed her disappointment to Billy for his articles on the
Newmans. "I believed in you," huffed Ash. "That's the only reason why I lent you the money to buy Restless Style." Billy tried to change Nick's mind on booting the mag out of the Newman-owned building but Nick wasn't interested. Later, Nick shared with Victoria that he's leaning toward settling with the investors in the Cayman bank fiasco to save their company's reputation.
After Cane pulled himself together, he and Neil were surprised to meet Emily, who was there to offer counseling. Emily was introduced to Lily and the gals had a heart-to-heart about her cancer. Jill, Mac, Kay, Murphy, Nina and Phillip all arrived to lend Neil and Cane their support. Everyone was relieved when Lily's infection was beaten; Cane and Neil even hugged.
Jack suggested to Ashley that they buy up as many shares of Chancellor as they can so they will have the leverage on the board of directors to get back Jabot. Ashley refused to get involved and Jack hoped she would change her mind. Later, Ashley made a secret call. "I want to get in position now to buy as much Chancellor stock as I can," she informed someone on the other
end.
With the threat of eviction hanging over them, Gloria and Jeffrey fretted how to raise cash to pay the rent. Jeff suggested they stage a robbery at Crimson Lights, since Kevin in insured. Gloria nixed it but a knife-wielding man later showed up at the coffeehouse and demanded money. Chance tried to intervene and was stabbed. Murphy called Chance's cell and a horrified Gloria answered. "The man you called ... he's just been stabbed!" Glo screamed.
Chloe brought the divorce papers to Billy and she signed them.... Michael called Gloria with the news that Newman would reimburse the money they lost in the bank closure. "God bless the S.E.C.," cheered Jeff.... Emily met Jack for a drink. After, he surprised her with a kiss... The news of Chance's stabbing shocked Nina, Phillip, Jill and Kay.... Cane was thrown when Lily
wanted to start a family right away. They were surprised when Mac volunteered to be their surrogate.
