Monday
Agents placed Emily under arrest and took her away. Michael met Jack and Emily at the police station and informed them that Patty wrote prescriptions under Emily's name, and Emily is being blamed. Emily was placed in a holding cell while Jack left to address Ashley's urgent messages. Michael assured Emily she'll be exonerated.
The gang at Rafe's party reeled after Abby showed them the video of Victoria and Billy's wedding. Chloe slapped Billy, while JT sneered that Vicky was a bad influence and didn't deserve to ever see Reed. Billy confronted Abby: How could she do that to her own sister? A smug Abby patted herself on the back to Kent, saying the cameras were still rolling.
Victor, Nikki, Sharon, Phyllis and Nick filled Ashley in on their theory that Adam is alive. DA Pomerantz arrived. They filled him in on Adam donating his bone marrow to Hightower, dressing like Hightower at the ball, all the phone calls, and Adam's large withdrawal from his bank account the night of his "murder." Jack arrived. Nikki pointed out the similar height and coloring of Adam and Hightower. Victor asserted that Adam's DNA was in Hightower because of the transplant — they want another DNA test. "Adam is dead and buried," refused the DA. "So dig him up!" ordered Jack. The DA listed all the crimes of the various Newmans in the room and said they think they are above the law. Not only is he not digging Adam up, he is moving Nick's trial date UP. "Get your pompous ass out of here now," ordered Victor. "Well, that did not go well," stated Jack.
Vicky checked her voicemail and found a ton of messages from her family asking her to come to an urgent meeting at the ranch. Billy got the same request on his phone from Ashley. They must know we're married! rued the newlyweds. They headed for the ranch while debating their strategy — Vicky didn't think "island fever" was going to cut it. Nikki met them at the door and filled them in on the Adam theory. "That's what this is about?" said a relieved Vicky. The Newmans and Abbotts discussed how to stay safe if Adam is on the loose.
JT and Mac commiserated about their exes getting secretly married. They consoled themselves by making out and agreed to spend the night together holding each other.
Chloe fretted to Chance that Victoria was Delia's new stepmother. Chance asked if she was upset about Delia, or about Billy moving on.
Heather went to the police station and got an earful from Pomerantz about the Newmans. Victor called Michael Baldwin and filled him in on the goings-on. Michael said it could take months for a court order to dig up Adam's body. Heather asked Michael if Adam could really be alive. Yes, he replied. She offered to help him unofficially with the case.
Billy and Victoria went home, breathing a sigh of relief that their families are still in the dark about their marriage. They fooled around to celebrate.
Victor flashed back to his argument with Adam at the hospital, when Adam threatened to pay back Victor and Nick for their "kangaroo court" at the cabin. Victor told Nikki not to worry — Michael will help them prove Nick's innocence.
Abby was served with legal papers saying she can't use any footage of Victor or Ashley. She stormed over to the Newman ranch, papers in hand. "How could you have me served?" she demanded. "You are out of line," boomed Victor. "I'm out of line? Why don't you go pick on Victoria for marrying Billy Abbott?" WHA-AT? stammered Victor.
Tuesday
Ashley reiterated to Abby that she is in charge of Abby's trust, and a court case will just make the family look bad. Why pick on me when Billy and Victoria are the ones causing the scandal by getting married in Jamaica? asked Abby. WHAT? responded Ashley. Abby pointed out that Ashley gave Billy the money for Restless Style and she is way more mature than he is. Ash gave her daughter a lovely speech about how special she is and how she doesn't need this Naked Heiress fiasco. Abby didn't bite - she's going to court.
Billy and Victoria enjoyed post-romp coffee and discussed that it was the right thing not tell their families about their wedding. Vicky said she had to get to the ranch to break it to them. Billy offered to accompany her so he can see the look on Victor's face when he finds out. Knock, knock, it's Victor at the door — and there is the face! "What were you thinking marrying this idiot?" demanded Victor. Victor said her marriage will jeopardize her custody case, but Vicky retorted that she wouldn't have lost Reed in the first place if Daddy hadn't interfered. "Pack your things and let's go," ordered Victor. "You're out of control." "Out of YOUR control," retorted Billy. Victor asserted that Billy is just using Victoria to get back at the Newmans. "No, I'm in love with your daughter," blurted Billy. Victor charged, made a crack about leaving Billy's teeth on the floor, and stormed out. Did you mean it? asked Vicky. No, hedged Billy, saying Vicky didn't exactly stick up for him either.
Emily thanked Michael for getting her released from prison. Emily and Jack updated Paul on her troubles with the law and asked him to find out who wrote the fraudulent prescriptions on Emily's pad. Paul promised to go see Patty and get answers for Emily.
Nick went to meet with Patty. He asked her about Hightower but she hedged. Nick laid out Adam's evil plan to frame him and Patty said he can't go to jail — who will keep Phyllis away from Jack? They need two Nicks — just like there were two Laurens and two Adams. "Where did you see the second Adam?" asked a shocked Nick. Before she could answer, Patty spied Phyllis and flipped out.
Victor showed Ashley the video of Billy and Victoria's drunken wedding. Ash asked Victor to find a way to talk TO his daughters instead of AT them. They headed for the courthouse.
Rafe asked Abby to let him do the talking at the hearing. A guard showed up to search Abby's purse since she dodged the security gate. He found a camera in her bag and confiscated it. To Abby's delight, Kent showed up sporting Poindexter glasses with a camera hidden inside.
Jack drove Emily back to the GCAC where a fax was waiting for her informing her that the Psychological Association had suspended her license because of her arrest. There was also a bill she couldn't pay. Move back to the house, pleaded Jack. He offered her the poolhouse, promising to clean the cat hair. Emily accepted, on the condition that she pay him rent when she is back on her feet. Jack promised to earn back Emily's trust.
Vicky got locked in Billy's bathroom while she was getting ready. She begged her to get him out but he said he wanted to leave her in there because she is mean. They bantered through the door as he worked to free her. Billy apologized for yanking Victor's chain and took back that he said he loves her. Disappointed, Vicky left.
At the hearing, Victor showed Michael the Jamaica video. Michael said it showed clear grounds for intoxication which bodes well for an annulment. Rafe began his opening argument as Abby shot Kent a look. "Excuse me, your honor," interrupted the heiress, ignoring Rafe's warning. Abby gave the judge her business plan. The judge chastised Abby for having no greater aspirations than creating a spectacle. The judge ruled for Victor and Ashley, if only to "protect her eyeballs" from Abby's future antics. "I'm totally appealing," said the spoiled brat.
Paul showed up to talk to Patty and found her sedated. The doctor explained that she had an outburst. Paul pressed Patty on the prescription pad, and she said "brother." "Yes, I'm your brother," responded Paul.
Vicky returned with a new doorknob, but Billy wasn't interested — the old one has sentimental value. In fact, he's going to have it engraved "Victoria Newman was here." For someone who doesn't love me… mused Vicky. Billy said he's not worth the trouble but Vicky saw through his protestions and said, "Let's make that ‘Victoria Abbott was here.'" They sealed it with a kiss.
Post hearing, Michael informed Rafe, Victor and Ashley that there is a law in Jamaica that weddings aren't legal after 8 pm, so Victoria and Billy aren't legally married. Victor left to meet Nick and Phyllis. Phyllis reminded Nick that the DA won't believe the "two Adams" story since it came from a mental patient, and he won't help them exhume Hightower's body. They updated Victor on the new info from Patty. "I will dig up that body myself if I have to," vowed Victor.
Wednesday
Katherine suspected that Jill asked her to have lunch at the GCAC so she could spy on Tucker. "Preposterous," retorted Jill. Katherine worried that Jill was doing an expose on Tucker and asked her not to do anything else to ruin Katherine's relationship with her son.
Tucker phoned JT and asked how the spying on Newman Enterprises was going. Ashley joined Tucker for lunch, where they discussed acquiring Beauty of Nature from Newman. Tucker thinks Victor bribed someone at the Japanese parent company to get control. If so, they can take it from Victor. "Blackmail him?" asked Ash. "Persuade," downplayed Tucker. Ashley wanted no part of it. Tucker suggested Ashley use Abby's holdings inherited from Brad to take over Beauty of Nature. Jill muscled in on Tucker and Ashley's lunch. "If you're looking for work…" cracked Tucker. Jill left. Tucker pressed again about Beauty of Nature, but Ashley said it crossed a line for her. "If you think I'm getting involved in any of your dodgy schemes, we're going to have a big problem," pronounced Ashley.
Chloe and Mac discussed Billy's wedding. Chloe insisted she was just put out because she likes to know the gossip first — but isn't Mac upset? No — Mac and Billy were never meant to be. Chloe tried to convince Mac (and herself) that she is happy with Chance. She wondered if Billy and Victoria are really in love. Mac said they'll have to wait and see.
Victoria asked Billy to consider buying one more towel and going shopping. "That's why I got married. My wife can do it," he quipped. Billy's phone rang. It was Rafe, telling them they aren't legally married. The local law in Jamaica decrees that marriages after 8 pm aren't legal. How odd, commented Victoria. "That's no odder than the law in Wisconsin that you can't serve apple pie without cheese," said Billy. "Did you just make that up?" asked Vicky. Since Victor already knew they aren't married, they wouldn't have to tell him. But Vicky needed to tell JT, "and I'm going to see Chloe before her head explodes," said Billy.
JT dropped in on Victoria, ranting about where Reed was going to sleep in her "spacious" new living quarters. Vicky shut him down with the news that the marriage wasn't legal. "You don't get it," sneered JT. "It's your judgment." Vicky accused JT of punishing her, then got a work call and stepped out. JT pulled out a device to snoop on her computer. Vicky came back and asked for increased visitation with Reed. JT said they'd discuss it when they've cooled down.
Billy told Chloe he's not legally married because of the Jamaica law. "Oh, those wacky Jamaicans," eye rolled Chloe. Next time he wants to give his daughter a stepmother, think first, she advised. "Somebody's jealous," gloated Billy. They fought over which one is more irresponsible (Chloe trapping Cane into marriage, etc.) and then Billy played with Delia. Chloe lectured him on drunken marriages as Esther eavesdropped. Billy left, and Chloe told her mom the story of Billy's Jamaican adventure. Esther pleaded Billy's case to Chloe: He's a good father. Let it go.
Cane smiled at a text from Lily in France. A package arrived with her Last Will and Testament. He took it over to Mac's bar and asked her to look at it. Turned out Lily wanted Cane and Mac to raise her babies if she doesn't make it. "Why did she go behind my back and do this?" asked Cane. Mac speculated that Lily didn't want to argue.
Katherine raced to Mac's bar after getting a call from her granddaughter. Mac confided that she never considered RAISING Cane and Lily's babies, just giving birth to them. "Are you trying to tell me you would not want to help if Lily doesn't survive?" Of course she would. Katherine and Mac prayed that Lily gets well.
Jill stopped in to see Cane and he showed her Lily's Will. "Joint custody with Mackenzie?" stammered Jill. Cane worried that Lily thinks she is not going to make it. Jill responded that Lily has to face the facts about her illness, and was wise to pick Mac. Lily called Cane from the hospital and said she is hopeful. She asked why he called. Cane covered that he just wanted to hear her voice.
Billy went home to find a dejected Victoria on the couch. She updated him on her confrontation with JT, while he did the same about getting chastised by Chloe. Billy offered her a beer to celebrate the end of their non-marriage. Vicky said she should go. They shook hands. "Goodbye, Mrs. Abbott," he said. "Bye, Mr. Newman," she responded.
JT found Tucker at the club as Ashley was leaving. He told his boss he decided not to go through with spying on Victoria. Most people would kill for the opportunity Tucker has given JT! "I'm not one of them," retorted JT. "I like that kid," smiled Tucker to himself. After Tucker left, Jill walked over and removed a microphone she had hidden under their table. "Gotcha," she hissed.
Thursday
Jack asked Emily out to dinner. She hedged, citing her fear of running into angry former patients. He offered to do impressions of "The Mustache" to cheer her up. Victor rang the bell: "Speak of the devil!" Victor asked Jack to help him dig up Adam's grave.
Phyllis, Nick, Sharon and Michael discussed digging up Adam's grave (against Michael's advice). Michael relayed the info that a cab driver picked up a fare the night of the ball who kept his mask on the entire ride. He dropped the man off by a cornfield on Highway 53, which was the second pay phone used to call the cell phone. Jack and Victor joined them. "Just don't get caught," sighed Michael. Victor, Jack and Nick left. Michael warned Nick's wives that this could all blow up in their faces. The wives decided to investigate the cornfield.
Kevin left Jana a message but she was busy visiting Ryder in jail. Ryder thanked Jana for the Zen book she gave him. Jana is grateful that Ryder helped her and Lauren escape, and would like to do more. Jana went to Crimson Lights and told Kevin about her visit, saying Ryder deserves to be free. "You've got to be kidding me," responded Kevin. Jana pleaded Ryder's case, saying these are the first emotions she has felt since her aneurysm. Annoyed, Kevin excused himself.
Lauren had flashbacks of Sarah trying to kill her. She screamed, and threw a paperweight at the mirror, shattering it. Michael came home too find his wife in pieces, as well. "Sarah's here," she hyperventilated. Michael talked Lauren into seeing a shrink and called Emily, who said she can't legally practice but agreed to help Lauren as a friend. Lauren confided that she fears she is losing her mind. They commiserated about their shared doppelgangers. Emily said they have to fight to get their lives back, adding that Lauren feels like she's disappearing, she has to hold on to her husband and her son. Lauren and Michael thanked Emily for her help. "I feel better," smiled Lauren, who then accompanied Michael to go get Fen.
Phyllis and Sharon discovered a pay phone at the cornfield. Who could Adam have been calling? asked Sharon. "The Children of the Corn," quipped Phyllis. Sharon found a mask just like the one Adam and Hightower were wearing the night of the ball. They discussed the irony of being on the same team. Does Phyllis ever regret telling Nick and Sharon the truth about Faith? No — Phyllis trusts her husband.
Victor, Nick and Jack started digging as someone watched through binoculars. The Newman family dentist, Dr. Gleason, showed up to help ID the body. They opened the coffin. Dr. Gleason took an impression of the teeth and left. "We may have scarred that dude for life," remarked Nick. Nick spoke to Phyllis and was not pleased to hear she and Sharon were alone in a cornfield. Phyllis told him about the mask but the call was cut off. Nick relayed the mask info to his fellow grave diggers.
Jana met with a man and took out a loan. The man returned to give copies of the loan agreement to Kevin. What the…? wondered Kevin. Jana turned up at the jail and used the money to bail Ryder out.
DA Pomerantz interrupted the grave diggers and placed them all under arrest. Victor informed the DA that they are comparing dental records, which will make him look like a "damn fool" if it's Hightower in that grave.
Phyllis and Sharon went to leave, but a low-flying plane started dumping some kind of mist over the cornfield. Phyllis hid in a cabin while Sharon lay in the cornfield, coughing. "You have to get out of there," ordered Phyllis. "That stuff's poison!"
Friday
Nick, Jack and Victor pleaded their case to Pomerantz, but he said they needed a court order to dig up the body and was placing them under arrest.
Phyllis found Sharon in the cornfield gagging from the pesticides from the airplane. Phyllis's phone was dead, so she dug Sharon's phone out of her pocket. Phyllis begged Sharon to open her eyes — "Who's going to make my life miserable if you die?"
Chloe was annoyed that the waitress got her complicated coffee drink order wrong. Chance suggested she might be high maintenance. Heather interrupted to discuss whether Frank Ellis was paid to attack Nick in jail, thus getting Nick released. The DA wants Heather to investigate, so she asked Chance to accompany her to the jail to question Ellis. Chloe was not pleased.
Kevin went to the jail and learned Jana used the money she borrowed to bail Ryder out of jail.
Michael and Lauren took Fen to dinner. Michael's phone rang: "Can't the Newmans stay out of trouble for 24 hours?" Michael left to deal with their arrest, leaving Lauren alone with Fen to freak out when Jana walked in with Ryder. Jana explained that she posted Ryder's bail. Kevin raced in, demanding Jana explain how she could have used their emergency loan money to bail out the man who tried to kill her. "I guess I'm not the Jana you knew," she monotoned. Kevin said he gets that Jana is disconnected, but she is acting like a whole different person. How is helping someone not me? asked Jana, The part that doesn't give a damn about how Kevin feels, he retorted. Jana confessed she doesn't love Kevin anymore. Kevin did a shot at the bar and stomped out.
At the jail, the grave diggers discussed their worry for Phyllis and Sharon, and how they were not answering their phones. Michael got them released pending the results of the dental records. If it's Adam in that grave, rued Michael, we're screwed.
Kevin stormed into Mac's bar and found Chloe drinking alone. He ordered a shot and a beer and started drinking heavily. Chloe recounted Kevin's faithfulness to Jana through everything and asked him if he would cheat (citing her worries about Chance and Heather). Kevin responded that if you have trust, you have nothing to worry about. Does Kevin think Heather is pretty? Yeah, said Kevin. Chloe trashed Heather's clothes, shoes and knock-off bag, prompting Kevin to ask if all pretty girls were this insecure. An increasingly drunk Kevin laid out the whole Jana/Ryder deal and declared he is done banging his head against the wall. Chloe called a taxi for Kevin.
Heather and Chance visited Frank Ellis in jail, saying they might cut him a deal if he admits he was paid to rough up Nick Newman. Frank said he's got nothing on the Newmans, but knows plenty about Brent Riggs calling Chance, planting drugs on him and turning up dead. How do you know about all that? asked a stunned Chance. "He's bluffing," said Heather. Frank said he'll spill the rest if they get him out of jail.
Lauren arranged for someone to pick up Fen and confronted Jana. "Do you know how hard it was for me to come here tonight?" she demanded. Sorry, said Robot Jana. Lauren can't believe that her own sister in law bailed Ryder out. Jana insisted Lauren is safe — Ryder is a good person who helped them. "No, I helped you!" cried Lauren, adding the warning that Ryder is the son of Tom and Sheila.
Nick found Phyllis and Sharon in the cornfield and carried Sharon out. They took her to the hospital, where a doctor explained she has poison in her lungs. Sharon's condition could be fatal. Jack doesn't think the crop duster spraying them was a coincidence. Victor will have Michael investigate who owns the farm.
Heather and Chance went to Crimson Lights to discuss Frank's claims. Chance asked Heather to discuss making a deal with Frank with the DA. Chloe showed up to steal Chance back. She gave him a speech about how love is hard to come by and she regrets saying no to his marriage proposal. "Will you marry me?" asked Chloe.
Michael showed up at the hospital with the man who was flying the crop duster. Victor showed the man a photo of Adam and asked if he knows him. The man hedged and said he needed a glass of water. Michael's phone rang — it WAS Hightower's body in Adams grave! The man returned, and admitted that Adam hired him to fly him to Ottawa. The DA approached and said he was filing new charges against Nick for killing Richard Hightower. "Don't leave town," ordered Pomerantz. "He's the one I should kill," muttered Nick. Victor demanded that the crop duster man take him to the exact spot he took Adam. Sharon woke up with tubes down her throat to Nick holding her hand, as Phyllis and Jack looked on.
A drunk Kevin went back to the GCAC and told Jana he's through. He'll never stop loving her, but it's time to end their marriage. The Jana he knew is gone, and he needs to let her go. If she could feel her heart, Jana said, she knows it would be breaking. "If you could feel your heart," Kevin retorted, "we wouldn't be having this conversation." Ryder told Lauren he is sorry about everything. Lauren spit that she's not afraid of him anymore. Jana checked Ryder in to the GCAC, pronouncing he has spent too many nights in jail.
Heather got in her car and discovered a bomb. She tried to get out, but the door was locked.
