Monday
Ashley freaked out when she received a package from "Jane Smith," which
contained the severed head of the baby on the Sabrina statue. Victor asked
Adam if he'd sent it, but Adam denied it and blamed Estella. After, Victor
spoke with Adam alone and Adam continued to insist that he wasn't
terrorizing Ashley. He challenged his father to find one piece of evidence
against him, but Victor couldn't. Adam stated that when the truth comes out,
he's going to want an apology. Victor quietly left his room.... Nikki
brought Ashley tea and tried to calm her down. Ashley felt as if she were
being haunted by Sabrina's ghost. Nikki was sure that Adam was behind the
"hauntings." Rafe and Estella soon came by and Nikki filled them in on the
incident. Victor asked them to stay for when the police arrived.
At the morgue, Nina freaked out when Phillip III's coffin was opened and
there were sandbags inside.... Cane continued to leave more desperate
messages for Langley.... Jill and Katherine anxiously waited to hear from
Nina. Kay was shocked when they got word that there was no body in the
coffin.... In Jimmy's, Cane opened his safe and took out a huge wad of cash.
As he did so, he thought back to his wedding vows with Lily. Lily joined him
and they got all lovey-dovey.
Billy spied Mackenzie on the Crimson Lights patio and offered the barista a
certain amount of money if she could keep the patio closed for a "private
party." Billy joined Mac and asked why they couldn't be friends and "have a
few laughs." She smiled and took a seat at his table. They reminisced about
their past, including when Mac had been named prom queen. They then shared a
dance, but as soon as they got close, Mac pulled away.
Paul and Nina returned to the Chancellor Estate and discussed the Phillip
III situation with Jill and Kay. Jill continued to defend Cane, to Nina's
astonishment. Paul then got a call from the morgue and learned that a body
hadn't been taken from the casket; there was never a body in the coffin,
period. Kay feared that the body had been stolen for organs. Nina noted that
the DNA test proving Phillip wasn't Jill's son had never really happened;
she implored Jill to get Cane to take another test and continued to insist
that he's an impostor.... Cane and Lily enjoyed dinner together at the bar.
They were interrupted when Cane received a frantic call from Jill. Jill went
to the bar and told Cane that she's proud to have him as her son. She then
reluctantly asked him to take another DNA test. Lily was annoyed with Nina
for harassing Cane, but Jill noted that proving his identity would get Nina
off his back for good. Cane agreed without hesitation.... Nina wondered if
Kay's memories about switching the babies had been planted in her head. Kay
didn't believe that Cane could've faked two DNA tests and moved Phillip's
body.... Lily assured Cane that she'll love him regardless of whether he's
proven to be a Chancellor.... Nina became hysterical at the idea of losing
Phillip again. Kay promised her that they'd get to the bottom of it. Jill
returned home and smugly told Nina that Cane was more than willing to take
the test.
Detective Wallace arrived at the Newman Ranch and examined the baby head
from the statue. Adam listened from his monitor upstairs. "I want this
torment to end today," Victor insisted. "And so it begins," Adam said to
himself. Downstairs, Estella was furious when Victor insinuated that Rafe
could be responsible for the prank. Victor asked Estella to have her
fingerprints taken; she agreed to do whatever she had to to prove her
innocence. Nikki begged Victor to leave Estella alone. Victor returned to
Adam's room and informed him that a fingerprint had been found on the
package box. "Lucky for me, my prints are already in the system for
comparison," Adam coldly said. Victor noted that his son wasn't even
nervous. Later, Estella's prints were found to match the ones on the box.
Estella believed that the person who's really doing these things used one of
the boxes she'd touched to package the head. She and Ashley then got into an
argument with Estella stating that Ashley could never replace Nikki or
Sabrina. Nikki defended Estella, but Victor kicked her out. Estella was then
arrested as Adam looked on. Rafe ended his term as Adam's lawyer and vowed
to find out who is setting up his aunt.
At the bar, Cane pulled out a vial of blood marked "Langley." He called his
uncle and assured him that he was doing what he had to do.
Tuesday
J.T. disagreed with Victoria's decision to go to work, given that she was still recovering from her head injury, but she insisted on getting out of bed. She realized that it would've been Victor and Sabrina's anniversary. J.T. urged her not to again help Aucker in bringing down the forged art ring because it was too dangerous. After, Victoria admitted to J.T. that after everything that happened between her and Sabrina, she didn't think that her father entirely trusted her.
Dr. Taylor paid a "pregnant" Ashley a visit at the Newman Ranch and lied that the baby was doing well. Meanwhile, Adam told Victor that he didn't want to see Dr. Donahue. Victor couldn't understand why his son didn't want to do everything he could to get his eyesight fixed. Dr. Taylor interrupted them to share the "good news" about Ashley. After Victor stepped out of Adam's room, Adam asked Taylor if he brought the Botox for him. The doc warned Adam that he could truly damage his eyes if he keeps injecting Botox into them. Still, Adam was desperate into fooling Dr. Donahue into thinking he's blind.... Ashley realized it was Victor and Sabrina's anniversary; she planned to go to the spa for the day so that Victor could have some time to himself. Victor later visited the Sabrina statue and said good-bye to her. He decided to have the sculpture removed from the grounds.
Sharon and Nick prepared to search for a new home. Sharon became emotional as she thought of all the things she's lost, especially Cassie. Nick promised her that she wasn't going to lose him. After, they looked up potential houses. Sharon was surprised that such a home had such small bedrooms. She noted that between them, they have two families and needed the room for all of the kids. Nick hoped he wouldn't leave anyone behind, as he felt Victor often did with all of his kids. Sharon wanted a home that was warm and cozy with a big kitchen. Nick found a home with five bedrooms and a bonus room. Sharon was impressed with the yard. Nick noted that the bonus room could be a nursery for baby Faith. Sharon was curious about the name; he explained that it was the name of their daughter in the dream he had in which Cassie visited him. Both liked the second house so Nick called the realtor so they could see it in person. Sharon later reminded Nick that her baby might not be his, but he was convinced that it was.
At the courthouse, Phyllis, Kevin and Amber joined Michael as they waited for Daniel and Jana's bail hearings to begin. Michael was cautiously optimistic that the judge would rule on their side. Heather took the floor for the opposition and requested to the judge that their bail be denied. Michael then asked that their bail be granted. Kevin wished Daniel had
looked out for Jana, but Jana defended Romalotti. Phyllis was aghast when Heather reminded the court of Daniel's trial for vehicular manslaughter, especially since he'd been found innocent. Heather pointed out that Daniel had tried to jump bail back then and could do it again. Daniel was granted bail at $1 million, which Phyllis offered to pay. Now it was time for Jana's hearing. Of course, Heather reminded the court that Jana had murdered Carmen. Michael pointed out that Balfour threatened Jana. The judge denied Jana bail. Kevin was devastated. Amber was determined to find out who really
killed Balfour and took the money.... Phyllis asked Nick for Daniel's bail money. He readily agreed to give it to her. Nick then asked if he could speak with Daniel and remind him not to leave town like the last time. Phyllis angrily pointed out that the last time, Nick drove Daniel out of Genoa City.
Victoria paid Victor a visit at the ranch. As Adam eavesdropped, Victor confessed that he sometimes feels as if the house is haunted and felt that it was time to let Sabrina go. Victoria was angry that he wanted to erase her from his life. Victor insisted that he wasn't going to stop thinking about Sabrina, but now had a life with Ashley. She was cold toward Ashley when Ash returned. Victor let Victoria take the portrait of Sabrina, which she planned to hang in her
and J.T.'s home. At home, she groused to J.T. about how Victor wanted to forget Sabrina. She became upset when J.T. challenged her and asked if he'd really said that.
Victor promised Ashley that he was going to give her and the baby all of his attention.... Adam knocked the vial of Botox to the floor and it smashed to smithereens.... Someone informed an unidentifiable man that Daniel was able to make bail. The man was obviously not happy with the news and he threw down his drink, shattering the glass.
Wednesday
Ashley arrived at Restless Style looking for Abby, who was there for a cover photo shoot. Abby entered the room and was happy to see her mom. Ashley was surprised to see Abby's bright makeup and enormous hair. Noah arrived in his outrageous clothing for the shoot, commenting that he felt like a "dork." Before beginning the shoot, Abby asked Ashley to be careful around the house even though Estella had been arrested. Ashley reassured her and sent her on her way. After the shoot, Fashion Editor George was very enthusiastic about how everything had gone. Abby and Noah discussed his current living arrangements. He confided in Abby that he was thinking of "divorcing" his parents so that he could live wherever he wanted. Abby sympathized with Noah about being "bounced around" but expressed to him that he would be miserable without his family. She asked him if he really could see himself living in a shabby one-bedroom apartment and subsisting on Ramen noodles. "This was all Eden's idea, wasn't it?" she spat, as Eden entered Restless Style. "If Noah should be emancipated from anyone, it's YOU!" she screamed at Eden. As Abby got on the elevator to leave, she told Noah he was making a huge mistake that he would regret.
Michael and Kevin visited Jana in jail and discussed a plan to get her out on bail. Kevin had come directly from speaking at an assembly at the high school about his experiences as the Silver Chipmunk and how he had become a better person. Michael instructed Kevin, who was eager to help Jana, to ask his "Chipmunk followers" to write letters of support to the judge on Jana's behalf. Although Kevin didn't think it was a good idea to bring his past misdeeds to light, Michael disagreed, saying that it was their best strategy. After Michael left to meet with Daniel, Jana confided to Kevin that she was extremely sad to be in jail again and to not be wearing her wedding ring. He assured her that they would do anything it took to get her out.
At the coffeehouse, Daniel and Amber discussed ways to clear his and Jana's names. Amber suggested making a "grudge list" — a list of all the people from his past that might want to see him crash and burn. Initially, Daniel couldn't think of anyone who hated him enough to set him up for murder, but then he remembered an old enemy, Alex. Michael and Kevin arrived, and Daniel apologized to Kevin about what had happened to Jana. Kevin forgave him and pledged to join him and Amber in trying to figure out who could have set Daniel up. Kevin was surprised to hear the name Alex again after so many years had passed. He doubted that Alex had the brainpower to pull of such a complicated operation. Additionally, he reminded them that Gloria still had incriminating security camera footage of him. Just then, a group of high school girls came up to Kevin after recognizing him as the speaker from their assembly that morning. Michael and Amber were impressed with how Kevin had turned the Chipmunk nightmare into something positive for others. Several phone calls had also come in for Kevin, asking him to do motivational speeches for events. Michael was convinced that they could use Kevin's newfound popularity to help Jana's case.
Outside on the patio, Daniel and Michael discussed more strategy. Daniel asked Michael if he thought the fake Aucker's cell phone, which had contained Daniel's number, might contain further evidence. Michael conceded that it might, but that there was no legal way to obtain it until the trial. He warned Daniel not to do anything stupid. Daniel, instead, went to Kevin and informed him of his plan to get a hold of the cell phone. Kevin adamantly refused to be a part of it. Daniel reminded Kevin of how fiercely Jana had protected him when he needed it, and that he should do the same for her now. Meanwhile, Amber did an internet search for herself, and discovered that she might have a cyber stalker. She texted her old friend Ali (who had been in a web series with her) to see if she had been targeted too.
Before leaving the coffeehouse, Michael found Eden working behind the counter, and the two discussed how nice it was that things were normal with the family. He congratulated her on her grades and told her that he was proud of her ... that he knew it hadn't been easy. Eden admitted that although she missed her dad and her old life, she liked having a real home. She disclosed that Noah had made the transition much easier for her. Michael asked if the couple was "proceeding with caution." He seemed squeamish about the subject himself, but said that she could always talk to Lauren about anything. He advised her that she shouldn't be in a rush to grow up."Serious happens soon enough," he said. He informed Eden that he and Lauren wanted to keep her around as long as she wanted to be there. Eden smiled. Michael left to go to the courthouse to see the judge.
At the courthouse, Heather intercepted Michael. She announced that he was wasting his time with the judge, because she intended to open up Jana's old murder case and link it to the new one. Michael went to the jail to break the news to Jana. She lamented that she had killed someone before, and that even though it was a brain tumor that made her do it, she still took a life. Michael reminded her of all the good she has done in her life. He told her that she has proved everyone wrong, and that things would look up because she has a good heart. She said she was lucky to have such wonderful people in her life. Michael proclaimed that he would pull out every trick in the book to stop Heather from succeeding.
At the Newman ranch, Heather arrived to see Adam. The eye specialist, Dr. Donahue, arrived at the same time, and she introduced herself. She went upstairs to fetch Adam for the eye exam. He was in his room, furious because Dr. Taylor couldn't provide him with a bottle of Botox to replace the one he had accidentally broken. He managed to pull himself together, and Heather expressed her excitement about the possibility of hope for Adam's eyesight. Adam was frustrated, and told her that he didn't want to go through it all again. He even begged her to cut off his ankle monitor with a knife. She refused, saying that she believed in him, and that they would get through everything together. She had to leave for the courthouse, but not before he promised to give the doctor a chance.
Victor entered Adam's room to announce Dr. Donahue's arrival. He told Adam that he owed it to his mother to take advantage of an opportunity that she never had. Adam resigned himself to his fate. He imagined Victor's wrath if he were to get caught. He finally sat for the exam. Ashley arrived during it, and just in time to hear Dr. Donahue's stunning findings. The doctor announced that he had found puncture wounds in the cornea ... that it appeared as though Adam had been injecting something into his eyes. Victor grabbed Adam by the shirt and demanded answers. "Is that why you didn't want to see the doctor, because you were afraid of getting caught?" he seethed. Adam scrambled to come up with an explanation. He claimed that in prison, other prisoners had jumped him and stabbed him with hypodermic needles to torment him. He said that he had never mentioned it before to Victor because he didn't want to show weakness.
Victor asked Donahue if Adam could have been injecting himself to try to fool other doctors. "My tests indicate that he has been suffering from the disease for some time now," replied Donahue. Adam was stunned and horrified to hear this news. There was more bad news, though. Donahue announced that the injections had damaged nerves and muscles, meaning that Adam could never participate in trial drugs or experiments. Victor wanted to know what that meant for Adam's future. Donahue informed them all that the disease would run its course and the outcome would be permanent blindness. Nothing further could be done. Adam was overcome with sincere fear and grief. After Adam retreated to his room, Victor admitted to Ashley that he had been wrong to accuse Adam of tormenting her, and that he should have done more to get him out of jail sooner. Ashley went up to Adam's room to attempt to comfort Adam. She found him distraught, and assured him that she would help him through this, just as he had been there for her and the baby many times. She pulled him into a hug and begged him to just let her help him now.
Thursday
Victor asked Ashley to stay away from the courthouse and Estella's
arraignment. Ashley thought Estella was guilty. Victor told Ashley he
remembers when Hope learned she was pregnant and said he worried even then that the child would inherit her blindness.
Victoria and JT dropped by Victor's and said they were upset that he had
taken down Sabrina's portrait. He explained that it upset Ashley to have it
up and she looked at it every day. He asked Victoria if she would like to
continue working on The Newman Art Collection. Victoria enthusiastically
said yes and wanted to make Sabrina proud. JT thanked Victor for passing
Sabrina's art project on to Victoria. JT added that he had run into Mary
Janet at the ranch. Victor thought that was very interesting. Victoria said
she was going to first go for a painting by Jeff Koons for her father's
collection. Victoria placed a call and the phone was handed to a mystery man
we didn't see.
Adam admitted he always lived with the notion he might go blind. Victor
assured him he was not alone in this. Heather snuck in the back way and
visited Adam. He apologized for yelling at her yesterday. Adam blamed Victor
for what happened to his eyes in prison. Heather gave Adam a pep talk and
reminded him that he was still in a comfortable home and not in jail. "I'm a
prisoner," he insisted. Heather and Adam made love and professed their love
for each other. Heather said she wished she could take his pain away. Adam
told her she was the only person he completely trusted.
Adam tiptoed down the stairs and tried to listen to Victor's phone
conversation where he told someone where to meet him. Victor met Mary Jane
in the garden and accused her of stabbing him in the back. "Do you think
you are going to get away with it?" he asked, staring Mary Jane down. Adam
hovered by the bushes as Victor accused her of destroying the statue of
Sabrina and their unborn child. He reminded her that her job was to watch
Jack. Adam smiled when he heard that.
Nikki told JT and Victoria that she thought Adam had framed Estella. "This
time he's going to pay," Nikki said firmly. Nikki thought that Adam might
have had an accomplice.
At the courthouse, Estella asked Nikki why this was happening to her. Ashley
charged in and confronted the two women. "Estella tried to ruin my life,"
Ashley insisted. Nikki remained convinced that Estella was innocent. Nikki
blamed Adam but Ashley came to his defense. Rafe interrupted and said he wanted justice for his aunt. He told them he would get the charges dropped but that nothing could change the hurt Victor and Ashley had caused his aunt.
Noah asked Rafe about becoming an emancipated minor. "That's a big step,"
Rafe said explaining that Noah would have to prove that he could support
himself and have a place of his own to live. Rafe headed over to the
courtroom. Estella got out on bail. Ashley was glad that there was a
restraining order to keep Estella away from her and her family. Heather said
that if Estella breaks the restraining order, she be back in jail as soon as possible.
Nikki approached Ashley again and asked her why she was persecuting an
innocent woman. Ashley looked perturbed. Nikki told Rafe she thought Adam
was causing the trouble. Rafe didn't think it was possible. Nikki told Rafe
that Victor doesn't completely trust Adam.
Nick and Sharon invited Noah to meet them at the Athletic Club. They were
very excited about a house they were about to buy. Nick was convinced that
Sharon is carrying his baby. "It's the future we were meant to have," Nick
beamed. Noah told his stunned parents that he didn't want to live with them
anymore and was worried about the fate of the new baby. Sharon thought he
was overreacting and suggested family therapy. Nick thought Noah wanted to
live with Eden. "You guys don't have a clue," Noah said. Jack overheard
Noah tell his parents that they couldn't even run their own lives. Jack
pulled Noah aside. Noah told his former stepfather that his parents are a
couple of flakes. Much to Noah's surprise, Jack did not bash Sharon for
leaving him. Jack asked Noah to wait a few weeks before starting the
procedure to divorce his parents. Sharon got a call from the nurse. The
test results were in. Jack knew that Sharon wished the father would be Nick.
"I hope you get your wish," Jack said nobly.
Mary Jane talked to her stuffed cat. Jack showed up at her door and she was
delighted to see him. She immediately took off her dress and showed off her
black lingerie. She and Jack began kissing and landed in bed. Though Mary
Jane imagined a romance with Jack, he made it clear that it was only sex.
Jack left and Mary Jane began talking to kitty and saying "I'll have to take
it slow until he realizes he can't live without me."
Friday
At the G.C.A.C., a pregnant Sharon and Nick anxiously waited for the results
of the paternity test. Nick noted that it was the anniversary of the first
time he'd asked her to marry him, and took that to be a sign. They wished
that Noah would be happy that they'd reunited and hoped he'd eventually come
around. Sharon also hoped that if the baby were Nick's that Summer wouldn't
resent it. Nick was certain that Summer would love her new sibling. "You and
me being together, starting this family, it's right," Nick said. "It never
should have been any other way." He wished they could go back, but Sharon
suggested they move forward instead.
At Restless Style, Phyllis sadly looked at a picture of herself with Nick.
Mary Jane noted how happy they looked in the photo. Phyllis lit up when the
nanny came by with Summer and her little girl gave her a bracelet. Summer
reached for Phyllis's cookies, but Phyllis stopped her, reminding her
daughter that she has a peanut allergy. MJ bristled when Jack joined them
and asked to speak with Phyllis alone. Phyllis left her daughter with MJ
while Jack told her that Sharon was getting the results back that day. The
situation reminded Phyllis of when she was waiting to get the results of
Summer's paternity and Jack and Nick were both contenders for the father....
MJ sat and colored with Summer, and plotted on how she could get Nick and
Phyllis back together so Phyllis would stay away from Jack.
At the Newman Ranch, Victor informed Adam that Estella is out on bail, but
the restraining order is still in effect. After, Adam picked up a framed
photo of Hope and spoke to his late mother. "I only messed with Ashley's
mind to get back at Victor for the way he's treated me," he said. "I never,
ever meant to hurt Ashley's baby. God, mom, why did you put me back in touch
with Victor?" Adam asked. " I know you always see the good in people, but
you were wrong about him. The warped part of me is ... that's from Victor.
My inheritance." As he spoke his monologue, he packed up the Sabrina dress
and wig and planned to hide the box that they were in. He was interrupted
when Rafe knocked on his door. Rafe questioned him about Estella and if Adam
knew who'd framed her. "Who did this to her?" Adam stammered. "You tell me,"
a suspicious Rafe replied. Adam denied setting up his aunt. Rafe revealed
that Nikki was the one who suggested Adam was responsible. Adam angrily
replied that Nikki hates him and reminded his friend that he's blind. Rafe
pointed out that he could've had an accomplice, like someone he'd met in
prison. Adam denied this, as well. Still, Rafe asked if he could search the
room. Adam panicked as he eyed the box he'd just packed up, which contained
the Sabrina outfit. Adam sadly told Rafe that his accusations hurt him and
seductively placed his hands on Rafe's shoulders. "I have feelings," Adam
said, caressing his cheek. "Don't you?"
At Crimson Lights, Chloe talked to baby Cordelia about getting photos done
for Restless Style. Chloe called Billy so she could show him the pictures,
but got his voicemail. Meanwhile, Billy surprised Mac with a private dinner
at the G.C.A.C. He explained that they'd had such a good time at Crimson
Lights, he wanted to do it again. Mac hesitated until he listed the foods,
which were all her favorites — including Salmon Florentine and crunchy mac
and cheese. Crunchy? Really? Anyway, Mac sat down with him and began to
enjoy herself.... Chloe decided to treat herself to dinner at the club. She
imagined what would happen if she met a new guy and it made Billy
jealous.... Billy told Mac that he's missed having her in his life because
she's such a genuine person. He insisted that he wasn't trying to get
between her and Raul. Mac revealed that she broke off the engagement with
Raul. Billy concluded that she loved Raul, but not like she loves him. Mac
got up to leave, but Billy implored her to be honest about her feelings. Mac
admitted that Billy is who she wants to be with; they kissed, but she pulled
away and stated that he needed to give his marriage a chance, for Delia's
sake.
Victor ran into Sharon and Nick at the club and told Sharon that she'd
always be a part of their family. Sharon thanked him for not judging her....
Phyllis filled in Jack on how she'd gone to Nick for Daniel's bail. Jack
replied that she should've come to him, and that she can come to him for
anything. Meanwhile, MJ snatched Phyllis's peanut cookies. When Phyllis and
Jack were finished talking, Mary Jane invited Jack out to dinner. After, she
ate one of the peanut cookies while no one was looking — and then kissed
Summer good-bye.... Victor had a moment alone with Nick and told his son
that whatever happens with the paternity test, he has faith in Nick.... Jack
and Mary Jane arrived at the club and ran into Victor. Vic and MJ pretended
not to know each other well. After, they ran into Chloe; Billy asked her to
remind Billy that the paternity test results are coming in that day. Later,
Chloe found Billy and Mac at the club and informed Mac that Billy could be
the father of Sharon's child.
As Nick drove home, Sharon called him and said that she has the envelope
with the results. She wasn't planning to open it until he was there.....
Phyllis found Summer unconscious in the office.... Sharon gave up waiting
and took a look at the results: Nick was indeed the pop and she was having a
daughter. Sharon thanked the late Cassie for the gift.... A frantic Phyllis
called Nick and tearfully told him about Summer. Nick rushed to meet them at
the hospital.... MJ lured Jack to her hotel suite for a night of passion.
When she was alone, she called Victor and told him that she has Jack right
where she wants him. Victor reminded her that she's supposed to have Jack
right where HE wants him.
