At Crimson Lights, Kevin was in a panic when he told Jana that Daniel was back in jail. They both realized that if Daniel was in trouble, then Jana could be next. Heather arrived for some coffee, and encountered Michael. They discussed Daniel's case. Michael insisted that Daniel was being framed, but Heather replied that the D.A. would never buy that argument, and that she had no influence over him. An FBI agent arrived to question Jana, but Kevin rudely sent him away after realizing he had no warrant. Jana was thankful.

In jail, Daniel told Amber that someone went through an awful lot of trouble to set him up. Amber flashed back to her meeting with Deacon in which he gave her an ultimatum: sleep with him or her boyfriend would go down. Michael arrived to tell Daniel that it looked like the judge might not allow bail. Amber took off to confront Deacon at his hotel room. She began screaming at Deacon, saying that she would go to the police and tell them everything. "I would like nothing better than to see you hang!" she spat. Deacon was not a bit intimidated. "You're not smart enough to pull this off," she told him. "There will be evidence linking the murder to you." Deacon laughed it off, but asked her what she would do in exchange for rock solid evidence that could get Daniel released. "You got nothin' I want," Amber retorted. "That's not what you used to say," Deacon sneered. As Amber rushed to the door to leave, Deacon pushed a button on his laptop and Balfour's voice began playing. Amber froze and listened to the recording. In it, Balfour was gloating that "Romalotti has no idea he is being set up. He is going to go down hard." Amber wondered how Deacon had gotten the recording. "The question is," Deacon growled as he grabbed Amber from behind, "how do YOU get it?" Amber couldn't believe that Deacon was willing to frame an innocent man just to get her into bed. Just then, her cell phone rang. It was Daniel, calling to tell her that the judge had revoked his bail. While she was on the phone, Deacon pulled down the bed. He yanked the phone out of her hand and informed her that his offer was for one night only, and after tonight, he would be "clearing out some room on his hard drive" and that the evidence would "go bye-bye."

Phyllis and Nick brought Summer home from the hospital. Nick assured Phyllis that they would stay together as a family. Nick and Phyllis were thrilled when Summer looked at Nick and said, "Da-Da". Paul and Nikki arrived to visit Summer. Nick and Phyllis filled them in on Summer's condition. Paul lamented that he had ever backed off Mary Jane. Nick asked what they had found out about her in Europe. Nick and Phyllis were shocked to hear that none of the companies Mary Jane had supposedly worked for in Europe had ever heard of her. They concluded that she had fabricated everything about her history. Paul hurried off to go discuss the situation with Victor, saying that they needed to team up to find MJ immediately. Phyllis then received a call from Amber, who told her that Daniel had been arrested again and was in jail. Phyllis rushed down to the jail to visit with her son. Daniel wanted to know how Summer was doing. Phyllis tearfully described her slow recovery. Daniel encouraged her to go home to Summer, but Phyllis insisted on staying, saying that she was his mother too. She asked if he had any idea who had set him up. He responded that he couldn't think of anyone who could hate him that much.

Back at the tack house, Nikki and Nicholas were alone. They began talking about how odd Adam's behavior had been. Nick recounted seeing him with his arms full of women's clothing. They wondered what he was up to. They theorized that perhaps he had been "shopping" for his girlfriend, or that maybe the clothes were actually for him. Nikki told Nick about seeing Adam with Rafe. "Heather is his girlfriend," she said revealed slowly, "but apparently Rafe is his boyfriend." Nick's jaw dropped. They speculated that having a boyfriend was probably not Adam's only secret.

Heather visited Adam in his room. He was upset about Victor forcing him to go to a halfway house. Heather said she didn't understand why it was so important to him to stay at the ranch, especially in light of how badly Victor had treated him. He implored her to use her pull with the D.A. to stop the transfer. She told him that there was nothing that she could do, but that she would always love and believe in him.

Downstairs, Victor informed Ashley of his decision to send Adam away. Ashley was stunned and confused. Victor assured her that her health was his priority. Ashley begged him to reconsider; that Adam had been nothing but supportive of her. Ashley rushed upstairs to talk to Adam. She greeted Heather as she was on her way out, and then sat down with Adam to talk. She tearfully asked him to be her baby's godfather. She explained that since the baby was named after his mother, Hope, she knew he would have a soft spot for her. She told him how much faith she had in him, and that she hoped Victor would change his mind about sending him away.

Paul arrived at Victor's to discuss Mary Jane's disappearance. Victor wanted to handle it himself, but Paul refused, saying that he needed to help because his fiancee's granddaughter had been hurt by MJ. Victor agreed to team up, and they concocted an idea for a press conference announcing a reward for any information about MJ's whereabouts. Heather arrived for the press conference, representing the D.A.'s office. Victor began the live press conference. He looked into the camera and offered a one million dollar reward for any information about the woman who had harmed Summer.

Adam jumped out of his window with his ankle monitor on. He ran to the potting shed to warn Mary Jane about the press conference, saying that everyone would now be on the hunt for her. He instructed her to get off the ranch as soon as possible. They heard the sirens approaching, so she took off. Detective Wallace arrived at the ranch to inform Victor that Adam had left the premises. Just then, Adam came running in, out of breath, describing a woman "trespasser" that he had been chasing. He apologized for forgetting about his monitor as he was desperately trying to catch the intruder. He directed the police to the old potting shed. The detective and Paul questioned Victor about why MJ might be targeting the Newmans. Victor covered up his relationship with MJ, and instead asked Wallace to make sure Adam was not punished for violating house arrest. He further instructed Heather to withdraw his petition to have Adam transferred. Ashley beamed with thanks, and Adam feigned gratitude.

Mary Jane, alone and disheveled, wandered around a dark alley in town. Distraught without Kitty, she began mumbling to herself. She asked herself where she could go and what she would do next. She assured herself that she could still get Jack to love her.
