Monday
Jana napped on Kevin’s couch and was worried when she awoke and he wasn’t home. She turned on the news and heard about Cane’s death, and was worried about Kay, Lily and Jill. At the Chancellor Estate, Kevin followed Chloe outside; she was still angry with him for not telling her about Billy and Victoria’s baby. Chloe believed that all of the men in her life lie, cheat or die.
Jill was thrilled to learn that Chance was alive; she and Nina shared a happy reunion with him at the Chancellor Estate. Jill was filled in on how Chance is part of the Witness Protection Program. Jill realized that she’d also have to keep his secret to keep him safe.... Heather sat with Ronan at the hospital and was happy to hear that Chance was back in town.
Lily held her daughter and told her how lucky she was to have had Cane as a father. She played the video of Cane for her baby. Devon and Neil joined her and Lily said that she couldn’t sleep. She still couldn’t believe that Cane was dead. They went to get groceries and baby supplies.
Colin eyed a photo of Lily, Cane and the twins and noted to Kay that the babies are now his grandkids since he’s married to Jill. Kay relayed how Cane had become part of her family because he needed people in his life.
At the estate, Daniel got a call from the lab where he had the paternity test done, confirming that he’s Lucy’s father. After, he stared at the baby and Victoria asked if he wanted to hold her. He turned her down and hurried out. Outside, he ran into Kevin and Chloe, who were still arguing, but ignored them and dashed past them. Chloe didn’t believe that she and Kevin had a future, but he disagreed and wouldn’t let her give up on them. To prove his point, he pulled her into a passionate smooch. She was still doubtful and he called her a “Debbie Downer.” He promised to fix things, but she went back inside so she could be alone.
Colin chatted with Billy and Victoria about Lucy. Victoria became alarmed when the baby coughed, so they took her home. Billy called the doctor, who recommended that they let the baby breathe in some hot steam from the shower. They turned on the shower and followed the doctor’s orders. Victoria hated the thought of their daughter being sick and vowed to destroy anyone who hurt the baby. However, the shower worked and Lucy stopped coughing. Victoria requested that Billy never die. “Daddy’s not going anywhere,” he replied.
Daniel paid Lily a visit to check on her, but she was still in shock over everything. She told him about Cane’s message to the twins and regretted having made her husband leave. “He was a good man and a great father,” Daniel stated and was certain that Lily wouldn’t give up. “You are gonna keep Cane alive for your kids,” Daniel said. Later, Daniel held Lily’s daughter and noted that the baby has an amazing family to look out for her. By the time Neil and Devon returned home with groceries, Lily was ready to go to bed. Neil confided to Devon that he was thinking about Drucilla.
Chance asked how Chloe was doing and Nina replied that she was coping. He then explained to Jill that he was back in town to be a liver donor for an ill Ronan. Jill asked if she’d see him again soon and he promised that she would.... Chloe almost entered Jill’s room and saw Chance, but changed her mind and missed him as he and Nina left. Jill returned downstairs and joined Colin, Kay and Murphy. Murphy and Kay noticed that Jill looked a little happier and Jill credited Lucy and her new marriage for raising her spirits. Chloe also came downstairs and poured herself a drink. Jill looked on, concerned, and asked Chloe if she wanted to talk. Jill acknowledged that Chloe had cared about Chance and Cane and assured her that things would get better. Chloe wasn’t so sure. Later, Kay tried to comfort Chloe, to no avail.... Jill wondered to Colin how she was going to plan Cane’s funeral. Colin felt badly that this was their wedding night.
Kevin returned home and Jana pulled him into a hug. He then told an “amnesiac” Jana the truth: that they’re divorced and he’s dating Chloe. Jana insisted that she loves him and that his new relationship isn’t for real. “It is,” he told her. Jana broke down in tears.
Christine arranged for Chance to be put into a secured room in the hospital. Heather went to tell Ronan the good news while Paul and Chris watched Chance get wheeled in. Chance entered Ronan’s room and shared a long hug with Heather as Ronan watched, uncomfortable. Nina thanked Christine for bringing Chance home. Later, Ronan and Chance bonded while playing cards. Paul, Nina and Heather smiled as they watched the brothers getting along.
Tuesday
At the Chancellor Estate, Kay attempted to cheer up a distraught Chloe. Kevin called from Crimson Lights and asked to see her. Christine arrived to speak with Kay, but Kay promised that she and Chloe would finish their talk. Jill also hurried out.... Kevin called Jana's doctor to find out how he should deal with an upset Jana. Jana overheard from outside the coffeehouse. Kevin was called to deal with a leak in the basement. Meanwhile, Jana went to see Chloe and reamed her out for being with Kevin. Chloe pointed out that they're divorced, but Jana, still pretending to have amnesia, refused to "believe" it. Jana angrily stated that everyone who's been with Chloe has lived to regret it. "Everyone who has lived," she coldly added and demanded that Chloe set Kevin free. Chloe kicked her out of the home. Jana warned that if anything happened to Kevin, she'd hold Chloe responsible.
Jack, Adam, Sharon and Phyllis met up to discuss how Victor had pulled off Skye's disappearance. Jack believed that Victor had had help with his scheme in Hawaii. Phyllis listed everything bad that Victor has done, including inadvertently causing Colleen's death. Adam learned that the pilot who flew Victor took an early retirement; he believed that they needed to get to Hawaii and talk to Koa. Jack and Phyllis agreed to head to the islands.
At the hospital, Chance and Ronan were prepped for the liver transplant. Nina noted that Chance was risking his life by being there, but he assured her that he was safe. Ronan entered Chance's room and asked to speak with his brother. Ronan noted that Chance doesn't owe him anything and understood if he wanted to back out of the transplant. Chance replied that this was something he had to do.... Paul, Heather and Nina waited in the lobby. They were surprised when they met the doctor — Nate Hastings, Olivia's son. Chris joined them and Nina introduced her to Nate. Nate went to see Chance and Ronan to discuss the transplant procedure. Both were ready to go through with it.... Jill was shocked when Kay admitted that she's known about Chance being alive for months. She was upset with Kay for keeping this from her. Jill asked if everyone else had known and they confirmed it. Nina explained that she'd been trying to protect Chance by keeping his secret. Nate met the rest of the family and gave them the details of the surgery. He warned that Ronan's body might not accept the liver, but Paul assured a concerned Nina that her sons would both be fine. Chris visited with Ronan to wish him luck, while Kay went to check on Chance. She gave him a package of cookies from Esther to eat after surgery.... Christine told Paul that he and Nina are good together.... Heather visited Chance and he told her that leaving her was the hardest part. He was glad to see that she was doing well and gave her his blessing to be with Ronan. Later, Nina joined her sons and was thrilled to have both in her life. They promised that they'd both survive the operation.
Kevin went to the estate and informed Chloe that he gave Jana the whole truth about their divorce. He went to kiss Chloe, but she pushed him away. He wondered what was going on and she explained that she's "wrong" for him. She believed that she damages all of the men she's been with and added that Jana was right about her being cursed. Kevin realized that she and Jana talked. Seeing how confused Chloe was, he left and she broke down. Kevin returned home and found Jana waiting for him. "What did you say to her?" he asked. Jana shrugged and denied ever saying that Chloe's cursed. She tried to take advantage of the situation and "comfort" Kevin, but he pulled away.
Chloe went to the hospital and ran into Heather. Chloe demanded to know what everyone was keeping from her, but Heather kept quiet. Chloe threatened to call Billy and get Restless Style on the case. Heather revealed that Chance is alive. Christine was furious when she learned that Heather had blabbed. Later, the guys were finally wheeled into surgery.
Wednesday
Phyllis and Jack arrived in Hawaii so they could find out what really happened to Skye. Jack was sure that he could get information from Koa. Nick called Phyllis and asked how long she was going to be out of town; she admitted that she's working on a story that's in Hawaii. Meanwhile, Sharon and Adam hoped that Jack and Phyllis could help them, though Sharon found it ironic that she was depending on Phyllis. Just then, Nick called Sharon and asked if she could help Faith get to sleep. Sharon readily agreed. Adam encouraged her to enjoy her time with Faith and not argue with Nick. After, Adam sat down at his computer and came up with a plan to make it appear Skye is still alive. He made it seem as if she were still online making purchases with her credit card.... Sharon went to the tack house and read Faith a bedtime story. After, Nick reminded Sharon why he had full custody of their daughter. Still, both were concerned about what it was doing to Faith. Before she left, Nick informed her that Phyllis was in Hawaii; Sharon answered that she was there with Jack and they were helping her. Nick was surprised that she'd trust them. Sharon explained that Phyllis was getting a scoop and that Jack and Skye had been "friends." Sharon asked Nick if he knew of any connection between Victor and Skye, but Nick answered that the only trip his father had taken was to Colorado. Nick agreed to see if he'd actually been there and made some calls; however when he spoke with a staff member, Nick learned that Victor had given the whole staff off and had asked to be alone. "Which means he could've been anywhere," Sharon reasoned.
Jack and Phyllis went to the general store, but it was closed. Phyllis hung a sign asking for anyone who'd been on the volcano the same night as Sharon and Skye to call them. They soon ran into Jack's surfer pal, Chester, who revealed that Koa won the California lottery and closed his store.
At the hospital, Jill, Paul, Heather, Nina, Kay, Murphy and Christine anxiously waited to get news on Chance and Ronan. Jill couldn't believe that Chance would put his life on the line for Ronan. She also wished that the dirty cops would be put in prison. When Paul and Heather stepped away, Jill thanked Chris for bringing Chance back. Kay apologized to Murphy for not telling him about Chance, but he understood. Chloe told Nina that she understood why Nina didn't fill her in. Nina didn't understand why Dr. Nate hadn't given them any updates on her sons. After, Chloe asked to speak with Heather and thanked her for telling her about Chance. She then asked which brother Heather was going to be romantic with, but Heather didn't think it was the time or place to discuss that.... Paul and Chris encouraged Nina to think about her future with her sons.... Jill asked Kay to sit with her; she then took Kay's hand and they said a prayer for the guys and Nina. After, Jill tried to keep Nina calm. Later, Nate told them that Chance's surgery went well, but Ronan was still being operated on.
Nina was finally allowed to see Chance. She hurried to his room and called him a hero. Chance stated that it was worth it, then asked if he could see Chloe. Chloe was surprised when Nina got her, but went to his room. "I'm supposed to be the dramatic one," she cracked, but admitted that she'd had a tough time dealing with his "death." Still, she understood why he had to disappear. Later, Nate gave the family the grave news that Ronan was "gone."
Thursday
Neil and Lily put together the final plans for Cane's funeral. He suggested that she relax and have some food, but she said that she wasn't hungry. She explained that she couldn't stop because she wanted to put together the perfect funeral. As she spied the calendar, she realized that it was almost Valentine's Day and felt a wave of sadness. However, she smiled as they went through photos of Cane with the kids. She confided that she can't stop thinking about the moment when he died in her arms and hoped that he was at peace. Lily also noted that he'd been trying to say something as he died and couldn't get it out. Neil urged her not to think about questions that could never be answered.
Sofia and Malcolm went to Crimson Lights. She finished making cancellations for their wedding, but he reminded her that the funeral wasn't the only reason why they were calling it off. Ouch! He again blasted her for keeping Cane's secret. "Are we over?" Sofia sadly asked. He replied that he loves her, but didn't give her a straight answer. He wasn't sure that he'd ever be able to forgive her. Later, Mal joined Lily and offered to help with the funeral arrangements. Neil went home to clean up. Later, Lily showed Mal some of Cane's things from Australia, including a photo of him when he was a little boy. She decided to include it in the display at the funeral.
At the hospital, everyone feared that something went wrong with Ronan's surgery. Nate revealed that Ronan left the hospital and was flown to an undisclosed location by the FBI. Nina angrily asked Christine if she'd sent Ronan away. Chris denied it, but Nina didn't believe it. Paul and Christine promised to get answers, while Jill tried to keep Nina calm.
Jill called Colin, who encouraged her to focus on helping Nina. After, Esther brought Colin a cup of tea and praised him for being so kind to Jill. "Maybe you're not such a bad guy after all," she told him.... Chloe questioned Jill for keeping Chance's presence secret from Colin. Jill answered that she didn't like doing it, but wanted to keep Chance safe. Phillip arrived and visited Chance, then joined the others. Chris, Heather and Paul tried to get answers from the agents guarding the floor, but didn't learn anything. Still, Nina thanked Nate for operating on her sons. Heather believed that Ronan knew he was being taken away. Chloe wondered if Ronan set the whole thing up, but no one else agreed. Phillip noted that Ronan could testify at the hearing against the dirty cops without actually appearing in court. "He used you all," he stated. Nina didn't want to hear that.
Kay and Jill sat with Chance in his hospital room. He asked about Ronan, but they told him that there was no news.... Nate stopped by Lily's and she was thrilled to see him, as was Malcolm. He gave her his condolences and she introduced him to the twins.... Colin held a photo of himself and Cane when Cane was young and quietly grieved.... Jill and Kay joined the others in the hospital lobby. Phillip asked Jill about Colin and she declared her love for her new hubby. Kay added that they still had many questions about Jill's spouse.... Christine was upset with the FBI for not telling her about Ronan.... Chloe visited Chance and shared her theory about Ronan. She suspected that he was playing them. After, Nina asked Chance if he agreed with Chloe, but he wasn't sure.... In the hallway, Heather and Chloe faced off. Chloe argued that she was just trying to be realistic about Ronan.
Sofia went to Neil's place and apologized to him for keeping Cane's secret. Neil understood why she'd tried to protect Cane and didn't blame her for his death.... Lily admitted to Malcolm that the situation with Cane made her question her judgment. He reminded her that she can depend on her family.
Everyone returned to the Chancellor Estate, where Chloe called Ronan a "weasel.".... Heather wondered to Paul if Chloe was right about Ronan.... Nina sat with Chance and lamented that she'd thought she and Ronan were getting close.
Friday
At Gloworm, Gloria presented Jeffrey with his Valentine's present — a royal title! Now he was Count Jeffrey Bardwell. He lamented that things have been slow at the club, so she suggested that they have a fundraiser. A glum Kevin soon arrived to check the books. Glo wondered why he wasn't celebrating with Chloe. A man entered and introduced himself as Hogan's associate, Angelo. Angelo carried a tiny dog. Jeff and Gloria decided to make their fundraiser for an animal charity. After Gloria stepped away, Angelo reminded Jeff that he owed Hogan money.
At the Chancellor Estate, Murphy and Kay gave a mopey Chloe Valentine's Day chocolate. Nikki arrived and Murphy gave her chocolate, as well. Chloe ranted about how awful Valentine's Day was and planned to celebrate Delia's birthday instead. Esther entered, with a huge bouquet for Nikki. She suspected that it was from Victor, but he arrived and denied it.
Diane worked at the Newman Ranch, but was interrupted when Nick called and invited her to join him for dinner. She accepted... Nikki stopped by the tack house to give Nick and his family gifts... Meanwhile, Victor came home and asked Diane to stay for dinner. They were interrupted when Gloria came by and asked them to attend Gloworm's holiday benefit, "Puppy Love."
Abby and Daniel went to Crimson Lights, carrying a bunch of packages for Delia. Ashley joined them and remembered that she had to get Delia a present, as well. Abby showed her a cute outfit for Lucy and Daniel's face clouded over.... Victoria and Billy decorated their place for Lucy's first Valentine's Day and Delia's party. Ashley, Kevin, Chloe, Daniel, Abby, Kay, Jill and Murphy attended Lucy's party. Daniel stared sadly at the baby.... Kevin left after only a few minutes, which Chloe said she was fine with.
Jack surprised Phyllis for Valentine's Day in Hawaii. He gave her a necklace that looked like a whale tail that had diamonds on it. They agreed that they could have fun, even though they were there to get information on Skye's disappearance. Later, Phyllis got a call about the flyer she'd hung. The person had video footage from the night that Skye died. They were hopeful that it could help Sharon.
Adam arranged for it to look as if Skye were alive and using her credit card. Sharon returned home and lied that he had a surprise for her. Later, Gloria invited them to her benefit. She then asked Nick to come to Gloworm.... Adam watched Sharon pace and suggested that they go out to celebrate Valentine's Day. Sharon didn't want people to talk about them, but Adam didn't care what they said. They decided to go to the event. Later, Sharon put on a gorgeous red dress — which Adam couldn't wait to get her out of. Before they left, they got a call from Vance, who told them that they had nothing. Sharon realized that she had to prepare for a trial, but Adam assured her that it wouldn't come to that.... Jack and Phyllis got the video and watched it; Jack paused on a frame and they saw that Victor had been in Hawaii the night that Skye died.
Everyone returned to the Chancellor Estate after the party. Chloe went on another rant about how there's no such thing as real love. Gloria arrived to offer her condolences about Cane and to invite them to Gloworm. Jill, Nikki and Chloe turned her down, but Kay and Murphy agreed to show up. Kay then insisted that they all go to Gloworm.
Daniel and Abby left Billy and Victoria's. Abby concluded that he was acting strangely because he was thinking about Daisy's baby, but Daniel replied that it was just good to see a baby being loved.... Reed sent Victoria a cute Valentine's Day card and Billy set up to computer so she could talk to her son.
Gloria and Jeff got ready for the fundraiser. Kevin reminded Jeff that charity meant they had to give the money away. He wanted to leave, but Gloria made Kevin stay and had him work on her computer.... Soon, Kay and the gang arrived at the club. Chloe hated being there, but Kay ignored her and asked Chloe to get her some aspirin. Chloe went upstairs where Kevin was.... Deacon arrived and said hello to Nikki, who was pleased to see him.
Victor got teddy bears for Faith and Summer.... Diane finally arrived at Nick's and they kissed. Victor went to the tack house with the bears and spied them smooching through the window.
