Monday
Victoria admitted to J.T. that she was nervous about meeting Adam. After she
left for work, Nikki met with J.T. and they discussed, as a surprise for
Victoria, how the movers would pick up everything at the loft and take it to
their new home (Nick and Sharon's old place).
Since Victor didn't mention any new hires, Neil was surprised to encounter
Adam at Newman Enterprises. Neil was impressed with his credentials but Adam
didn't reveal that he was Victor's son. Later, Victor showed up and
announced to Neil that the newest employee was in fact his son. "He wants no
special treatment," Victor noted. Meanwhile, Victoria arrived and crossed
paths with Adam, who asked if his sister was ever curious about him. "You
and your mother represented a time in my father's life that caused us a
great deal of pain," Victoria explained. "Once we got over that, we just
kept moving forward. We didn't look back." Adam said he was here for the job
and not "to find the father I never knew." Victor showed up and welcomed his
daughter back to work.
Sharon told Jack that she spotted Jeffrey fiddling around with the spy
camera. Jack assured that there were no secret cameras planted in their own
living quarters and suggested that Jeff was spying on Gloria. Jack and
Sharon headed to to the warehouse and met up with Nick and Phyllis. The
foursome was excited about the potential for their new work space but Nick
worried about getting clients to sign on for advertising. Jack announced
that he and Sharon were meeting with a few potential clients in L.A.,
including Forrester Creations. Sharon confided to Phyllis that she was
getting bored with running the John Abbott Foundation. Phyl suggested that
Sharon quit but she didn't want to disappoint Jack. Sharon decided to broach
the subject with her husband during their business trip to L.A..
While they were dining out, Jeff told Gloria that it was a turn on that she
was trying to frame him for attempted murder. "Your brain works almost as
deviously as mine," smiled Jeff and warned his wife he was planning
something "devilish" for her. When Jeff had to take an overseas phone call,
Glo called Kevin to tell him that her husband was onto the poison fiasco.
She then told Kev that she had another plan. Jeff returned and suggested
that they work as a team to get the Abbotts out of the house. Gloria agreed.
Victoria called Nick and told him to come over to Newman Enterprises to meet
their brother but Nick declined. Victoria suggested that their dad was
grooming Adam for Nick's old job. J.T. called and asked Victoria to come by
Nick's old house so they could talk about the possibility of taking the
place. Victoria showed up there and was happily surprised that J.T. had
moved all their stuff in. "It looks like we've lived here forever," she
marveled, then called her mom to tip off that Victor's other son is now
working at Newman.
Phyllis urged Nick to get to know his brother. "I don't want anything to do
with my dad right now, so why would I want anything to do with his other
son?" posed Nick.
Tuesday
Jack and Sharon decided to take Noah on their business trip to L.A. Gloria
came downstairs and, spotting the suitcases, assumed her roommies were moving out. Jack assured that they would only be gone for a few days.
J.T. was surprised when Victoria announced that she was bringing Reed to work instead of leaving him home with his new nurse. "I just can't bear the thought of leaving him at home all day," lamented Victoria.... After
learning that Nick borrowed against his trust fund to purchase a warehouse, Victor called him and warned that the magazine venture wasn't "a very sound decision." Nick disagreed and hung up.... Phyllis ran into Adam at the GCAC gym. They discussed donuts and chestnuts tarts, then worked out.... Gloria complained to Kevin about Jeffery. Kev advised his mom to cut her losses and be nice to Jeffrey, but Glo vehemently refused.... In L.A., Jack met with Eric Forrester. "I have a proposal for you, and if I may say so, I think it could do wonders for your business," Jack pitched.
Daniel asked Amber to accompany him to a concert but she urged him to ask
Heather instead. "You're blowing me off," groused a disappointed Daniel.
Jana and Kevin observed the interaction and Jana wanted to "do something to get those two together" — Kevin opted not to get involved. Jana later asked Amber and Daniel to come up with ideas for Kevin's wedding present. Daniel continued to scold Amber for acting differently since they slept together. Before walking off, Daniel said, "If you ever think that we can be cool and hang out as friends again, give me a call and let me know, because until then, I'm officially giving up on trying to be your friend."
Adam told Victor that he was interested in bolstering sales for The Beauty Of Nature line. Victor explained that it was Victoria's division but
declared, "I'd love it if the two of you work together." Later, Adam met
J.T. then annoyed Victoria when he announced that their dad wanted them to work together on The Beauty Of Nature. "I'll defer to you, of course," Adam offered. "You have the experience. You know the products." Victoria later decided to keep an open mind about Adam. J.T. suggested to his wife that they invite Adam to dinner.
Victor approached Nick at the GCAC gym to continue to give his opinion on
Restless Style. "Look, you fired me," Nick reminded. "Now you're trying to
control everything I do." Victor admitted that their rift "breaks my heart" and urged Nick to get to know Adam but Nick wasn't receptive. "One day, son, your boy will be grown up and I hope he deals with you in a nicer way than you have with me," Vic lamented. Father and son ran into each other again in the GCAC dining room. Adam showed up and introduced himself to Nick. Adam
asked if he could pick Nick's brain about the company, but Nick advised him to use Victoria instead. After Nick left, Adam asked if he was hired before or after Victor fired Nick. Victor assured that Nick's termination didn't
have anything to do with Adam.
Wednesday
Nick needed to take out another loan against his trust fund and Phyllis
suggested they find investors instead. Nick pointed out, "Jack's putting up
half. I'm putting up half. That way, we have total control." Daniel showed
up and was wowed by the new office space. Amber arrived later to sell her
designs but Phyllis explained that they want to hire a fashion director to
make those decisions. Amber asked if she could have the job and Daniel
praised her talent. Phyllis said no and Amber offered to take any available
position. Phyllis said they needed a receptionist and Amber jumped on it.
When Amber and Daniel were alone, they vowed to try and be the pals they
once were.
In Eric's office, Ashley made plans with Jack to get together later for
dinner ("Abby is dying to see Noah"), then left the men alone to discuss
business. Jack explained his venture and Eric was surprised that Nick Newman
was a partner. "Victor's an old friend of mine," Eric acknowledged. "I know
he's an old enemy of yours." Eric promised to look over Jack's proposal.
After Abbott left, Eric called Victor, who deemed the magazine "a foolish
undertaking." Meanwhile, Jack enthusiastically told Ashley "I am confident
Eric is on board."
Neil invited Adam to visit Indigo. Adam then huddled with Victoria and they
were interrupted by J.T., who announced that the nurse was coming to pick up
Reed so they could have dinner at Indigo. Victoria reluctantly agreed. After
the Hellstroms left, Adam wanted to discuss Nature Of Beauty with Victor,
however Victor explained, "This is her division. I don't want to step on her
toes." Adam backed off.
Jill and Chloe were going over Lily's latest modeling photos and Lily was
surprised when Chloe said she wasn't impressed with the results. "The vacant
eye girl look is over," Chloe summed up but Cane and Nikki came in and
thought some of the shots were great. "Chloe is our expert," declared Jill.
"This is why we hired her, and she thinks we have a way to go." Cane advised
Chloe not to be so hard on Lily, but Lily assured, "I can handle this." Neil
called Lily and asked her to visit Indigo because Karen would be singing.
Cane agreed to come along.
J.T. called Nick and asked that he and Phyllis come to Indigo too.... Amber
was disappointed to hear that Daniel was taking out Heather. However, when the
assistant DA cancelled the plans, Daniel didn't ask Amber to go.... Adam got
a strange phone call and insisted to whoever was on the other end, "I have a
really good opportunity here, and I'd like to see it through." His caller
hung up.... Chloe and Jill showed up at Indigo. Cane told Chloe to lighten up
on the Fresh Face girls but she countered with, "Don't you think it's a
little inappropriate to be dating one of the models?"... Victor and Nikki
encountered one another at GCAC and decided to have a civil dinner together.
Nikki wanted to know all about Adam but when the topic drifted to Nick,
Victor cut their dinner short.... Nick told Victoria that he met Adam.
At Indigo, a nervous Karen prepared to perform. Neil introduced her and she
anxiously took the stage, then sang beautifully. Nick got an urgent text
that the security alarms were going off at the warehouse and had to leave.
Adam showed up and flirted with Phyllis. Later, Victoria mentioned to
Phyllis that Adam was Victor's son. "Your Adam is the same Adam that's been
hitting on me," a surprised Phyllis revealed.
Thursday
Phyllis informed Nick that she met his brother, saying he wasn't a "typical"
Newman and surmised that he was way over his head in the family biz
department. Meanwhile, Victor flashed back to a speech he gave Nick years
ago about how he was being groomed to take over the company, then happily
greeted Adam and applauded him for being such an eager beaver. Adam shared
with Victor that he had plenty of ideas to bring to the table and suggested
that Newman hire a new celebrity spokesperson for the Beauty Of Nature line.
Jeffrey and Gloria traded barbs. Glo accused her "beau" of trying make her
fall down the stairs when the railing buckled beneath her. She wanted to
know if Bardwell really was out to off her or just enjoyed watching her
squirm. After more bickering, Glo threatened blackmail if Jeff decided to
turn her in; he called her bluff. The tension turned uncomfortably sexual as
Jeff suggested they need to have sex (they are married, after all) "You're
so sexy when you're stupid," he grinned when Glo denied him. Then he
informed her that tonight would be the night they'd consummate their
marriage. Glo continued to refuse and later slipped out.
Glo met up with Kevin, who informed his mom about the harebrained plan he
hatched to bring Jeff's Korean girlfriend to town to distract him while they
devised a way to silence Jeff for good. Glo returned home where Jeff tried
to woo her with champagne (she figured it was drugged), which she swallowed
in one huge gulp. Jeff admitted he rigged the faulty banister, as a warning
of what he was capable of. Then he suggested they consider working together
to bring down everyone and even take over Jabot.
In LA at Forrester Creations, Jack gave Sharon the okay to work at RESTLESS
STYLE with him, especially if that's what will make her happy. Ashley
stopped by to greet them before Jack was whisked away into Eric's office for
a closed-door meeting, where Eric turned down Jack's request for advertising
in the new magazine (not mentioning his conversation with Victor
yesterday).... Ash and Sharon caught up. Ashley noted how awkward it must be
for Sharon working alongside Phyllis and Nick now, but Sharon was adamant
that she was happy with the new setup.
Back at Newman Enterprises, Victoria was especially cool toward Adam when he
presented his ideas to her. He invited her to attend a meeting with the
company's account execs with him; she agreed.... Victoria griped to Victor
about Adam but he wouldn't back down and encouraged her to work things out
with him.... Victoria skipped out on the meeting when JT called, saying Reed
had a fever; the ad execs weren't too pleased to deal with the new guy, Adam
but he wooed them with his Newman charm, anyway.
Nick and Phyllis visited the warehouse and Phyll freaked out about the cost
of starting a new business.... Ashley promised Jack she'd talk to Eric about
why he passed on the advertising deal.... Jack broke the bad news to Nick
about the botched deal with Forrester.
A doc informed JT and Victoria that Reed might have a staph infection and
suggested they take him to the hospital, stat.... Victor met Sabina, Vik's
friend from Florence.... At GCAC, Phyllis admitted to Adam she didn't
realize who he was when they first met and invited him to join her and Nick
for dinner.
Friday
Nikki encountered Walter at the GCAC and invited him to dine with her and
David. Not surprisingly, David wasn't happy to see them together. "Walter
was just about to fill me in on your life," Nikki teased to a nervous David,
who got even more rattled when she added that Walter was going to have
dinner with them. David lied that he wanted to show Walter the gym and when
the guys were alone, Chow said, "Stay the hell away from her and I'll get
you your damn money." The men argued which led to them socking each other.
Nick, Phyllis and Adam gathered at the GCAC for dinner. Nick asked Adam
about his life in New York but he was hesitant to give up any details. When
the conversation got tense, Adam announced to his bro, "I didn't ask for
Victor to be my father, any more than you did, Nick. To be perfectly honest
with you, I'm not all that comfortable with it." That comment seemed to put
Nick at ease. Nikki came over and was surprised to find out that "the young
man I keep bumping into" was Victor's other son. After a polite chat, Nikki
returned to her own table and Adam remarked how different she is from Hope.
Adam seemed genuinely interested in Nick's magazine and tagged along to see
the warehouse. Adam was impressed with the operation, then made a crack
about Nick's trust fund. "I was generalizing rich kids and I apologize for
it," Adam countered. "You both seem to have the talent and the energy to
pull this off and I'm really behind you." He quickly left and Phyllis urged
Nick to give Adam a chance.
Nikki saw David's injured face (he's gonna sport quite a shiner on that
eye!) and asked what happened. David confessed that he has a gambling
problem and owes a quarter mil to Walter for unpaid debts from betting on
the horses. David insisted that he loves Nikki and didn't want her
money but at that point, she didn't know what to believe, then walked out.
Daniel showed up at Insomnia with his hair dyed back to it's original color
(much better!) and listened to an excited Amber gush about their new jobs
at Restless Style. "This is our way of getting into the fashion business,"
Amber pointed out. "You as a photographer, me as a designer." While Amber
was waiting on Kay and Cane, La Chancellor asked her to come over to the
mansion tomorrow. When Cane asked why, Kay explained that Amber was helping
with writing her memoir. Amber's demeanor tipped off Daniel that she finally
seemed over her ex. They headed over to the warehouse and after Phyllis and
Nick left, Daniel started to feel drawn to Amber.
Victor invited Sabrina in and wondered where his daughter could be with the
baby. While Sabrina was freshening up, Victoria and J.T. arrived with Reed
and revealed their son had a possible staph infection but would be okay
thanks to antibiotics. Sabrina returned and Victoria was thrilled to see
her, then asked her dad if Sabrina could lodge up at the main house, to
which he agreed (uh, oh...). Vic left and Sabrina explained that she was on
her way to a new life in New York ("I'm starting a consulting business, as a
private curator") after a disastrous affair with an artist in Paris. Sabrina
reported to the main house, where she and Victor continued to get to know
each other over fruit and cheese.
