While Sharon cuddled with Summer, the power went out, so Nick lit candles.
"I'm not letting you and Noah leave until it's safe," he noted. Sharon broke
down in tears about her marriage woes, then called Jack to let him know she
was okay. Jack was hurt when she said that she told Noah they were moving
out of the Abbott house. Nick said that Jack seemed like "a pretty good guy
to me" and advised Sharon to really think about what she wants to do about
her marriage. After Sharon fell asleep on the sofa, Noah came downstairs and
crawled in next to his mom.
"I still can't believe you're here," Jack marveled to Ashley, who explained
how her professional life at Forrester Creations was going great but that
she and Ridge were no longer engaged. Ash urged her beleaguered brother to
talk about his problems so he confessed that he influenced their father to
write a new will and disinherit Gloria. "Give Gloria the money," Ashley
suggested. "It's what our father wanted." The siblings hugged as Jack saw
John smile at them. While Ashley left the room to call Abby, Jack was still
conflicted on what to do but John urged his son to do the right thing.
Phyllis was irked when Brad joined her at the GCAC bar. "I'd like to
propose a truce," he offered. "There's too much hate in the world." She
immediately knew Brad wanted something so he asked Phyllis to convince Jack
that Sharon wasn't good for him. Phyllis vehemently refused and before
stalking away, told Brad she hated him. Brad then called Sharon but she
didn't answer her cell when she saw who was calling. Brad left her a voice
mail. "I just wanted to tell you that I was thinking of you," he said.
Victor assured a worried Nikki that the generator kicked in and Victoria's
medical equipment was functioning normally. Victor wanted to continue their
conversation but she lamented that she was tired of him bullying her. He
pointed out that he hasn't changed since the day they met. "Can we please
just stop trying to hurt each other and move on?" she posed. Victor then
offered to forgive his wife's debts if she got rid of David, which
infuriated Nikki. "I don't want your damn lifeline," she ranted. "You have
no respect for me whatsoever." Victor stormed out of the room and Nikki
began packing up her personal effects, not knowing that a pained Victor was
watching her. While Nikki was upstairs reading a poem to Victoria, Victor
went through his wife's belongings, pulled out a photo album and put it
away.
Nikki fell asleep at Victoria's bedside, then woke up to find it was
morning. When she went downstairs, Victor ignored her so she left... Nick
was pleased to find that Phyllis was home.... Jack was surprised when Sharon
and Noah returned. "We're back," she whispered and hugged a stunned Jack.
Thursday
At Newman Enterprises, Neil could sense tension between Victor and Nick as
they all discussed Nikki's lawsuit. Victor wanted to counter sue but Neil
and Nick opposed that recourse and urged Vic to settle. "I am not going to
settle!" he raged. "That's not part of my vocabulary." After Neil left, Nick
again urged his dad to drop his law suit for "the good of everyone,
including you" but Victor refused.
Maggie informed Heather that she was waiting for the lab results on the
surveillance tapes outside Ji Min's room. Heather then admitted that she
hasn't been sleeping well due to Paul but was hesitant to discuss him with
Maggie. "I'm your friend," Maggie stressed. "I think right now you need to
talk to somebody and it doesn't matter whether they're close to Paul or
not." Heather recounted the "fear and emptiness" she felt as a child. Maggie
agreed that Heather had every right to be angry at Paul. Heather then got a
call from the crime lab that the video tape had indeed been erased after
Jack's appearance at Ji Min's hotel room and that Victor was the last person
to visit Mr. Kim. "Now we have enough for an arrest warrant," chirped
Maggie.
Neil advised Cane that Victor still believed that shoddy construction
brought down the parking structure. Cane later bumped into Lily and
predicted that she will do well with the Fresh Face of Jabot contest. Seeing
their "goofy" interaction, Devon suggested to Neil that they set Lily up
with other guys.
Paul was concerned when he found out that, at Victor's behest, J.T. was
investigating David. "Victor Newman is ruthless," warned Paul. "Don't get in
the middle of that divorce. You be very, very careful." Victor called J.T.
and he rushed off over to Newman Enterprises. Vic wanted an update on David
and J.T. reported that there was nothing to report yet. Victor advised him
to keep looking.
Ashley was surprised to hear from Jack that Victor was a suspect in the
investigation of Ji Min's death. Ash then huddled with Sharon to express her
appreciation for giving Jack a second chance. "I think you're really good
for him," praised Ash. Sharon then called Brad and asked him to lunch. When
they later met at the GCAC, she announced she was staying with Jack. "You're
doing this for Noah, and I'm telling you, it's not a good reason," groaned a
disappointed Carlton. Then, he placed his hand on hrs. Oops. Jack spotted them
looking cozy and stormed out.
Victor was overjoyed when Ashley showed up at Newman Enterprises. It wasn't
long until they were talking about his ongoing feud with Jack. "Some things
never change," lamented Ashley. "Not even a little bit." After Ashley left,
Maggie showed up with two policemen and declared to Victor, "I have a
warrant for your arrest."
Friday
Nikki heard about Victor's arrest and checked on Nick. He asked if she
thought Victor was guilty. "I can't bring myself to even allow that
thought," Nikki sighed. Neil offered to write a public statement from Nikki
and she accepted. David overheard and was concerned. "You can't publicly
support him on the one hand, and then sue him on the other," he noted, but
Nikki said they are two different issues.
While hanging out with Devon and Roxanne, Lily got distracted when she saw
Cane. Lily claimed to have errands to run and scampered off. "I was thinking
maybe we could find a cool guy for her," Devon suggested to Roxanne. She
got on her cell phone and got someone interested in meeting Lily. Devon
phoned his sister and set up a date at Indigo. Later, Lily ran into Cane and
they made a date to see a movie.
As the news of Victor's arrest spread, Jill was still sure that Jack was
guilty. "People are rarely arrested by the police for no reason," Katherine
pointed out. "Now they must know something that we do not know."
Jill explained to Gloria how much Jeffrey was gushing about Glo. Jill
asked if they were getting serious. "I'm a widow," Gloria demurred. "It's
nice to get some attention." Jeff showed up and Gloria pretended to be happy
to see him. After Jill left, Jeff pushed Gloria to gather her family so he
could propose and she begrudgingly made plans for dinner the next night.
Jeff then asked a horrified Gloria to write out a check for $50,000 so he
could buy an engagement ring. "Anything less than three carats would be kind
of embarrassing," said Jeff. Gloria then realized that he was having her
every move followed.
After watching Gloria's body language with Jeffrey, Lauren surmised that
they weren't really in love to Michael.
Michael approached Heather and Maggie and found out about the tampered video
tape. Despite the evidence, Michael was still able to get bail granted,
which Nick posted. Father and son went home and while Victor was showering,
Nikki showed up at the ranch. Victor came downstairs and wasn't happy to see
his estranged wife so he took off. He then called Jack and accused him of
planting the evidence.
