Monday
Eden caught Michael and Lauren digging through River's files. She couldn't understand why since his case had been dropped. River waited for Eden to join him so they could leave town; Eden lied that she was going to be studying with a friend, but the Baldwins didn't believe her. Michael told his sister that he likes having her around. Eden argued that she promised to be there for her friend. After, Michael found River lurking around the docks and told his father that Eden's not with him. Michael confronted him about
going to the bank all those years ago so he could steal money from it. River argued that it wasn't what Michael thought, but Michael pegged his father as a thief. He also accused River of using Eden so he could keep his hands clean. River couldn't understand why Michael turned on him, but Michael kept calling him a con artist and a liar — and possibly a killer. River insisted that he truly loves Michael and Gloria, and the rest of the family, but
Michael didn't want to hear it. River warned that if Michael took action, Eden would end up suffering.
At the Chancellor Estate, Esther brought in Katherine's dry cleaning. Jill told her to get rid of the clothing so she could use the rooms. Esther argued that she wants the rooms kept as is, in Kay's honor. Esther stated that Jill didn't care about Kay the way she did. "She was my mother and not hers," Jill sniffed. "I don't have to prove that I loved her."... Murphy and "Marge" returned to his trailer after attending a pancake fundraiser. Murphy was curious when Kay called him "Phillip." "Who is he?" a confused Kay
replied. She said the name a few more times and wondered if Phillip was her brother or a boyfriend. Murphy didn't know, but assured her that they'd make plenty more memories together. Still, he promised to help her remember her past. He tried to jog her memory about her life outside of the diner. She recalled fighting Jill for her home and being angry about it, only she couldn't remember who Jill was. "Who is she?" Kay wondered. Meanwhile, Jill and Esther continued to argue about who knew Kay better. Jill accused Esther of being jealous that Jill was Kay's daughter and Esther wasn't. Esther denied this. Later, the ladies received a delivery — from Kay! It was gifts she'd ordered before she "died." Jill and Esther felt guilty for not realizing sooner that Kay had been drinking.... Kay recalled two women trying to get her sober once before. She thanked Murphy for being there for her and got a feeling that she has a daughter.... Jill spoke out loud to her
"late" mother, asking if Kay really wanted to leave her because of the things Jill had done.
Kevin desperately searched Crimson Lights for the money of Kay's he'd taken. Jana informed him that she gave it to River. Kevin couldn't believe that she gave him everything without warning. Jana explained that the money was eating away at Kevin's soul. He was furious. Jana refused to get it back. Kevin argued that it wasn't her money to give away. He continued to mope around, but she believed she made the right move.
Neil, Karen, Tyra and Devon visited with Ana at the coffeehouse. She was disappointed when Neil told the little girl that she probably wouldn't be coming home for Christmas. Karen asked Ana to be in her wedding as a junior bridesmaid. Ana sadly left her family to go with the social worker. After, Tyra reamed out Karen for inviting Ana to be in a wedding that was only going to be in a few weeks. Neil defended Karen, explaining that they're lobbying to become Ana's new foster family. Later, Rafe informed the family that Ana probably wouldn't be released back into Tyra's custody. He also noted that the court wouldn't approve of Karen and Neil not being married. Tyra suggested that Karen move out. Karen didn't like this and said they should just get married sooner. Rafe agreed to find out which arrangement would get Ana home more quickly. Tyra glowered as Neil and Karen smooched.
Tuesday
Adam met with the wedding planner and wanted to arrange for his and Heather's ceremony to be the next day. The wedding planner couldn't understand why he was in such a rush, but knew of a venue available in a certain city.... Heather went to the prison and questioned Frank about his written confession. Frank insisted that he indeed wrote the confession about the forged diary — and that everything he said was true. Heather suspected that Victor had threatened Frank, but Frank promised her that he wasn't lying. After, Heather called Adam and asked him to meet her at her office. Before she left, Victor told her that he'd given Adam a chance to come clean, but Adam didn't take it. Later, Adam arrived at Heather's office and she again asked him about the diary. He again insisted that he got it at the ranch. "It's over," Heather cried. "What's over?" he asked. "Everything," she answered. Adam tried to explain himself but she was furious with him for lying to her again. He suggested they leave the country together.
At the hospital, the cops were about to drag an arrested Gloria out of Jeffrey's room. Glo begged Jeff not to let her go to jail. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," he gleefully responded. Gloria demanded to speak with Michael. Jeff laughed as she was hauled off to prison and promised to take care of Jabot for her. Later, Kevin visited Jeff in the hospital and realized that his stepfather had purposely burned himself with the tainted cream. "Where's my mom?" Kevin asked. "Probably complaining that horizontal stripes make her look fat," Jeff replied. Kevin feared that the rest of the family could get into trouble. "Well, maybe you can get adjoining cells," suggested an unsympathetic Bardwell. "I know it's not the Christmas you're used to, but at least you'll all be together." Kevin argued that Jeff said he loved Gloria. Jeff replied that he still does. "Are you on crack?" asked a disbelieving Kevin. Kevin then threw orange juice in Bardwell's face, making Jeff scream in pain. At the jail, Gloria complained about being treated like a criminal. She finally made her one phone call to Michael.
At the warehouse, Michael was upset after realizing that River was a con artist who'd stolen money from that bank all those years ago. River insisted that he's a changed man, but Michael didn't believe it. Meanwhile, Lauren was puzzled when Eden all of a sudden said she hated Genoa City and wanted to leave town.... River warned Michael that if Michael worked against him, Eden could get hurt. Later, Jana informed Lauren and Eden about Gloria's arrest. Gloria panicked when Michael wouldn't answer his phone. Kevin arrived at the prison instead. They were both shocked that Jeff actually had
her arrested. After, a cop questioned Gloria, but Kevin told her not to speak until Michael shows up. The cop warned that if she didn't speak, he'd put her in a cell.
At the prison, Victor instructed Frank not to talk to any lawyers until he tells him to.... Heather didn't want to run away with Adam because she feared she'd lose her job and be disgraced. Adam promised to take care of her, but this didn't make her feel any better. Adam then informed her that he made arrangements for them to get married immediately. She didn't want to do it, but he was confident that she loved him. Heather told him to leave. Adam begged her to consider his plan and said that he'd wait for her at the airport. Later, Michael asked Heather to put out an arrest warrant for River.
At the end of the show montage, Adam waited for Heather at the airport... Victor read the issue of Sophisticate that published his "journals".... Gloria was escorted to a cell as Kevin watched.... Michael returned home to the news of Glo's arrest.... Gloria's mug shot was taken.
Wednesday
At the jail, Kevin assured Gloria that Michael was on his way. Meanwhile, Michael was shocked when Lauren informed him that his mother was arrested. He was frazzled when he then got a call from Victor.
Adam waited at the airport for his plane to leave, but it was snowing out and the flight was delayed. Adam thought back to happier times with Heather.
Jack met up with Billy at Crimson Lights and warned his little brother that Billy can't avoid him. Billy explained that he wasn't, it was just that Ashley was on his case about being involved with Jack. Jack then informed Billy that Sharon kicked him out of the house for being with hookers. Billy didn't believe it. Jack asked him to stop by his hotel suite to discuss the changes at Jabot. Jack snapped when Billy replied that he's "willing to listen." Billy was annoyed at being treated like a "flunkie" and reminded Jack that he's being pulled in different directions by Jack, Ashley and
Jill. Billy stood up to him and stated that he's a valuable player. Jack questioned his loyalty; Billy promised to honor their deal when the time was right. After Billy left, Ghost John appeared and noted the resemblance between John and Billy, including "the uncanny ability to walk over any family member that gets in his way." John advised Jack to focus on making his loved ones happy rather than making his enemies suffer. Later, Jill told Billy that she forgives him for the Jabot takeover. She wished she'd had a
better relationship with Katherine and didn't want to lose Billy, too. They agreed to a truce. Jill invited Billy to work with her at Chancellor Industries. Billy asked if he'd be able to take a position as Cane's boss and accused Jill of favoring Cane over him. Jill explained that she's trying to make up for lost time being Cane's mom. Billy pointed out that she shipped him off to boarding school when he was a kid. Billy turned down her job offer. Jill concluded that he helped take over Jabot just for the money, and warned him that Jack and Ashley would get more of it because he wasn't one of the original three Abbott siblings. "Mom, I love you. I just don't
want to work for you," Billy said and left.
At the diner, Pearl and "Marge" were busy at work. River entered and asked for a cup of tea. Meanwhile, Eden realized that River wasn't coming home, and was devastated. After she stormed out of the room, Michael told Lauren that River admitted to stealing the money from the bank and orchestrated the bank's explosion. Michael lamented having two criminals for parents. Lauren assured him that he's not River. Later, Lauren advised Eden not to
talk to River. Eden demanded to know what was going on with her father.
At the prison, Gloria was devastated when Michael informed her that she can't leave yet and still needs to be arraigned. "This is not a speeding ticket. This is manslaughter," he reminded her. Gloria was furious with Jeffrey, but Kevin pointed out that all of her secrets would've come out eventually. He wondered if Jana had a point with all of her talk about karma. Glo freaked out over the idea of staying in jail overnight.
Pearl and Kay discussed how generous Murphy is. Pearl noted that Murphy's business didn't make him much money. Kay thought back to when Pearl suggested she sell her ring at the pawn shop. She offered to help Murphy with his business, but he told her not to worry about him.
Jack returned home to the Abbott mansion and found it decorated to the nines for Christmas. Ghost John admired the work and asked if Jack has done his best to make sure that Sharon and Noah have a real home. John noted that Jack has become addicted to lying and is driving everyone in his life away.... A sad Billy text messaged "Fallout Girl," a.k.a Lily, in order to cheer himself up.
Michael and Heather met to discuss Frank's confession about the forged diary. Baldwin didn't think Heather could be objective in the case since Adam was involved. After, Heather called the airport to see if Adam's flight had left; it hadn't. She rushed to the airport, where a thrilled Adam embraced her. Heather then had him arrested.
Michael told Eden the truth about River being a con artist and assured her that she's still his family. "Go to hell," Eden angrily replied.
Jeffrey came home from the hospital and told Jack that his face got burned after using Gloria's face cream — and then informed Jack that Gloria was the one who tampered with the Jabot moisturizer two years ago.
Thursday
Ashley visited Victor in jail and reported that Jack denied having any involvement with the diary. Victor understood how difficult it was to have your family member turn against you. They couldn't understand how someone as sweet as Hope raised a son like Adam. Ashley changed the subject by informing Victor that Abby was coming home for Christmas. Victor was beginning to worry that he wouldn't be released in time. Later, Victoria and J.T. went to see him. Victoria believed that Sabrina was looking out for him, but couldn't understand why Victor couldn't be released immediately.
She was alarmed when he informed her that he handed Frank's confession to Heather. Victor trusted Heather, but Victoria wasn't so sure.
Heather arrested Adam and brought him in for questioning. The D.A. questioned Adam about having the diary forged. Adam insisted that he was innocent and found the diary at the Newman Ranch. Adam suggested that Victor hired Frank in jail just to make Adam look bad. Heather wondered why he didn't turn in the diary to the authorities; Adam replied that he'd been maligned by Victor and thought he'd make some money off of it. They next asked where Jack came in. Adam stated that Jack introduced him to the
publisher — and then said that Frank might have been working for someone and had the diary planted, especially since Victor has so many enemies. Adam couldn't believe that Heather would think he'd set Victor up. "You know I'm not that kind of person," he whined. "Adam, what the hell do you think you're doing?" she answered and accused him of lying. After, Heather told her boss that she's sure Adam isn't telling the truth and vowed he wouldn't get away with it. They let Adam go, but told him he has to stay in town. Heather volunteered to step down from the Victor case, but wanted to keep working on Adam's so she could put him in jail. "Remind me to never cross you," her boss said.
At Murphy's place, "Marge" planned a surprise for her friend. Murphy pleaded with her to tell him what she was up to, but Katherine refused. Kay then went to the pawnshop and tried to sell her ring. She wanted $15,000, but he offered $6500. They finally settled on 10 grand. Later, Kay presented Murphy with the cash, but he didn't want to take it. She insisted, as payback for him helping her and giving her a place to live. Murphy was impressed when Kay revealed that she got the pawnshop owner to pay her double what he initially said the ring was worth.
At Crimson Lights, Jana and Jill took part in a product placement segment for V8 when Jill agreed to donate to a food drive being sponsored by the company. Victoria and J.T. also made a donation.
Jeffrey informed Jack about Gloria being the one who doctored the Jabot moisturizer. Jack was furious and demanded to see Gloria. At the jail, Gloria was led out wearing — gasp! — an orange prison uniform and no makeup. "Right now, I'd like to wrap my hands around your scrawny neck and squeeze the life out of you," Jack seethed to her. "Need anything, Buttercup?" Jeff
chirped. "I need you to drop dead," Glo told her husband. Jeff left the room and Jack questioned Gloria about tainting the cream. Glo lied that Jeff recreated the formula and set her up. Jack didn't buy any of it and blamed her for him being kicked out of Jabot. Gloria said she loved John, but Jack didn't think she really loved John if she was willing to destroy Jabot. "You're going to prison for manslaughter," he vowed.
At Jabot, Ashley ran into Jill. Jill couldn't understand why the Abbotts blindsided her about taking the company. Ash doubted that Jill would've sold them her stock. Jill refused to be bullied out of the company and warned Ashley that Jeff and Gloria would soon stab them in the back. Later, Jeff arrived at Jabot and also let Jill know that Gloria contaminated the face cream. Jill promptly filled in Ashley. "I'm going to kill her," growled Ash. "Get in line," said Jill. Meanwhile, Gloria was confident that she wouldn't
get convicted. Jack blamed her for the two worst days in his life: when John died and when he lost Jabot. Gloria refused to take responsibility for either. Jack promised to do anything to keep her behind bars.
At home, Heather thought back to happier times in her relationship with Adam. Adam soon came over to see her and couldn't understand why she betrayed him. "You broke my heart," he said. "You broke mine," she cried. "You're a felon." Adam still believed that Victor killed Walter, and was angry that she was defending Victor. "Take the ring and get out!" she screamed, placing her engagement ring in his hand.
Friday
At Crimson Lights, Michael and Kevin discussed Gloria's arrest. Kevin admitted that he didn't fill in Jana on the entire story about how Gloria tainted the cream and may have killed a woman. Jana overheard and wondered what they were talking about. She was horrified when Kevin told her the truth.... Noah asked Eden if she believed River was guilty for blowing up the bank. She wasn't sure what to believe. She then found a lot of money in a very unusual place. Noah suggested they stash the money at his place. Later, River went to the Baldwins and went to take the money. Eden caught him. River informed his daughter that he's going back on the run, but she can't come with him.
Jack paid Sharon a visit and told her that Gloria was the one who doctored the cream. Sharon invited him in. Jack told her that Sharon has been the only thing right in his life since he had to leave Jabot. "You could have such a good life if you would only stop standing in your own way," she said. Sharon planned to evict Glo and Jeff; Jack readily agreed. Later, Jack reamed out Ghost John for defending Gloria when he was alive.
Meanwhile, Ashley went to the jail to see Gloria. As she waited for Glo, she thought back to how self-righteous Gloria had been when she'd originally been questioned about the product. When Gloria saw her, she didn't want to talk, but Ash wouldn't have it. "Sit your ass down!" Ashley demanded. Gloria insisted that she was innocent. "I thought you were a shameless golddigger, but you're so much more dangerous than I imagined!" Ashley shouted, then
vowed that they'd take Gloria for every penny she has. After, Jeffrey visited Gloria and she warned him about what Ashley said. Jeff presented her with divorce papers. He still couldn't get over her testifying for River. "Who would you rather give your money to?" he cackled? "Jack and Ashley or me?" "I'd rather give it to Satan himself," she retorted. "At your service,"
he stated.
Nikki went to see Victor in jail. She reminded him that they need to make their Christmas deposits into their children and grandchildren's accounts — and that their account is frozen. Victor wasn't being very cooperative, but she reminded him that they share kids and grandkids together, and that it was Summer's birthday. She agreed to wish her a happy person for him.
Nick and Phyllis blew up balloons for Summer's birthday party, but Phyllis gave her husband the cold shoulder. She admitted that she was having trouble getting over the fact that he'd kissed Sharon. They bonded as the set up the decorations and kissed. Later, Nikki arrived and sensed that things were tense. Nick admitted to doing something he shouldn't have. Later, Sharon
stopped by the party to deliver a gift. She asked to go inside to say hello to Summer, but Nick didn't think it was a good idea. He revealed that Phyllis saw them kissing in Paris. When Phyllis heard Sharon was there, she asked Sharon to leave. Sharon agreed and walked off. Phyllis returned inside, not speaking to Nick. As the teddy bear cake was being cut, a furious Phyllis chopped off the bear's head. Yikes.
Adam went to see Heather, but she asked him to leave her alone. Adam again urged her leave town with him. "The problem isn't with the town; it's you," she told him. "This is the last time we're gonna see each other," he replied. He returned the engagement ring to her and angrily told her to sell it. After, Paul came by. Heather embraced him and broke down in tears. She lamented not taking Paul's advice about Adam. Paul assured her that she did the right thing, especially because he found more evidence against Adam.
Heather had trouble containing herself.... Adam stopped by the jail to say good-bye to Victor and "thank" his dad for the "learning experience." "I've studied your moves," Adam said, noting that he's getting to walk while Vic is in jail. "One of the great disappointments in my life is to see the way you've turned out," Victor replied. Adam was about to leave the jail, but was then arrested again, right in the jail. "Now that's entertainment," cracked Michael, as Paul and Victor looked on. At the courthouse, Rafe was signed to Adam's case. Adam was shocked when one of the men he'd dealt with in Mexico appeared in the court. Later, Ashley visited Victor and he assured her that he'd be vindicated soon.
Sharon returned home and found Jeff lounging on the couch. She told him to move out. He didn't put up much of an argument. Meanwhile, Ghost John explained to Jack that he had had no reason to be suspicious of Gloria, and that Jack should concentrate on getting back his position at Jabot.... Kevin and Michael went to see Gloria. Michael informed her that she'll need to stay in jail for a few more days until she's arraigned. Gloria began to cry. Michael then told her about River being a con artist. River was furious when he searched for his money and found it missing.... Gloria couldn't believe that she'd testified for River — and it had been all for nothing.
