Monday
Victoria and J.T. met up at Jimmy's bar and he told her about the note he found hinting that Victor was connected to Mary Jane. Victoria was furious and couldn't believe he'd think her father was involved. J.T. noted that Victor became defensive when he asked him about it; Victoria angrily stormed out. Soon after, Colleen entered the bar and found J.T. drinking alone.
Amber came by Lauren and Michael's place so she could work on her designs.
Michael informed Amber that the D.A. has decided not to drop the charges against Daniel. Amber reasoned that if she pretended to be interested in Deacon, she could get close enough to find the evidence which would exonerate Daniel. Lauren invited Amber to stay with them, but Michael wasn't pleased with the idea. Lauren argued that it would keep Amber out of trouble with Deacon... At Crimson Lights, Daniel told Kevin that he was going to find a way to beat the charges.
Deacon instructed his lackey, Ryder, to work on Kevin.... Jana entered the
coffeehouse and found it decorated like the ashram. Kevin wished her a happy
anniversary and presented her with an amusing gift, which she enjoyed. They
were interrupted when Ryder came by. Daniel returned and became suspicious
when he saw Ryder there. Kevin explained that Ryder was in trouble and had
come to him for advice. Daniel asked Jana to meet him at Jimmy's. He then
informed her that he'd followed Ryder from Deacon's room, and that he could
be dangerous. Jana was alarmed. They then looked online at pictures of the
Terroni and realized that one was the actual painting.
Neil and Devon were against Lily moving back in with Cane, but she reminded them that she's an adult and it's her decision. "That house is where I saw my future," she explained. "I need to remember, more than ever, that I have one to fight for." Neil feared that Cane would break her heart again. Lily assured him that she's going to recover from her cancer, but needed him to be there for her. Neil embraced her. Later, Tyra arrived at Neil's place and realized that Devon had told Neil about them sleeping together. Tyra apologized for her actions, but Neil realized that he'd cheated on Karen with Tyra. He explained that he couldn't be angry at her because of that and blamed himself. He was more concerned about possibly losing Lily. Tyra planned to visit Aunt Virginia.... Lily went to Cane's, where he lavished her with attention. She wanted to hear the details about his past with Phillip. He did, and also regaled her with a funny story about how he and Phillip had once pretended to be a couple in order to keep a woman from hitting on Phillip. Cane then reminded Lily that she's the love of his life. "Thank you for finally introducing me to the man I married," Lily said.
Victoria ran into Deacon at the G.C.A.C. and asked him to cheer her up. He
shared that a deal for a painting had gone through and invited her up to his
room to discuss it. Upstairs, they began passionately kissing. Outside of
his suite, Amber applied eye drops to make it appear as if she'd been crying.... J.T. walked Colleen home while a P.I. whom Victor had hired, followed them. Inside, she admitted that she wished she could go back in a time machine to when they were together. They kissed ... as the P.I. snapped pictures through the window.... Deacon and Victoria were also getting hot and heavy, but were interrupted by a "tearful" Amber, who cried that she needed him.
At the coffeehouse, Ryder told Kevin that he killed someone.
Tuesday
Amber appeared the G.C.A.C. and tearfully told Deacon that she needs him, not letting on that she was faking in order to get the evidence to exonerate Daniel. Deacon sent her to the bar, then returned to his room, where Victoria regretted kissing him. Meanwhile, J.T. and Colleen kissed at his place, but he pulled away and said he couldn't be with her because he loves Victoria.... Upstairs, Deacon and Victoria blamed their kissing on the moon. She left before it could go any further.
At Crimson Lights, Jana and Daniel discussed Deacon and the Terroni painting. Daniel concluded that he had to deal with Deacon himself if he wanted to stay out of jail. Jana implored him not to confront Sharpe, and to instead speak with Victoria to get some details about Deacon. He agreed and gave Victoria a call.
Meanwhile, Ryder confided in Kevin that he killed someone. Ryder explained that he came to Kevin for help because Kevin is "real." Kevin understood what he meant. Ryder then revealed that his father is dead, but was abusive when he was alive — and called Ryder "worthless." Kevin insisted that the things that Ryder's dad said were wrong. Kevin promised not to call the cops on him.
Chance took Chloe out to dinner at the club and treated her like a lady, pulling out her chair. Amber ran into them and they insisted that she join them. Chloe informed her friend that she and Billy are over, but that she's doing well. Amber then revealed that she and Daniel had broken up. Chance became interested when they discussed Daniel's murder charge. Amber stated that he's innocent and it's her fault that he's involved in the first place. She then got a call from Deacon and left. Chance told Chloe that Amber seemed like she's reckless and would go for a bad boy. Chloe replied that everyone makes mistakes.
At the Newman Ranch, Abby still sensed that someone was watching them, but
Victor assured her and Ashley that J.T. had all of the cameras removed.
Victor tried to prevent Abby from meeting Colleen for dinner, but Ashley
insisted that her daughter stay close with the Abbotts. After, Abby was
surprised when she went to Colleen's and found J.T. there.
Daniel told Victoria that Deacon is trying to frame him for murder, but she was skeptical. Daniel warned her that Sharpe can't be trusted.... Ryder returned to Deacon's suite and reported that he and Kevin bonded. Deacon was pleased and stated that without Kevin, they had nothing.... Jana was suspicious of Ryder, but Kevin didn't believe that he wanted anything from him. He confided in her about Ryder's murder confession and that he was an abuse victim. Jana thought that Ryder was playing him and vowed to call the cops the next time Ryder showed up. Kevin called Ryder and asked to talk.
Victor knocked on Ashley's bedroom door, but she didn't answer him. Victor
pleaded with her to talk to him. He then broke down the door and found
Ashley asleep in bed. He stated that he was scared when she wouldn't answer
him; she replied that she was just tired and didn't want to talk. "Are you
that angry with me?" he asked. "I just need some time," she told him. He
reminded her that he loves her and asked her not to push him away. Ashley
feared that he'd take her baby from her, but he promised that he wouldn't.
Colleen assured Abby that nothing happened between her and J.T., but then
admitted that they'd kissed and that his marriage to Victoria was in trouble.... Victoria and J.T. met up at Jimmy's bar and apologized to each other for their earlier argument. They agreed to put the day behind them and go home together.... The P.I. called Victor and informed him that Vic wouldn't like what he'd uncovered by following J.T.
Amber went to Deacon's suite and he let her know that he was on to her ruse.
She said that if he gives her the evidence, she might give him what he wants. He refused to let her all of the cards. Amber still tried to get the upper hand by flirting with him. They then kissed and fell onto the bed together ... but were interrupted when Daniel banged on the door and screamed at Deacon to open up. Chance then got a call that someone was disturbing the peace upstairs.... Deacon opened the door and Daniel demanded that he hand over the Terroni. Amber desperately tried to keep Daniel from starting a fight. The cops and Chance then arrived and Daniel was arrested. Later, Deacon told Amber that she'll marry him if she wants to keep Daniel out of jail. Gulp.
Wednesday
At his apartment, Michael laid into Daniel for confronting Deacon. Daniel defended himself, saying that he was not going to back off a trail of clues that could lead to his freedom. They were engaged in a heated argument
when Amber arrived at the door. Daniel became even angrier upon learning
that Amber was living with Michael. Daniel called Amber out on visiting
Deacon. Michael screamed at all of them and stormed out of the room. Lauren
admonished both Amber and Daniel for stressing Michael out. She tearfully
pleaded with Daniel to see the good in Amber and to let her back into his
life. Outside in the hallway, Amber explained to Daniel that she was trying
to do the right thing, and that she would always love him. He replied that
everything that mattered to him was gone now. Amber went back in to the
apartment, and discussed with Lauren her opportunity to set Daniel free in
exchange for marrying Deacon. Lauren begged her not to do something so
foolish. Ignoring Lauren's plea, Amber headed back over to Deacon's. Alone
with Michael, Lauren disclosed to him that she was concerned about his
well—being. She begged him to never to take another case involving friends and family. He promised her that this would be his last, and that he would
set better boundaries in the future.
Daniel came back to Lauren's apartment, looking for Amber. He told Lauren
that he had thought about it, and that she was right — Amber needed to come back home to him. Lauren feared that it might be too late ... that Amber
might be doing something stupid, even as they spoke. Sure enough ... at
Deacon's, Amber agreed to accept his marriage proposal in exchange for all
the evidence that would set Daniel free.
Ryder arrived to meet with Kevin at the coffee shop. Kevin confronted him
and demanded to know if he was working for Deacon. Ryder claimed to only
know him because he had applied for a job with him. Kevin kept pushing for
answers wildly until Ryder finally admitted to killing Balfour in the alley
behind the bar. He spun a big web of lies to Kevin about how Balfour (whose
real name was Ray Elkins) had met his father in jail, and the two of them
beat him and locked him in a shed as a kid. "Tom called me a cockroach and
told me that only the cockroaches would ever love me," Ryder told Kevin.
Kevin was shocked upon hearing the name "Tom.” Ryder went on to tell more
lies about his childhood, making it seem as though Terrible Tom was his
father, and that Kevin was his brother. Kevin begged Ryder to come clean to
the cops about the shooting — even offering Michael's services — but Ryder played on Kevin's soft spot, pretending to be terrified at the thought of
being locked up in prison.
After Ryder left, Daniel immediately called Michael, who rushed over. Kevin
filled Michael in on everything Ryder had "confessed.” He then sheepishly
admitted that he had promised Ryder that Michael would represent him — pro bono. He shared his belief that Ryder could be his brother.
Billy and Mac arrived at the GCAC for a date and were presented with an
awkward situation upon finding Chloe and Chance there as well. Because they
were late, their reservations had been cancelled. Chloe and Chance invited
them to sit down at their table. "Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your
seatbelts ... we could be in for some turbulence" deadpanned Billy as they
sat down. After discussing Chance's new job as a police detective, Chloe
announced that Chance was different and more gentlemanly than any man she
had ever dated. "I have to ask you, Billy, are you jealous?" she shot. Billy
grabbed Mac and left. "What in the world did I ever see in him?" Chloe
mumbled to herself. "Billy is a pompous ass, and I feel really bad for Mac,"
she said aloud to Chance. Chance wondered why Chloe kept talking about Billy
when she was supposedly over him. He advised her to really think about what
she wanted. Chance grabbed her impulsively and kissed her passionately. He
pulled away, saying that he liked her a lot, but that he would not be her
rebound guy.
Back at the trailer, Mac and Billy recounted how badly their date had gone.
They made up for it by making love. After, Mac asked Billy if he was completely over Chloe.
At home, Lily came back into the living room after attempting to sleep. Cane
comforted her. He implored her to focus on her recovery. He pulled her into
an embrace and assured her that he would still love her, even if the chemo
caused her to lose her hair. Lily shared that the thought of losing her hair
slowly in clumps was awful. She became determined to take control of the
situation, and asked Cane if he would shave her head. Her emotions were
everywhere, as she ceremoniously cut her ponytail. She closed her eyes as
Cane turned on the razor and began working. When he was finished, Lily
looked into a mirror and was happy with herself for having the courage to do
it on her own terms. She smiled at her new appearance.
Thursday
Michael invited Gloria over to be with her on the anniversary of John's
death, knowing it'd be a tough day for her. She admitted she loves Jeffrey
but will always love John. Michael admitted he wants to talk about Tom
because Kevin believes Ryder is his long-lost brother. Gloria was blown away
by the suggestion, and added that Tom was gone a lot on business trips but
she wouldn't be surprised if he fathered another kid.
Ashley had visions of driving at night and seeing Sabrina. Victor came in
and asked Ash if she's fine. She covered, adding that all is well. Later,
Billy and Jack asked Ash to come to the cemetery and pay their respects to
their father. Ash wasn't buying it and laid into them for trying to
manipulate her on the anniversary of John's death. Jack admitted he's
concerned about her. Then she had another vision of Sabrina; Jack was
worried. Ash claimed she's just tired and told him that she's not
hallucinating again. She surmised Jack wants to send her away to a
psychiatric hospital, just like he did to Sharon. She broke down and kicked
them out. The men departed. Jack was at a loss, but told Billy he doesn't
want to push Ash over the edge. Meanwhile, Abby told Colleen she wishes
everyone would give her mom a break. Colleen asked Abby to keep mum about
seeing J.T. over there.
Kevin gave Daniel an update on Ryder at the coffee shop. Daniel thought
Kevin is crazy and said that everything leads back to Deacon. Grimes came by
to inform the that the charges will likely be dropped now that Ryder has
confessed. Kev was relieved; Daniel surmised the case isn't closed and
they're being set up by someone else. He was determined to find out what
Deacon wants. Meanwhile, Amber stopped by Deacon's place. He warned her
not to back out of their deal, lest Daniel is arrested again. Deacon had
plans for an elaborate wedding; Amber bristled at the thought and reminded
him that it's a business arrangement. Deacon reminded her that she doesn't
have to hide her dark sides with him and offered her a ring, along with a
proper marriage proposal.
Paul approached J.T., who gave him the note about MJ. Paul wondered why MJ
would stay in town. They decided to start investigating her whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Victor met with the P.I., who presented him with some troubling
photos of J.T. Victor then called Victoria and showed her the photos. She
was shocked to learn that J.T. had secretly been seeing Colleen. Victor
surmised that they didn't sleep together because Abby interrupted them.
Ashley agreed to go to the cemetery with Abby. Ash was ashamed that she'd
forgotten the date of her father's death and told Victor that she truly
misses him. Later, Abby came by to present her mom with a photo of Ashley
with John. Meanwhile, Jack sought advice from John about Ash. "Look in your
heart and you'll find an answer," John advised and told Jack now he knows what it feels like to be the patriarch in the family.
Michael told Kevin that he's probably being played by Ryder and urged him to
be careful because something is fishy about Ryder's confession and told him
to stay away from him. Ryder phoned Deacon to say that he confessed and
doesn't have a good feeling about it; Deacon quickly hung up. Daniel stopped
by to tell Amber that the charges against him have been dropped because
Ryder confessed. Deacon played dumb. Daniel urged Amber to leave with him
right now and nix whatever deal she's made with Deacon. She wouldn't so
Daniel walked out.
Later, Paul and Jack met up at G.C.A.C. Paul explained that he's trying to
figure out why Mary Jane is sticking around town but they've checked
everywhere and there's no sign of her. Meanwhile, Billy went to see Colleen.
They reminisced about their dad and wondered what he'd think of them now.
Billy brought up Mac and said it's the best thing that's ever happened to
him. Colleen flashed to making out with J.T. and added, "I totally
understand."
Kevin visited Ryder in jail and showed him a photo of Tom, who Ryder
recognized as his father. Kevin then revealed that he thinks they're
brothers.... Michael informed Victor that Jack signed petition to get Ashley
admitted to an institution.... Victoria confronted Colleen about J.T....
Paul saw a blond woman go up the stairs at G.C.A.C and told J.T. he thinks
it's his sister Patty.
Friday
As Lily and Cane prepared to go to the hospital for her chemo treatment,
Devon and Neil showed up and were shocked to see her bald. When they all got
to the hospital, Lily and Cane met an older gentleman named Harry who was
going through chemo too. A nurse later explained to Lily that Harry was a
widower whose children lived out of state.
Even though Riley identified the photo of Tom Fisher as his dad, Kevin
didn't believe it. "I think you're full of it," he told Riley, who insisted
he wasn't pulling a con job.
Amber was shocked of Deacon's desire to marry her. She proposed that they
wait until after they get married to have sex again and Deacon agreed. But
Amber was in for a shock when Deacon announced that he wanted them to get
married in "a couple of days." Amber stormed out. Deacon then got a call
from Ryder who reported that Kevin doesn't believe him. Deacon went to the
jail and advised a nervous Riley on how to keep playing Kevin. "This would
have been a whole lot easier if Tom had just told me where he hid the
painting before he died," Riley grumbled but Deacon said it will be a lot
less complicated to deal with Kevin than Tom. Deacon also explained that
there is a bidding war going on with his clients even though he doesn't have
the painting yet. Ryder worried that Deacon would leave him high and dry but
Sharpe assured he wouldn't do that.
Paul checked with the G.C.A.C. but no one was registered under his sister's
name. Still, he told J.T. that the woman he saw reminded him of Patty. The
detectives parted and J.T. went to Crimson Lights and asked Jana to show
Mary Jane's photo to her customers.
After being confronted by Victoria, Colleen confessed that she wanted J.T.
Col also accused Victoria of treating her husband like an employee and
letting Victor bully him. Victoria was furious and after the ladies
exchanged heated words, Colleen kicked her out. Colleen then warned J.T. via
phone about the photos.
When Jana wondered to Kevin why Riley confessed to murder, Kev suspected
that the guy could be a pawn in someone's plan. Kevin then declared that he
has to find out if Riley is his brother. Kevin brought a lab technician to
jail so a DNA test could be done on him and Riley. After he left, Amber
lamented to Jana about Deacon's marriage plans. Jana urged her not to give
in to Deacon's blackmail but Amber insisted she had no choice.
J.T. apologized to Victoria about kissing Colleen, He pointed out that he
hasn't been connecting to his wife for a while but Victoria got defensive.
"You want me to say it's my fault? Fine! It's my fault," she raged, then
stormed out. J.T. visited Colleen and said that his family must be his first
priority so he needs to stay away from Colleen. Meanwhile, Victoria showed
up at Deacon's suite and they started furiously kissing.
A flustered Mary Jane rushed into her room. "That was too close," she
fretted about her near confrontation with Paul. When MJ answered her door to
the maid, a hidden Paul spied her. He left a message for J.T. about which
room the fugitive is staying in. When MJ tried to leave, Paul barged into
and cornered her. They scuffled and broke some knick knacks. When Paul tried
to call the police, she blurted out, "I'm your sister," then brandished a
knife. Paul refused to believe her but was shocked when MJ sang a song that
he used to sing to her as a kid. "Oh, my god, no!" Paul screamed and
collapsed to the floor in sobs.
