Young and Restless Recaps

Y&R Week of December 1, 2008

Monday

Kevin and Jana staged a Thanksgiving meal for the needy at the coffeehouse.
She was curious as to where her hubby got the bucks to buy her scooter and
all the food for the feast, but he claimed he used a credit card. Gloria then
Michael showed up and he blasted his mom about not helping River. After she
slipped away, Kevin blabbed to his brother that Gloria is planning a
takeover of Jabot with Jeffrey and Jack.

Devon was miffed that Yolanda's phone had been turned off which meant she
wasn't reachable. Neil contacted Michael for help in getting Ana back. "What
you need is a sympathetic judge who doesn't mind being pulled away from his
family on a holiday," Michael advised so nothing could be accomplished until
the next day. Neil, Tyra and Devon tried to convinced the social worker to
allow Ana to stay with them, but were turned down. It was also revealed that
Yolanda was now clean of drugs and married. "I should've never come to
Genoa City," Tyra sobbed. Billy overheard the legal woes and, with Lily in
tow, tracked down a lawyer buddy, Rafe for help.

Jack was surprised when Jeff announced that he wanted to be appointed CEO of
Jabot once the takeover was complete at the stockholders' meeting. "I'll act
for the good of the company, with your guidance, of course," Jeff assured so
Jack grudgingly agreed. Later, Jack was again surprised when Gloria
approached him to remind that she would be named CEO as they planned. Jack
didn't reveal his earlier conversation with Jeff, who returned so Jack made
a toast to their effort tomorrow.

Daniel had to comfort Amber who broke down after she burned the turkey. It
turned out she was really missing Katherine. They went to Mrs. C's grave so
Amber could have a good cry. Later Amber and Daniel promised to focus on
their new careers, fashion design and art, respectively.

Gloria and Jeff came back to the coffeehouse, where Michael asked about the
takeover. "It's a dream come true, Michael," Glo chirped but her son asked
when she became so "heartless." Later, Jana found Kevin's stash of money and
he explained it belonged to Kay. Kev said he would give it up if that's what
Jana wanted but she said it wasn't her decision. "It's up to you," Jana
pointed out.

As Ana's closest relative, Devon was allowed to see Ana who was
understandably frightened. He assured his little sis that she will be back
home with them soon. Devon gave Ana his watch so she would sing every hour.
Tyra was allowed to say goodbye before Ana was led away to a foster home for
the night. Billy and Lily returned to announce that they got the best public
defender to represent Tyra and Ana. Gil apologized for turning Tyra in but
she was too angry to be receptive. Neil explained to Tyra that Gil was only
doing his job. Tyra and Devon comforted each other over the trouble Yolanda
is causing.

Tuesday

Gloria, Jeffrey and Jack were anxious to take back Jabot from Jill. Jack
reminded them that he was to be consulted on everything and that they were
to stick to the script. Glo assured him that they were all on the same team.
Jeff was confident that he'd be the new CEO of the company.

Meanwhile, Cane tried to calm a nervous Jill as she prepared for the Jabot
stockholders meeting at the GCAC. Cane went to leave, though, when he was
told about Ana being taken by family services. Jill was horrified when the
Bardwells and Jack arrived for the meeting. Jack called Billy and told him
to come by the meeting so they could "make history." Brad then joined the
group, as well as Kevin.... Outside of the meeting, Chloe and Colleen
exchanged words. Colleen taunted Chloe about Cane not loving her.

At Neil's place, he and Tyra tried to find a way to get Ana back, but their
lawyer Rafael advised them to play by the rules. Tyra was devastated when
Rafe warned her that the case could drag out for weeks. Tyra tearfully
recalled how Yolanda had been an unfit mother to Ana. She was upset when she
was told that she could have a supervised visit with Ana, but Neil reminded
her that the important thing was her getting to see the little girl. Later,
Lily was surprised when Cane stopped by the Winters' home and offered to be
a witness in Ana's case. Lily was touched, but admitted to Olivia after he
left that seeing Cane hurts. Liv asked Lily why she didn't pursue Billy;
Lily explained that it would be awkward dating Cane's brother. After, Karen
complained to Liv about Tyra being too dependant on Neil. Olivia recalled
telling Neil that she sensed he had something special with Tyra.... Tyra,
Karen, Devon and Neil met with Ana at Crimson Lights. Ana wanted to go home
with them and was upset when she was told that she couldn't. Devon promised
her that she wouldn't have to go back to Yolanda. Karen revealed to Ana that
she understood what Ana was going through because after her mother had died,
Karen was sent to live with relatives.

Nikki and Esther went to Crimson Lights after unsuccessfully searching the
Chancellor Estate for Katherine's ring.... At the diner, Pearl admired
"Marge's" fancy ring, but Kay couldn't recall where she'd gotten it. Pearl
believed that it was the real deal and not costume jewelry. Kay replied that
with the amount she'd made in tips the day before, there was no way she
could've bought something that expensive. Murphy was also curious about the
ring. Kay was frustrated that she couldn't remember anything in her life.
Later, the ring was missing.

Nikki went to the Jabot meeting and accused Jill of taking the ring. Jill
denied it, but admitted that she was hurt that Kay hadn't given her the
piece of jewelry... Nikki then accused Jack of framing Victor for murder,
but he denied the charges. He was surprised when she informed him that she's
moving on from Victor. She advised Jack to do the same in terms of his
rivalry with Newman.... Gloria promised Kevin a big promotion once she took
over the company. She was confident that she'd be the CEO.... Lily found
Billy's cell phone and went to bring it to Billy at the Jabot meeting....
Colleen couldn't understand why Brad wanted to be at a meeting with people
he didn't get along with. He explained that he didn't want to make their
lives easy.... Jack gave Billy a pep talk and reminded him that he'd
financed Billy's life in Hong Kong — and that they were working together to
honor John's memory. Finally, the meeting began and Jill addressed the
stockholders. Jack urged Nikki to stick around, but she left. Later, Gloria
stood up and announced that she and the Abbotts would be taking over Jabot,
now that they had enough shares of stock. Jill was horrified. "You've been
planting a hostile takeover all along!" Jill fumed. "I feel no hostility,"
Gloria replied. "You can't do this!" Jill stated, but Glo was unfazed and
stated that Jill and Cane were now fired from the company. Billy then
arrived and announced that he'd be running Jabot.

Wednesday

At Crimson Lights, Nick, Michael and Lauren wanted to discuss the cover of
the new Restless Style that had been shot in Paris, but Phyllis didn't want
to talk about it. Lauren then brought up Eden and noted that Sharon disliked
the teen. This caught Phyllis's attention.

Daniel tried to come up with an idea for a sketch, but couldn't think of
anything. Amber was disappointed that she wasn't working as his muse. Daniel
finally decided to do a show featuring his paintings since his last show had
featured his sketches. Soon, they were joined by Jana, who was surprised
that Amber and Daniel had decided to quit Restless Style. Amber explained
that she was going to use Kay's money to launch a clothing line. Jana
pronounced Daniel's painting, which looked like a blob of different colors,
"brilliant." Amber then asked how Kevin had afforded Jana's new scooter.
Jana flashed back to Kevin finding Kay's money.

At the Jabot stockholders' meeting, Jill was stunned to learn that Billy was
part of the company takeover. Billy explained that he wanted to get the
Abbotts back in control of the company again. Cane was furious with his
brother for stabbing Jill in the back. Jill concluded that Jack had
brainwashed him. Jack just smiled and toasted to the revival of Jabot. Jill
couldn't believe he'd joined forces with Gloria. Glo noted that under Jill
and Cane's leadership, the company was failing. Cane argued that Kay
supported him being in charge. Billy remained quiet this whole time. Jill
finally approached him and accused him of betraying her. Just as a big
argument was about to break out, Ashley entered the fray and announced that
she'd be the one running Jabot. Ash reminded the stockholders that she's had
a lot of leadership experience. Jill noted that Ashley was there during the
moisturizer debacle; Ash assured her that she had nothing to do with that
and would make sure the labs adhered to the highest safety standards. Jill
then stated that Ashley was away for a long time and out of the loop; Ashley
pointed out that she'd been working for Forrester during that time....
Colleen and Lily argued over whether or not Billy was disloyal. Coll pointed
out that Billy was being loyal to John.... Billy tried to explain himself to
Cane and Jill, but Cane wouldn't hear it. "Why don't you go back to the side
of the family that doesn't think you're scum?" Cane growled, adding that he
was stupid for thinking he could bond with his brother. Chloe called Billy a
jerk. Ashley was surprised that Jack was being so cool about her taking
charge. He was pleased that she was returning to Genoa City. She explained
that she was going to make sure he didn't do anything to get himself into
trouble.

At the Abbott mansion, Noah was about to leave, but Sharon stopped him. Noah
explained that he was going to his friend's to do homework. Sharon also
demanded to know the friend's name, which annoyed Noah. Sharon asserted her
right to know what he's up to. After, Noah and Eden went to the coffeehouse,
where they ran into the Baldwins, Nick and Phyllis. Nick wanted to know what
his son, who was supposed to be grounded, was doing there and reamed him out
for lying to Sharon. While they were arguing, Michael noted that Phyllis got
"twitchy" whenever Sharon's name was mentioned. Phyllis broke down and
confessed that she saw Nick and Sharon kissing in Paris. Michael was
confident that Nick's crazy about Phyllis. Phyllis replied that Sharon's
always calling Nick for help and he runs to be there for her. Phyllis then
shared that she had information that could break them up; Michael urged her
not to scheme because it could backfire. Later, Sharon arrived and also
scolded Noah. She and Nick told the teen that him and Eden can't hang out together,
but Noah refused to obey. "It's not like we're robbing banks, so what's the
big deal?" he snapped.

A gleeful Brad taunted Jill for falling on her face. "Up yours, Bradley!"
she spat. "Always a lady," he chuckled.... Jeffrey and Jack conferred about
Ashley being in charge. Jeff warned him that unless he and Gloria were
happy, the Abbotts could lose Jabot.... Lily felt badly for Cane losing his
CEO position. Cane replied that he was mostly concerned about Jill. He then
cautioned Lily about her growing friendship with Billy.... Ashley and Billy
looked forward to working together.... Gloria and Jeff wondered how they
could manipulate Billy and Ashley. Glo believed that Ashley would play
nicely.... Cane assured Chloe that him losing his job wouldn't hurt their
finances. "We're Chancellors. The Chancellors rock!" she stated. "Damn
straight," he agreed.... Amber mused that it was odd timing that Kay died
and Gloria was left Kay's Jabot stock, right when Kevin was having financial
problems. Kevin insisted that he had nothing to do with Kay's death.... Lily
gave Billy the cold shoulder.... Jill warned Ashley that if Jack is involved
with Jabot at all, she'll ruin both of them. "You have a nice day, too,"
Ashley replied.... Jack reminded Billy that he owes him for the time he
footed Billy's bill in Hong Kong. After, Billy and Jill exchanged glances,
but didn't say anything. A crushed Jill turned and walked away.

Phyllis called Brad and informed him that Sharon was about to get some bad
news about Jack — and she wanted Carlton to be there to pick up the pieces.

Thursday

Noah argued with Nick and Sharon over his friendship with Eden. They
explained to Noah that he seems to get into trouble whenever he's with his
new pal and grounded him.

At the GCAC, Jack planned a special dinner for himself and Sharon. He ran
into Phyllis and informed her about the Abbotts winning back control of
Jabot. Phyllis complained to him about Sharon interfering in her marriage.
Jack assured her that he and Sharon are closer than ever. After Jack stepped
away, Phyllis made a hotel reservation. She then called Nick and told him to
meet her at the club.... Jack informed Sharon about winning back Jabot and
assured her that everything he did to get it back was on the up-and-up. She
didn't entirely believe him. "This is a new beginning for us. I'm going to
be the perfect husband," he promised, then invited her to join him for a
special evening. After, Phyllis called Noah and asked if he could
babysit Summer. Noah wasn't sure since he was grounded, but Jack gave him
permission.

Michael met with Victor at the jail and informed him that the experts have
confirmed that the handwriting in the diary is Victor's. Newman denied it
and implored Michael to grill Jack about having the diary forged. Later,
Victor was approached by Frank, who told Victor he knows the truth about the
diary — that it's a fake. Victor was intrigued. Frank offered to give him
information if Newman could get his lawyer to release Frank. Victor
suspected that Frank was conning him. Frank showed he was sincere by giving
Victor a very detailed description of the first page of the diary. Frank
agreed to talk for a million dollars. Vic warned Frank not to cross him.
Frank got up and left.

Phyllis looked over a list of credit card charges, then called Brad and
instructed him to intercept Sharon that evening at the GCAC. She was certain
that Jack and Sharon's marriage was about to end. Later, Nick waited at the
GCAC bar for Phyllis while Phyllis set up their hotel suite. Nick was soon
handed a card by the bartender, instructing him to come to the room...
Phyllis called Michael and asked him to make sure Sharon and Jack stayed at
the club until a "special delivery" arrived for Sharon. Michael didn't want
to be involved in her scheme.... At the GCAC, Jack and Sharon sat down for a
yummy meal of Italian food. Brad looked on from across the restaurant. Jack
toasted his "wonderful wife."... Nick went to the suite and found Phyllis
donning sexy lingerie. He appreciated the romantic surprise. Before enjoying
their time together, though, Nick and Phyllis called Noah. He quickly got
them off the phone.... and turned to Eden, who'd joined him. Uh-oh!. The
teens tried to study, but ended up kissing.... Back at the hotel, Phyllis
suggested that she and Nick take a bubble bath together. He liked the idea.
But first, she answered a knock at the door: it was room service, bringing a
bottle of champagne. She gave the waiter a big tip, then instructed him to
bring something to Sharon.... At the restaurant, Jack gave Sharon a cute
gift: a literal clean slate.... Brad called Phyllis and complained that
Sharon and Jack seemed to be perfectly happy together. Phyll assured him the
"games" were about to begin.... Soon, Michael interrupted Jack and Sharon
and asked to speak with Jack about the diary. He blamed Abbott for writing
it, but Jack denied it. As they argued, the waiter brought Sharon Jack's
credit card statement. Brad watched as Sharon read the charges. She asked
Jack why he had so many charges to the Genoa City Motor Arms Hotel and why
he'd paid for an escort service. Jack announced that he's a sex addict!

Friday

At the prison, Victor asked to see Frank. Frank again asked for a million
dollars, but Victor refused to give him the money and noted that he has
information on Ellis. Vic then mentioned Frank's autistic son and how he
needed help. Frank warned him to butt out, but Newman explained that this is
now his business. He offered to take care of Frank's family if Frank gave
him information about the diary. He then warned that if Frank didn't help,
he'd throw him to the cops. Frank promptly began talking, explaining that
while he did the actual forgery, Adam brought him the handwriting samples,
while Jack came up with what to write. Victor requested that Frank write
down his confession and agreed to help take care of Frank's wife and kid.

At the GCAC, Sharon was furious when she received the list of Jack's
suspicious credit card charges and he announced that he's a sex addict.
Sharon found it hard to believe that he would frequent cheap motels and
stormed out of the restaurant. Michael plopped down in her empty chair and
accused Jack of lying about being a sex addict. He believed that Jack was so
desperate to keep a secret that he'd risk ruining his marriage to Sharon.

Upstairs in their suite, Phyllis and Nick donned bathrobes and enjoyed
dinner together. She reminded him that they have to act like a couple and
not just co-workers or Summer's parents. When Nick stepped away, Phyllis
called Brad and told him to keep watch for Sharon. Brad obliged and followed
a tearful Sharon out of the GCAC. He offered to drive her home. Sharon
explained that she and Jack had a fight, then broke down.... Nick and
Phyllis happily snuggled. They declared their love for one another and
promised to be there for each other forever.... Sharon tried to call Nick,
but he wasn't answering his phone.... Nick wondered why Phyllis had arranged
the romantic evening for them. Phyll replied that she's felt like she's
spending less time with him now that Nikki and Sharon seem to need his time.
Nick assured her that she's the most important person in the world to him.

Nikki ran into Ashley at Crimson Lights and filled Ash in on her failed talk
with Victor. Nikki believed that Ashley was pleased about this turn of
events and accused Ash of arranging the meeting just to set Nikki up for
failure. Ashley denied this and said that she'd actually defended Nikki to
Victor.

Michael went to the prison to meet with Victor to discuss Frank. Michael
explained that they couldn't just take Frank's word about the forgery, but
Victor wanted Baldwin to get him out of jail as soon as possible. Michael
noted that Frank's confession wasn't admissible as evidence in court.

At the Abbott mansion, Brad wrapped a sweater around Sharon and comforted
her. Jack returned home and demanded that Brad leave. Sharon thanked Brad
for being there and he headed out. Jack then admitted to her that he wasn't
telling her the truth at the club. Sharon angrily snapped that she can't
believe anything he says and told him to move out. Brad listened to their
fight from outside and was pleased. At the GCAC, Phyllis soon called Brad. "
Phyllis, you may be a scheming witch, but you're a talented scheming witch,"
he praised. Phyll implored Carlton to be there for Sharon after Jack left.
After she hung up, Nick asked who she'd been speaking with. She lied that it
was a business call. Nick suspected that she was keeping something from him
and urged her to open up to him. Phyllis insisted that she was the happiest
she's been in a long time.... Jack again begged Sharon for a chance to
explain, but she wouldn't give it to him and told him to go. He headed
toward the door, but before he left, he said, There is one thing I never
lied to you about. I'm crazy about you, Sharon. If you believe nothing else,
believe that." Sharon watched him depart, then sank into the couch, crying.
She thought back to her time in Paris with Nick when they'd kissed. Later,
Brad returned and offered her a shoulder to cry on.... Jack moved to a room
at the GCAC.

Ashley visited Victor in jail, where they embraced and kissed. He then asked
her to sit down and told her about Jack's involvement with the forged diary.
Ash was shocked.
