As viewers of Friday’s GH saw, Julian did, indeed, survive his nasty run-in with deranged sister Liv on the footbridge. His portrayer, William deVry, spent Julian’s weeks of presumed death resting easy, since Executive Producer Frank Valentini had assured him that reports of Julian’s demise would be greatly exaggerated. Shares deVry, “Frank had told me, ‘Don’t worry about it. We’re going to bring you back.’ I said, ‘Well, how long is this going to last?’ He said, ‘Oh, a couple of weeks.’ For me, it feels like it’s been a couple of months!” He is grateful to his fans for making it clear how much he was missed during his brief absence. “I really do appreciate it,” he says. “It’s always interesting to see how much support you get and it’s always a good reminder. The fans, believe it or not, are a big variable in actors’ decisions. Fan support means a lot to us and all I can say is, ‘Thank you very much. I’ll try to return the love.’ ” For more with the actor, check out the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, on sale now.
