I went to the sold out late show and quite liked it. They kept it true to the book and the casting was great. I enjoyed it and look forward to the 2nd movie.

Me Me Me Me!!! I took my 15 year old daughter with me on Friday and loved every minute of it. Now that Summit has given the go ahead for New Moon I can't wait for that either. Of course that has a release date of 2010 because of special effects, but I still can't wait. LOL!

I saw Twilight and loved it!! Those two have chemistry that smolders the whole time they are together. I am reading the books now. The movie was very close to the book and I have to say that I am loving the books too and 2010 is way to long to wait for another movie. I hope they put it in overdrive so we can see the movie sooner!!

I saw it. LOVED it. Went back to see it two more times and I swear it gets better and better with each viewing. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart completely OWN Edward and Bella, respectively. I was anxiously awaiting the numbers to come in that first weekend and when they did my jaw practically hit the floor. We kicked some major butt at the box office and I couldn't have been more thrilled because I knew that it meant one great thing: on with the sequels! I love the angsty goodness that is New Moon and I can't wait.

That's what I heard. It gets better each time you see it. I haven't been able to go see if again (without my daughter) because of some major illnesses I've had over the last week and a half, but I seriously want to see it again after I'm better. What I'm worried about is Summit not putting Chardwicke in charge of New Moon yet and only Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart being tagged for the movie so far. No mention of the rest of the cast.

Oh I think the rest of the cast will all sign on, just like in the Harry Potter movies. They are holding out for the cash and you know what, good for them. With this kind of revenue and following they will all stick with it. And to think that Robert Pattinkson (or however you spell it) got killed off in Harry Potter, and now as Edward, he is going to be as big if not bigger. Funny how things turn out.

Hardwicke and Summit Entertainment couldn't come to an agreement so they are getting a new director. I wonder who it will be. So far only Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are signed up, but you could be right about the money thing. I'm interested to see what they do with Jacob since the actor is too short for New Moon. Maybe a bunch of CGI or something.

The fandom is going batshit crazy right about now with the news that Catherine Hardwicke won't be directing New Moon. I personally love Catherine. I love her style of directing and I love what she did for Twilight, but I'm excited about a new director coming in and taking over the ropes. Alfonso Cuar

I've seen a lot of people jumping for joy that Hardwicke isn't directing. Personally, I think she did the best she could do with the limitations set forth by Summit. Of course that's a horse of another color. I support the saga because of the saga though. Not who's going to direct/produce/etc. Taylor did a great job as Jacob. No doubt about that. He seemed to understand the part and fully became Jacob. You are right about leaving things out. He doesn't have to be a huge person when CGI can easily make it look like he morphed into the wolf. Watching the movie I got confused about a few things because they were so detailed in the book, but left out in the movie. Like the first dance wasn't prom, but was the girls ask the boys. That made me shake my head. However, when it comes down to it...this isn't a Stephen King adaption where you can put almost every little detail in it and have it run for 4+ hours on TV (remember The Stand or The Shining remake?). It's a movie that needed to pear down a bit to fit in two hours. Awww...I think Jacob and Bella would have been cute together, but I'm for Edward and Bella. Heck, I think I'm more for Alice. There's something about her that just makes me giggle like a school girl because she's so bubbly. I will give Meyer this...it's something that mothers can enjoy with their daughters and bond over. My daughter seriously pushed me to read the books and now we have yet another bond that can't be broken by those boys that live with us. ROFL!!!! Nope! Hubby and son have no idea what they are missing. ~Snort~

The movie was okay, I guess. Bella and Edward didn't really have any chemistry in the movie, and they always seemed really awkward together. It also looked like the director was trying really hard to be artistic but failed miserably. I just came across an opinion poll and surprised to see most of the voters think Twilight was not as good as expected. I think the sequel will be better.

I think that they were supposed to not only be in love, but at first it was supposed to be an awkward love. I've seen all the opinion polls, but like my mom used to say....opinions are like backsides....everyone has one. I think Hardwicke did a fantastic job with what she had to work with. New moon with more money will be good...no doubt about that, but sometimes you work with what you have and do the best you can. Which (IMHO) I think Hardwicke did.

Well, the love and relationship between Edward and Bella is awkward and strained to a point. I think Robert and Kristen have an amazing chemistry and understood their characters well and how they were supposed to feel. I think what was lacking was more buildup before the meadow scene and that has everything to do with the writing, not the actors.

Have you ever seen any of Hardwicke's previous work? She wasn't "trying" to be artistic, she just is. That's her style. She was an architect and production designer before she moved on to directing. Her style of directing is certainly not for everyone, but I really liked it and thought it worked. My [few] problems with the film lie with the screenplay, and what with Melissa Rosenberg returning as screenwriter for New Moon, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll have learned some lessons based on feedback. I'm pretty excited about it, though. I can't wait to see what Chris Weitz is going to do.

~Throws everything including the kitchen sink at Mala~ (You know I'm just kidding you though...I wuvs ya Mala)ROFL! Too funny. I loved the book and loved the movie. If I saw the movie before I read the book I would have been frustrated reading because there's a few things skipped in the movie that were in the book. Now I'm patiently waiting for New Moon. Okay!! I'm not a patient person. Sheesh.

I have to agree, it was just ok for me. I know book to movie adaptations always lose something in translation but I think they left out important things that will be left unexplained and assumed in the next movies or they'll be tripping over themselves backpedling to explain. For instance, noone's back story got told, except Edward's and they barely touched on it. I think that's important espeically when they move forward with the other books. When Alice & Jasper took Bella to Phoenix they really bonded, they just glossed over that. When do we find out about Jasper's calming ability, cause they didn't say anything about it in the movie. The Port Angeles stuff with the Bella being trapped, it just felt forced. Bella called her father Charlie, I don't think she called him Charlie once in the movie. They downplayed Carlise's role. I don't know, maybe I need to watch it again, cause I wasn't that impressed. Not sure if I'm gonna see the rest of them. It lacked a lot for me.

I can't wait to get the DVD either. I have to say I wasn't really interested to begin with. My friends actually talked me into going to see the movie. I told them if the movie sucked I was going to slap them. After watching it I told them they should slap me. LOL I then read the first and second book right after. I love them! I can't find the third one so I have to wait unpaiently. I did like the book better cause there was more detail in it but I noticed alot of thing I liked better in the movie. Some being: In the movie Jake and his dad were at Bella and Charlies's house when they got there, in the book Jake just showed up at the beach that was kinda werid. I thought it was dumb that in the book Charlie didn't go see Bella in the hospital but in the movie he was there after the whole James thing and Bella appoligized for the way she treated him when she left. I know there are more but I can't think of them right now.

The launch party is coming!! LOL! My husband thinks I'm some kind of weirdo (he knew this in high school though...LOL) for loving the Saga. Now I am patiently (NOT) waiting for New Moon. I'm actually hoping to re-read (for the 5th time) the Saga again before New Moon comes out. There were some odd things in the movie that I didn't understand at first (like the dance....the first was supposed to be the Girls asking the Boys, but it jumped right to the prom), but I can't wait to see what was deleted. My daughter really pushed me to read the series and I resisted for the longest time. LOL!

It was just announced this morning that they are not going to film the high School scenes in Kalama WA like they did for the first movie. Kalama is 10 minutes from my house, so I did get to see some of the filming and it was pretty cool. I am SOO excited for the movie release next week to see it again. I had a friend tell me to ready the books and loved them from the first one. I will definately re-read them agian.

I wonder where the high school scenes will be filmed then. I'm wondering if I should just pre-order the 2 disc DVD on Amazon so it's not sold out at my local Wal-Mart. They are having a launch party there and I'm sure my hubby won't let me go out at that time. LOL! Nighttime blindness and driving isn't good when put together.

What they said is that they are going to use a blue screen in the background of the high school for the scenes. They were measuring the parking lot to make a replica of it for a Canandian shoot. You can look at the article at www.tdn.com. sounds like they are trying to save money, which is weird to me since it make 70 million on opening weekend alone and the first movie had a small budget.

Wow! That's just not right. They need to keep things from the first one, but with a new director, he's going to try and put his mark on it. I really think if they are going to use a blue screen for this, they need to pay the school for permission to use the images of the school on screen when they aren't really there. Unfortunately, with them filming Eclipse same time/right after they will really mess it up because there's a lot of La Push in it.

If I remember correctly, that apple scene never happened in the book. The director probably put that in the movie to make it look like the cover of the book. LOL! It was kind of goofy if you ask me. I loved New Moon and can't wait to see it on the screen. Eclipse was good. I flew through that book in a day. LOL! Breaking Dawn (which I almost hope they don't make) was a harder read. Everything felt very rushed from beginning to end.

I'm taking my time with all the books. There was an interesting way that one writer broke it down, saying that this is the perfect bf for a teenaged girl. Other than the fact that he's avampire and is constantly watching her. Hmmm like a stalker, but not in a bad way. It was interesting tho, as to way ten girls are all over this book

It really is a consumate love story that transends lifetimes. I just watched the movie again with this outakes and LOVED it. It is a great series. If you like mythology another great series is Percey Jackson and the Battle of the Olympians by Rick Ricordian. I liked that as well.
